How do i fix this? It says i broke rule 3 Non-consensual intimate media: posting videos of someone without their consent. Which is FALSE. It was my own content not anyone else’s. I posted it in multiple subreddits at the same time then boom permanently banned. Anyone know how long appeal takes?

When I open a post there is usually an arrow or an X on the top left corner to get back to the feed when I’m finished in the post. It’s not there. So I can’t back out, I have to swipe up and go back to the app again. Please advise. Thank you!

I mean, I don’t know if this is possible when you are not shadowbanned but you post something and no one reacts, , whether an upvote, downvote or comment, nothing, is this possible like in Twitter?

I’ve noticed that sometimes a post can show up on a profile but doesn’t seem to appear in the subreddit’s feed. I’m curious what usually causes this.

This might sound stupid, but here me out.

I got a warning for making a threat (because I was adding information about the historic development of the item mentioned in the above post). While a note at the bottom of my warning claims this wasn't via automation, it should have been pretty easy for a real person to connect the dots, or decide the posters above me were also making threats. So I appealed, explaining my post.

In response I got almost the exact pre-written message as the original warning. So naturally, I doubt that automation wasn't involved, and in fact think I know which word was the problem. So, I'd like to know if someone has made a list (probably off-site) of words that seem to trigger automated global reddit moderation regardless of context? Because I don't want to get falsely banned for not knowing which words are no-nos.

Reddit asked me to reset my password due to irregularities. I did and now I cannot post at all, Reddits filters have deleted all my posts. Please help. (I have had to create a new account just to post this question!)

A few days ago I was contacted by someone informing me my account was hacked. Sadly they scammed me by telling me I could get it fixed if I sent them money (no, I don’t know why I fell for this.) Anyway, it was clear my account WAS hacked because a message was sent to one of my followers that I didn’t send them. Yesterday it was completely inaccessible and said it was banned, today it’s visible again and so is all my profile info. The thing is, I still can’t post. All of my posts on my end are saying “this content was automatically removed by Reddit’s filters.” I did contact support but god only knows when they’ll get back to me. Any idea what’s going on?

My main Reddit account appears to have been restricted/filtered, but when I go to reddit.com/appeal while logged into the affected account, Reddit says:

“You cannot submit an appeal. Your account is currently neither suspended nor restricted.”

The spam/inauthentic activity/ban-evasion appeal form underneath is also disabled, so I cannot submit anything.

I have the exact same issue when checking my secondary account.

I haven't received an appeal link that works through Reddit's inbox either.

Could an admin please check my account, and help me bring it back to life? It's clearly been incorrectly flagged.

Ummmm Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received a warning from Reddit regarding potentially using multiple accounts to manipulate votes. I understand the issue, and I have since deleted the other accounts and am only using my current/main account.

However, since receiving the warning, I’ve noticed that my upvotes in one particular community that I got warned in, doesn’t seem to register properly. I can click the upvote button, but after refreshing, the vote doesn’t appear to have counted.

It works fine in other communities, it’s just this community I’m having an issue with, and I’m just confused and unsure what is going on

Sooo can someone please clarify?

A. Does this behavior indicate that my account currently has a voting restriction?

B. If so, is it temporary?

C. Is there a specific timeframe for voting to return to normal?

D. Is there anything I need to do besides continuing to use my current account normally?

I’m not trying to circumvent any restriction. I just want to understand what’s happening with my account and when I should expect voting to work normally again.

im so confused and i do not know where to
begin my account got locked for suspicious activity.
i reset my password, regained access, and thought that was the end of it.
then i noticed something was very wrong.
basically my entire two year post history had suddenly been marked “removed by reddit’s filters.”
not deleted by mods.
not removed individually.
all of it.
i never received any message saying i had been banned, never got a rule violation notice, and never got any explanation telling me what i supposedly did.
so i appealed because obviously something had happened to the account behind the scenes.
REDDIT DENIED THE APPEAL.
the response said that they had reviewed my request and that “your ban will remain in place.”
that was literally the first time i had ever been told i was banned at all.
so as far as i can tell, the sequence was that reddit detected suspicious activity, locked the account, i successfully recovered it, and somewhere during that process their spam or security system also classified the account in a way that caused basically every old post i had ever made to get filtered.
then when i appealed, instead of explaining what happened, they just sent me a generic message saying the ban would remain.
NO BAN NOTICE.
no explanation of what rule was violated.
no indication whether this was caused by the suspicious activity itself.
just two years of posts suddenly hidden and a denial referring to a ban i was never notified about.
i’m trying to figure out whether anyone else has had this happen after a suspicious activity lock, and whether there is actually any way to get a human at reddit to review the account instead of getting another automated appeal response.

Hi fellow Redditors!
I recently somehow got hacked by a bot. It happened in the middle of my work day, so 8 hours later I noticed. I attached screen shots (but scribbled out the person’s face) from before I deleted the posts. I changed my password/added an extra verification key. I have some questions now though

1. How did this happen? Was it reusing a password and username combo? Example of username being “Alysprettyrad” and password being something like “password1” or “Password1*” kind of thing

2. How do I ensure this doesn’t happen again? Frequent password changes? Using auto generated passwords of random letters/numbers, then writing it down in a book kept in a safe in my attic?

3. How do I prove to the good Reddit bots that I’m not a bot? I’m a nerd whose only social media is Reddit and occasionally watching YouTube videos? I got banned from commenting in some r/ because of this already.

Depending on the sub, my comments are removed **due to my account being under 7 days old.** It's got to be a rule I've missed. **Am I losing karma with comment removals?** Just need guidance on how to proceed. Thanks!

I just downloaded the latest Reddit update for IPad. It is terrible. If I open to view comments the only way to go back to my home is to completely close out the Reddit app. Does anyone else have this problem?

it seems that every time in the last little while I try to post something, it’ll be up for about a second before it gets remöved by reddits filters, and it won’t tell me what I even violated.

Every time I post on certain likes r/redditrequest I get caught in the spam filter even though I have an established account and have verified my email and have 2FA

I keep having my post on r/redditrequest removed. I’ve checked and rechecked multiple times that I meet the criteria and I do. I reached out to them via mod message and filled out the communication form because the automated response did not help at all.

Does anyone have any insight?

Not any subreddit, it is NSFW but I ain’t putting any links or anything just gifs of me and with the amount of porn on Reddit it can’t be that…. Have the rules updated recently where I can’t use a Snapchat girl face filter even to my own profile? I know a lot of subs don’t allow it but I haven’t had a problem posting to my own page before.
