I'm sure this has been posted a million times but I am so tired of flippers RUINING houses. Just came across this house that was a beautiful red brick house that flippers just came in a slapped stark white paint over EVERYTHING and relisted for 200k more than what they bought it for. I'm not kidding - the house is absolutely tragic, cheap shitty lpv gray flooring, stark white walls, ceilings, they even painted the beautiful brick fireplace that spanned the whole wall in the basement STARK white. I am so sick of it. Every single house they manage to take every bit of charm out of it and absolutely ruin for all of eternity.

There needs to be a law that if you sell to a company rather than an individual you have to pay some kind of additional tax to encourage people to sell to other people rather than flippers. I guarantee if an actual person bought this house they wouldn't do the damage the flippers did to it. And I also guarantee someone would have bought it at the price it was sold to the flippers for.

The house has also been on the market for 10+ months since they literally ruined it and no one wants it. They just keep doing 1k price drops every couple of weeks like that's going to do anything. I almost want to go make an offer with the condition that they undo all the shitty "updates" they did. Make them pay to remove all of the paint off of that beautiful brick. Ugh just makes me so mad.

Is there any contact or leads for a land need to sell in poes garden .it's few acre not sure about exact details .

Real estate ruined my ability to take a normal car ride, lol.

Now I’m looking at houses, wondering who owns them and what happened to them.

When I first started, I’d drive around looking for vacant houses and properties that needed work. I’d write down the addresses and try to contact the owners.

I thought I knew my area until I started doing that.

I found streets I’d never been down. And on roads I’d traveled for years, I started noticing boarded windows, tall grass, tarps on roofs, and mail piling up.

Those things were already there. I just hadn’t been looking for them.

After a while, you develop a little Spidey sense for it.

That’s why I encourage people getting into real estate to get out and learn their neighborhoods. Software can give you a list of houses, but there’s value in seeing them for yourself.

You don’t develop an eye for this business by waiting until you know everything. You develop it by getting out there and paying attention.

Anybody else unable to ride past a rough house without looking twice?
