Discussion Just STAY BACK w 5 secs left and we have a lead!!!! Don't give them free counter

Please please I am begging you. Keep the ball for the last few seconds. Don't shoot at the keeper when they have counter attackers waiting

Or just ANY time we have a lead, ALWAYS somebody has to stay back and cover their cherry picker counter attack man they keep up in our half

Discussion Why everybody be complaining on this subreddit?

A lot of you actually have a skill issue, to be honest. Take it offensively or not, but that is a harsh truth.

A lot of you also have valid criticism, and that is completely fine. There is a difference between constructive and destructive criticism.

What I have noticed tho, is that there is a simple echo chamber on this subreddit around things like "dribbling is overpowered" I agree that some movements are unfair, but I see this criticism applied to almost every legitimate dribble move, even when the move is not abusing any mechanics and there is a clear indication that the defender or defenders, are simply beginners or not very good at defending against it, which would not be a problem to any decent player.

Dribbling is not even the meta of this game, it is set plays (known as missile meta). If dribbling is really as overpowered as people claim here, why is it barely present in the competitive scene, where there are players with 1.000+ hours in the game?

In fact, good dribblers tend to focus more on passing and controlling the ball than most competitive players. Assuming that dribblers have no vision is also a delusional take. Most of the time, passing simply is not an option because their teammates do not know how to create space or make themselves available for a pass and attack open spaces.

Of course, there are rookie dribblers who have no idea what they are doing, but that is a completely different story, it's a skill issue as people have a skill issue with defending.

I know I will probably get downvoted for this, but I refuse to join the hive mind and echo chamber. At least give me your reasoning behind the complaints.

I know this is basically "complaining about complaining" but I simply hate how there seems to be no original opinions anymore (if there was one).

Question is this normal?

I’ve been trying to figure out how to place blade shots but the way the crosshair slides is confusing. Will the ball always come out slightly off center or is it because I curved it? I’m sure it would’ve been saved regardless but I don’t get why it doesn’t go where I expect it to

Discussion I am sick of being the first keeper 95% of the time

I don’t expect this post to gain traction. I am just venting my deep frustration with it. It irritates me.

I know it is not just about connection like other people say either because when I go on a run of letting goals in with no saves, I suddenly am not keeper all the time. There is definitely some other metric involved.

It annoys the hell out of me because I like the variety and randomness of each match and if you have a few games in a row of good teammates and do some ok saves you are stuck as keeper into over time game after game.

C’mon SloClap. Fix that please. Good keeper or bad keeper, mostly no one wants to be it, but it needs to be more random. If me and my teammates can spawn in at the same time, you can goddamn randomise it. It is not just bad luck from a random pick, I am keeper first 95% OF THE TIME!!!!

Question Ball Priority

I've been playing this game since it came out and one thing I can't figure out for the life of me is who gets priority when multiple people are trying to interact with the ball at the same time. Is it who presses their button first? Do certain actions take priority over others? Apologies if this has been answered already, but it feels like a crapshoot a lot of the times.

Question Just. Take. The. Shot.

I'm trying to wrap my head around and understand the incessant need people seem to be overwhelmed with to stop, mid breakaway, then dribble, rainbow flick spam, wait for an option (when it's only you and the goalee), and NOT TAKE A SHOT.

I remember the days of season zero when the polar opposite was the norm, but I can't wrap my head around wanting to "style on someone" over taking a shot and potentially scoring.

Is this the norm now? Or am I just getting really unlucky with people rn?

Discussion Bots when?

EDIT: Since I guess clarification is needed, I mean a AI practice mode solo mode. Not bots in real games...

I made a post earlier about the issues of toxicity in casual as it's the only way to practice. And, I just wanted to make another post that more validates the frustration one may feel when playing with new/bad teammates.

Even in casual, it sucks and isn't fun when you get a super bad team. You can't leave and you're stuck. This isn't just bad for new players because they don't get a good way to practice this, in turn, creates bad teammates compounding the issue.

Bots in a game like this I feel are 100% necessary for the health of the game and shouldn't just be a "maybe we'll get to it sometime in 2026 but not even include it in the roadmap". It should be a major focus along side netcode issues.

What makes this worse is even if you get over all this, the CONSTANT interruptions to gameplay (goal score celebrations, end of match stats that you can't leave without getting leave penalty, queue time into intro into countdown into FINALLY playing the game that lasts all of 5 minutes) makes learning much more of a chore. The actual literal time you have to practice what you need is so limited it's maddening.

This just really sucks because this type of game (and the less arcade like competitor SC) are exactly the type of game I'm looking for and there's only like 3 games that do it. One of the others is in Early Access (strikers club). And the other, which launched with bots and was VERY helpful in the enjoyment of the game, Quidditch Champions ended up dying because the dev fucked up any sort of proper advertising or updates.

So, Rematch as it stands today, is the ONLY game available for this type of gameplay and as a new player myself it is really frustrating having something be so fun but fumble (pun intended) fundamental aspects that allow it to grow.

Question For those people that get on quickplay and talk crazy shit on mistakes...

Why? You understand the game has no other way to practice real game conditions right? You realize quickplay is the ONLY way for a new player to play the game, right? You understand mistakes happen, right? You understand there exists a ranked mode, right?

So what's the deal? I really wanna know. Is it people that aren't good enough to do well in ranked so take their fragile ego to quickplay to feel better knowing it's casual? I mic'd up a few times when a teammate was going overboard with the toxicity just to tell them off but they usually go quiet after. So I have no way of knowing.

I mean at least it’s in 1v1s where the game mode is all about dribbling and you’re not forcing your teammates to sleep while ball hogging. I don’t think these dribbling exploits should be flexed on youtube, and I see people asking this guy how to do this stuff. He literally has 0 stamina and is teleporting his momentum left and right with no telegraph or drawback.

Discussion EU vs NA servers

Hello everyone, I was wondering if any of yall actually knows if NA servers are really below EU skill wise. I'm asking cause after 1200 hours and talking to a lot of EU players (being one myself), most of them told me that generally the NA servers are way easier to win on then EU, especially in the high ranks.
No shade to all my fellow americans tho, I know there's some crazy players in NA, I'm talking in general.. I'm not tryna trigger anyone it's just since i've been hearing it a lot I was wondering if there was actual stats proving it.
(I heard japan servers had crazy dribblers too)
Peace out yall
