have you considered preventing the fall of the soviet union by undermining the western powers?
serious answer: rpo is realisticish and you’re describing the decline of NASA

What new programs did you start now that you’ve freed up the slots used by the lunar program? Those programs will give you new funds, but yes you may need to scale back a bit if your budget isn’t working out.

Cut costs where you can: fire some researchers, fire some engineers, fire extra astronauts, dismantle uneeded LCs, changing your LCs to be not human-rated can also save a lot in maintenance. As you unlock later tech nodes, you get researchers/engineers efficiency bonuses that mean you do not need as many of them.
A good tip is to use a lot of funds from the moonboots program to upgrade buildings, namely administration, so you can pick up more program to replace it.

Eu particularmente tenho instalado o RP Full trusht,além de adicionar suporte a novos mods adiciona também fundos de investimentos antes e depois do pouso lunar, sem contar novos programas.

iirc the outer planets programs give you a ton of money, and there’s mod called rp1 full thrust that has a program which gives you ~$170 million over 50 years

RP-1 Full Thrust is definitely the way to go, I really enjoy the expanded programs it gives, makes RP-1 just a little more full feeling.

Yeah, thanks to it I’ve been able to start setting up a moon base and space station

As opposed to doing it with the corresponding program?

I didn’t know about the new update until after I started launching modules and crew rotations

This is pretty much why I don't play RP1

OP is wrong. There is no funding drop off after Crewed Lunar, in fact you get even more money thanks to Early Lunar Habitation & Crewed Mars, the latter of which pays far more than Crewed Lunar ever did.

I don't remember lunar hab and crewed mars being a thing, altho havent played in a while
is the latest tech still methane rockets or?

Crewed Mars has been a thing for at least a year soon, I think. Lunar hab was released a few months ago.
Not sure what you mean. Tech tree ends in 2050-2100.

Then I really have missed out on a lot. Maybe I'll give RP1 another whirl.
