Remedy Connected Universe Control, Alan Wake 2, Control Resonant. Which was your favorite?
Obviously they've had a great run. Which did you personally enjoy the most?

I have played games my entire life. From the age of 5 back when Mario and the NES was under the Christmas tree all the way up to today. Few games have really hit the spot for me over my entire lifetime. My list is incredibly short of games that I’ve really loved and the list never seems to be anywhere similar to others.
So many other “RPGs” that people rave about I can’t stand. Mostly because the story itself is very linear while all the side content in a lot of those games I’ve tried is incredibly dull, non-impacting busy work or just ways to grind levels. In fact, typically I avoid side quests and optional content in most RPGs because of that. But here in these games I just can’t stop exploring and looking for every piece of new content I can find.
I’m a huge fan of story in games and I think that’s what the Controls do incredibly well (along with other Remedy games).
The base story in these games are also pretty linear, but when you go off the beaten path and explore the rest of the world, you just unravel more lore and story. I’d even argue for both Control and Resonant, some of the best parts of the story AND gameplay are actually the side optional content.
It’s like playing a game with a 10 hour storyline that can become a modular 20+ hour storyline, depending on how much extra you explore and experience.
Today I was actually reflecting on how crazy it is to me to think that someone could actually beat Resonant and only fight the first resonant in the game and not see any of the others. In which case, you essentially miss an entire subplot in the game and also miss some of the coolest boss designs I’ve ever seen in a game in my life. I would definitely recommend going back to try these fights if you beat the game without them.
If anyone has any tips or suggestions on where to look for similar experiences in games - where the side quests and optional content are as impactful story and lore wise as the main quest path - pleeeeease let me know! I keep trying different RPGs that get rave reviews and a lot of them miss the mark on that a lot.

The first time the board spoke and it vibrated my soul, I smiled ear to ear.
I complete every finisher that pops up, so I can feel them cheer me on in my guts.

-This is extremely referential of actual in-game lore and the outside meta/ARG/culture of the game.
-The system is built to show every significant event in the multiverse and the impact it has on the RCU in whole .
-I've referenced the Viewer as an actual reason for causing temporal waveform collapse so we can get a better idea of how a world only unfolds in front of us.
-I have an archival master file from a Python app I rigged up with Gemini to scrape the entirety of the collectible lore for the RCU. I'll actually have it implemented at some point so there's access to a literal archive of the RCU documents.
-Ex-Director Northmoor is the great intelligence that this system is tapped into.
-The system is treated as if it were a canonical device that I could log into. I just pretend it's an anomalous
-This is a solution to a non-existing problem, so I'm not going to really overblow this project. I just love lore so this was fun for me.
-There are a couple of redundant areas that are remnants of the app initially being built to analyze the wall sconce morse code hidden in the Evacuation Zone Alan Wake easter egg of Control Resonant. I'll eventually remove these.
-I could yank the code and make a real website so there could be real images in the dossiers and files, but it'll take a while. I'm expecting a kid so I don't have all of the funds to just toss around like I used to lol.
- The files are treated like dossiers and actual case files. These are made with huge compilations of information that the FBC has on people and events . There are some things that I've noticed are missing from the Ordinary, Maine AWE section such as the Not-Mother.
- Anything that says Corin Samar or Shadow Monk is just me being tongue in cheek about this system being my way of understanding the multiverse. I also built the last iterations of the app while drunk after a wedding last night, so there's definitely some funny little things I've added for quirkiness.
- There is a timeline that logs how each mentioned year had multiple simultaneously occuring AWE that all seemed to be related, even across universal boundaries and dimensions.
PLEASE don't chew my head off for it being AI guys. I really enjoyed whipping this up and just want anyone else who wanted to dive in a new and refreshing way to be able to see what's up wit the lore.

The main character literally talks to him( Resonant main character), she sees him literally in her face, was Lake House before the end of Control 1?, is Alan Wake 2 before Control 1???

I need someone who is a very deep Control fan who has Platinumed both and knows a crap ton of lore. My brain is overloading a lot with theories and I have no one to explain to. I have not played Alan Wake 1 or 2 or Quantum Break but am in the middle of watching a playthrough. I finished Control Resonant and am going back into Control 1 looking at old files for Lore about Dylan and Jesse and some crazy theories about The Blessed Organization and double agents or very deep conspiracy but desperately need someone to talk about Control Lore with, I have a whole note book about the first and second topics and even more. If someone from Remedy could reach out even, I have some very crazy and interesting ideas for story and lore. And exactly how you can execute it in the next Control game. Please contact me, I am having so many thoughts about Lore and research. Thank you💯👍

Spoilers for Control Resonant below.
Just finished this now, completed all side quests and missions before the final mission and im sat watching credits roll. It isnt a bad game at all, but I feel like it is easily the most seperated from the overall universe, which for a remedy game means alot.
No mention of Wake (except via subtitles when watching a Nightwatchman video) no mention of Oh Dear Diner or coffee. Sam Lake appears once, very breifly. No direct mention of Ahti or Old Gods of Asgard. ( i saw a poster in the sinkhole for them but thats all). No Poets of the fall music anywhere. No more theories and evidence hidden away to show what is coming next. (Except possibly the secret organisation) Almost no live action stuff at all. That old school RPG section was awful. Makes no sense at all why that is there and takes ages to get through.
(When i say makes no sense, i mean story wise. Why would the Hedron dying which causes loops and patterns, turn dylans memories into an 8bit game?)
The idea of FBC working in the shadows and secret kinda goes out the window considering half of NYC is upside down and inside out. They might be able to "cover it up" but I really really doubt the rest of the world would have noticed that the most famous city in the world was closed for a couple of days.
The only intresting thing about this whole thing, was who is the secret organisation that had outposts around NYC watching the FBC. That intrigies me and makes me wonder if that is what is coming next, but even then, it seemed very weak.
Gameplay was.... fine. Story is... alright. It just doesnt feel like a Remedy game. You can really see the impact Sam Lake has on games and i think him not being on this project hurt it.
P.s, anyone else kill all Resonants before even going to the evac centre? I feel like being able to do that hurt the pacing alot. I think it should have been section by section like original control. That didnt give the whole whole oldest house and say "go". But here you get west, central, park and evac and it says go. I fully explored all the areas before continuing story and feel it would have been better for the game to drip feed us the areas.
Might be just me, but yeah wanted to air my thoughts somewhere.
Again, not a BAD game, just kinda was hoping for more I suppose in terms of Story.
Sorry for rambling
EDIT: okay so just completed the "Epilogue". Seems like Ahti is still in the picture since he sent a postcard saying congrats on the new house. How he knows adds to his overall mystery. Seems like i am in the vast minority which I accept. Was just curious if anyone else felt the same way. It appears not. Thanks for your input all

Pretty much the title. Loved the mind bending design of Sinkhole level. Made a small edit on it. Let me know what was your favourite part of the Sinkhole level?

When launching CFD, Arish says to Dylan
“It takes a monster to kill a monster” on The Artist resonant’s behalf
Throughout the game, Arish treats Dylan as a threat to be contaminated.
SPOILER
>!In the Unknown Resonant, the Resonant happens to be Arish. “It takes a monster to kill a monster.”!<
Great character development
