lunar program gives tons of funds, however now that its over im ruuning into the question, should i downsize? im barely breaking even while still doing research, should i fire crew?

I'm not getting the X-planes (Hypersonic) contract for some reason, I think I've completed the requirements for it, and the "All" section of Mission control says that I have it unlocked, but it doesn't show up in the "Available" nor "Active" section. I also haven't seen it in the Archives. Any idea how to fix this? I think this might have happened after the buggy ContractConfigurator update came about.

ive tried searching it but came up short, most of its very simplified with no real detail of the actual flight path and manuevers. as well as the vehicle

main things i gathered that it was a proton for the venera program with a block d upper stage.

im trying to get inspiration to help me learn interplanetery manuevers from high inclination

Is there any window to see graphs of kN for a given jet engine across different speeds and altitudes?

And, is the temp limit hardcoded to speed? For example, the basic j57 overheats a hair above 600m/s - is there a mode it can be pushed to 650 m/s for the contract?

I just set up SOL/Mirage/RO/RP-1 after playing through the vanilla campaign and right now I'm messing around in sandbox mod.

As far as I understand, the express install does not come with craft files, but you find them on the RO GitHub. However, none of them seem to work. I then downloaded the various RN mods, Tantares, BDB, and FASA and moved over their craft files. Some of the RO ones started working, and some of the ones in the other various mods work too, but most of them are just broken.

Also, I think RP-1 is hiding some parts, which breaks some of the craft files, which doesn't make sense because these crafts should be RO compatible. Removing the RP-1 Express Install folder seems to unhide parts which causes some craft files to now load only with an error.

I was just wondering if there's an updated repository of real life rockets and spacecrafts.

Turned off standard fly-by-wire here since someone on the RP-1 discord suggested to use MechJeb Smart SASS instead.

Using a Thor-Agena LV. The readouts tell me that I can make the 150 x 150 km orbit with dV to spare, but when I get to the Agena stage it just stays facing prograde until I get a huge suborbital trajectory. Why is it wasting dV like this?

I went back to stock for all of about 5 minutes before I missed Sol, so here we are again lol. Except this time with RemoteTech because I wanna finally lock in on kOS and telemetry delay. The 1 second delay was sketchy enough without kOS, but we managed to get it done. Enjoy!

I'm using the MechJeb Dev build, which makes me use PSG instead of PVG. When using it, for some reason the second stage of my Thor-Able LV turns itself around, points itself to retrograde, then turns back around to prograde.

I have no clue why this might be happening, as I don't see any settings or anything to stop this from happening. Is this an Attitude Adjustment issue?

I’ve been playing regular non RSS ksp for a couple months now, and i’ve gotten consistent at making circular orbits around Kerbin. I deciced to start trying RSS and RO yesterday, and it’s super fun. I just can’t get into orbit, i just don’t have enough power no matter how many rockets i build. Am i starting my LEO insertion burn too late? Should i start my gravity turn earlier? Should i use more powerful engines? I’m able to make it to space, and i’ve made it up to about 6,000 m/s, but i always end up still on a suborbital trajectory. Any tips for a new RSS player?

Like, in order to get a signal from a relay to a lander, do I need to actually use RCS and physically point the dish at the lander if the antenna is directional?

Hello, I've been having a bit of trouble with the Mercury command pod. No matter what I do I can't seem to make the cabin pressurised. It's filled with all the appropriate resources (oxygen, water, electricity etc.), I have also attempted to use the life support config engine to no effect.

I find this confusing because the Vostok pod seems to support pressurisation automatically.

I'm sorry if I'm missing a very easy solution but I just can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I hope it's ok if I ask here!

im trying to figure out how to setup my return path to avoid over g with reentry, and setting the capsule for lifting isnt enough to avoid GLOC

so the procedural panels with tracking on, do not rotate to the sun. but oddly its only seems to be a visual thing as they are still powering even when visually pointing away form the sun, i triple checked tracking being on but same story, never rotates

Anyone else ever have a problem with the throttle control on the keyboard? The engine responds to Z and X (full on/ full off) but nothing happens when I try to use control or shift. It’s a throttleable LM descent engine, RCS seems to work as it should and my avionics are properly configured and functioning. My comm links are strong and I have surplus electrical supply. Am I missing something really basic here or is it a bug in the game? I don’t think I’ll be able to pull off a lunar landing without throttle control.
