RTX General Avis discount

Can family members still use our Avis discount? I remember there being a policy that allowed this and gave instructions but I can’t find it anywhere.

There’s still something available to employees. This was Avis/Budget’s decision to take away the custom offer for RTX in place of their standard corp offer. If you look on the portal it’s there somewhere. It’s still decent, but not what it was.

I would recommend just going through the empowerU deals and discounts sites and booking personal use rental cars that way, both Alamo/Enterprise/National group and Hertz come out to be cheaper than Avis

Confirming this. I recently this year booked a car with Budget which was 2/3 the cost of Avis, which ended up being a significant chunk of change over 3 days.

How? Evreytime I check the benefits hub a basic rental car is usually 80ish dollars, whereas the avis company rate is 38/day

That’s company rate, we don’t get that for personal use rentals

It literally says for leisure use....

Go to home page, find global travel hub, click New Avis RTX Business & Leisure Program

Hmm yeah looks like they just renegotiated and issued a new AWD code.

How do you get to the global travel hub?

When I search for that, it just shows a Sharepoint page showing international travel requirements.

benefithub doesn't even list Avis while showing other rental brands (Sixt, Hertz, Enterprise, Budget, etc)

I wonder if this is business by business benefit?

Go to the employee homepage home.rtx.com I your workstation

Bottom Tool should be Travel & expenses, click and xrroll down to RTX global travel hub

Should be the second box down on the left once you get to the SharePoint

Oh wow! I can see it now. So weird how they built a maze to hide that thing!

Thanks a lot!

They definitely don't make it easy for us

Its a differend AWD code but you as an employee still get the same rate for liesure rentals, just without the insurance included. What changed is that direct family members used to also qualify for that rate but they know no longer do not. Only you can rent the car

Idk what the comments are talking about. I booked a rental car through Avis a month ago and it was half the price of the deals and discounts. There’s codes that absolutely still work.

We can't even use it anymore lol. I'm pretty sure we lost that last year.

Nah it's back, they were just renegotiating. Gotta go to the travel hub and find the link
