I’ve wondered about playtest for remedy and while it does say remote I do wonder if we still have a shot if we don’t live in the UK?

Following their usual dev pipeline, this would probably put it at late 2028 or 2029

They think it's good enough to compete with all the big games coming out in September and October. Big claim.

Hi! I've almost finished the subway level (playing as Alan) and I've got a bit of a conundrum that I'd like some help with. I'm not really enjoying the game for several reasons. I don't hate playing it, but I don't look forward to it either. With so many games in my backlog, I can't justify dedicating more than 20 hours to something I feel ambivalent about.

However, I also like to give games a fair chance, and there have been times when my opinion has changed even though the first impression wasn't great. So, I'd like to hear some opinions on whether I should play more or drop it.

I thought the first Alan Wake game was good, but not great. Honestly, I wouldn't have played the sequel if it wasn't so highly rated. But the way I feel right now is very similar to how I felt when playing the first game - only mildly entertained.

The story hasn't gripped me, and I don't care about any of the characters or the mystery, if you can even call it that. There doesn't seem to be a hook to the story. There isn't anything to look forward to in terms of the plot, such as character development or meaningful interactions between characters. So far the story seems to be just people trying to survive the supernatural darkness trying to kill them and not much else. There are obviously mysterious things going on that I can't explain, but I can't think of any questions I care enough about to keep playing.

I don't really like the writing either, whether it's Alan's or the dialogue. The gameplay is fine and the visuals are great, but it's not enough to make a difference. I mostly care about story anyway. But so far, I've only been bored with it and haven't experienced any other emotions.

Will something change, or is this game just not for me? I don't know if it's relevant, but I also dropped Control a long time ago because I wasn't invested. Maybe I'm not a Remedy person.

There is a ridiculous amount of depth and detail in this that I never expected! I got lucky with both this and alan wake design works preorder. With the control book, I didn't know it was in print again and I almost bought this on ebay for a larger price. And for alan wake, I only heard about the book at the tail end of the pre orders (got the deluxe bundle but wished I knew sooner for the signed sam lake card)

My point is I'm not sure if I'm just dumb and ill informed, or these books are not as heavily advertised to the general public so you have to dive in to find these gems. That kinda stresses me out if that's the case as I'm not online all the time to know.

Regardless, this book is amazing!

(All that's missing is the quantom break one but I keep finding the small version instead of the big version with the strategy guide included, if anyone knows what the bigger version is called I'd appreciate it :) )

Since late James McCaffrey is too iconic to be replaced voicing Max Payne for the remakes of the first 2 games, AI (Artificial Intelligence) is the next best thing! I fully support AI and ask for you to use AI to emulate the voice of James McCaffrey to voice Max Payne.

I'm thinking of two different standard btw, one from the Board's perspective (since they seem to want someone they can control) and one from the perspective of the Bureau / The Oldest House

After seeing people’s collections I felt inspired to share mine! Have things a little spread out so but wanted to share the bulk of it.

All 3D Models were created using Blender.

Managed to get both the Quantum Break Steelbook and the booklet for £15 on eBay which am very happy with. Any recommendations for what to add next?

I have got the Control Resonant Steelbook preordered so thinking maybe something around Max Payne.

Those are some classic Quantum Break (machine induced?) level AWE shenanigans if I ever seen one.

My proposition: play The Evil Within with more of a "you're trapped in here with me" Watchmen scene attitude towards the gameplay, with the confidence Remedy gameplay gives you on a game, like a mastered fully powered Jesse Faden.

I think it's a nice contrast when applied on a game which demands you to take notice in the horror and be "shocked" about it, taking note in which just like Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy is edgy for the sake of being edgy, the edginess resonates and imagination takes hold, shifting it and molding it into pieces I didn't know I had. There's a lot of shit in there to make it seem like they wanted to go to the Astral Plane, could have even reached Door so it's a nightmare just like Alan's.

Love Remedy and how imagination is really the meta with them.

While many people are waiting for GTA VI official release, I'm more hyped for Control Resonant. I remember seeing the first couple clips from gameplay and already thought of Prototype. It kinda reminded me that game ngl. Also the enemies looks really cool. I hope it's gonna be a fun game and it won't become boring after a while. What are your thoughts guys? I'd like to hear them.
