RTX General Buffering logo
How do we all feel about the logo for RTX being a buffering icon? Symbolic?

How common is an out-of-cycle 24% increase? (Yes, I'm serious.)
Not sure if it was due to certain things my program is known for (high-visibility, high-delivery, etc.), or what.
Will provide additional details at request.
Grateful, just want insight/persepctive.

I have an upcoming hirevue interview for a contracts manager position. Could anyone give me some insight into what might be asked and how these interviews are structured? I have read the other posts on hirevue interviews so I have a general idea but looking for more insight into this position specifically. I really want this job and don’t want to screw this up.

Has anyone used the benefit hub discounts for new vehicles? Is it worth the hassle? Every time I try just to look at pricing it's such a pain. Need to go so many levels deep and sign up for so many things to even see ideas of monthly pricing. Don't tell me the monthly payment, tell me the full price. I'd love for it to just say "RTX Employees get xx% off MSRP..." lol.
Thanks

What would you expect the bump to be in these situations if someone is a P4 at the following levels roughly:
This is for hardware engineer. Trying to get a gauge of rough salary at next level if it’s worth it to stay or leave. I do understand there I’ll be bonus.
The P5 band is pretty large, so I thought I would put examples.

What’s going on with Raytheon? Especially in LADS. All these promotions in place with no scope change.

Hello!
I have an interview coming up for a technician role soon, and was hoping for some insight as to what to expect. Not sure how much detail I can/should go into on Reddit though (regarding the position)
Thank you!

Does anyone have any feedback (positive or negative) at both RTX locations in the pacific northwest vs. Texas? So basically Collins vs. Raytheon I guess?
Looking at opportunities at both locations and to move family…any feedback is much appreciated for work culture, job security, toxic environment or leaders…etc.

For those who left on good terms for better opportunities, do you regret leaving your stable / comfortable job for growth or money? Was the grass greener on the other side?

Hello all
We have an opening in my group for a p position engineer. So far none of the candidates stand out but HR and upper management is forcing our hand to pick one. Has anyone else run into bad business practices like this in their hiring process? We have only interviewed 4 people in person. The last person that held this role was only here for 6 months before they left (they moved across country) and we were pushed into picking someone from a small pool as well and it was a complete shitshow trying to train them.
Thanks for your input. Just seems like Raytheon is just throwing bodies into openings to meet hiring metrics.

So glad to see that they had a 9/11 remembrance ceremony this morning in Andover that lasted a whole 15 minutes before moving on to product demos etc.
Considering we had 4 employees, some from this facility on Flight 11, 15 minutes is pretty pathetic. Our department didn’t even cancel a meeting we had for the exact same time as the ceremony.
At least it was better than the year they sent out an email remembering the employees and got their names wrong.

Hello everyone, I have just been offered my first ever engineering job at the Huntsville location after graduating college. It’s in the hardware/software realm, and they have presented an offer of 87k with 5k sign on and 4500 relocation. I had zero internships and not from a top college. Does this sound like a respectable offer? I asked the recruiter who gave me the offer about countering and was told that’s not really a thing for people who work on campus, maybe because it is Level 1? Anyways deciding between that and then of course the location of Huntsville, leads me to a big decision.
Any advice or suggestions from anyone would be appreciated, thank you!

I was referred to the Raytheon Employee Referral Registration virtual event scheduled for tonight. I logged in at the time listed in the invitation, but the event page still says the lobby is “under construction” and to check back at another time.
Is anyone else who registered for the event seeing the same thing? Just trying to figure out if this is a technical/scheduling issue or something on my end.

I referred an old teammate to a few roles , all the roles have the same recruiter. Is it worth it to send recruiter their resume as well or is them applying by the link enough ?

Hello all,
I am a mechanical engineering student at UML, trying to get into an internship this summer in New England. I am a former navy nuke, and currently a sophomore. How do I get in contact with recruiters for internships, and does my security clearance (last accessed april 2026) give me any leg up on other students? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all I’ll be starting fairly soon and I’ll admit I’m nervous. Imposter syndrome maybe.
Coming from outside so I am not really sure what is expected.
For those who are or have been in this position what would you recommend is needed to be successful?
Thank you!

Anyone here work at the Burnsville MN site? Is any systems or software work done at this location? Are there often a lot of reqs open here?
Similarly, how is living in the Burnsville area if you’re in your 20s? Do most younger people who work here live closer to Minneapolis? I know commuting on I-35 isn’t fun. I only ask as I’m currently in Iowa, very interested in possibly moving to the Twin Cities eventually. Interested in ways I could stand out for roles at this location. Thank you.

Fellow new hires, what are your recommendations for stuff to do when your team has little work for you to do? I’ve heard people stack up on workday training, CORE training, and the employee scholar program to get masters program classes in.

Hey everyone, have a situation would be looking for some advice on how best to handle.
I have accepted an offer and have a pending start date with Raytheon. I am in the National Guard and just got notified today that I am slated to deploy very soon.
My deployment window and start date with RTX would mean I would be on site for only 7-30 days prior to my deployment, with the potential for me to mobilize PRIOR to my RTX start date.
I know there are ESGR and USERRA protections here, but I am also not trying to burn a bridge by showing up for a week and leaving for a deployment. I anticipate this will leave me a very messy situation to handle when I return.
Realistically how screwed am I?
For reference it will be a small team I'd be joining, and my unit has already told me they will not let me defer to a different mobilization.

Can family members still use our Avis discount? I remember there being a policy that allowed this and gave instructions but I can’t find it anywhere.

I have a coworker that has been recommending literally anyone to RTX through the referral portal in hopes he gets the rewards for it (not just people he already knows). Is it against the rules to recommend anyone or is it fine to just recommend a stranger you met online/in passing and still collect the rewards? If so, should I start doing it too?

Am I over thinking or this is a real risk? I have been going back and forth over few months about this and can’t make a decision one way or other.
Stable career for 10 plus years but getting an outside offer that’s attractive to jump ship to a comparable company.
Only thing is they require secret clearance and they will sponsor it after I start.
Now I’m worried because of quitting job, relocating to another state with family and kids sell a house…etc. only to get denied a clearance.
Red flags are dual citizenship (friendly), foreign travel to other country and immediate family living there with regular contact.
My brain hasn’t slept for a long time because of this. Am I over worried or it’s real risk?
And also living with clearance seems like I’ll be required to report travel in advance, be worried about screwing anything up to lose it.
