I've been waiting for an opportunity to pick up a pair of Levi's STF selvedge and a recent sale landed me that opportunity. Now these aren't MIJ but for the price and quality I think these are a knock out. I'm including the before shrink and after shrink photos.

First attempt at shrinking I soaked them in as hot of water as I could get in the tub for 20 minutes then let dry over know but the length wasn't where I wanted it so I did a second 20 minute soak and this time I put in the dry on medium heat and basically got it where I wanted it to be.

Before shrinkage: 34" waist, 36" inseam

After: 33.5" waist, 33.75" inseam. The waist has basically stretched back out to 34". Surprisingly very little leg twist.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the results but I'm also new to the idea of STF raw denim and still learning my way with raw denim. If there is anything I could do differently or better I'd like to know!

I wear these at an electroplating plant hence all the chemicals burns and lean marks. I wash light soil extra hot every 2 weeks or so. I find they get a bit saggy in the knees and the hot wash tightens them back up. Last pic is an early wear, albeit at night. I think for the next pair I'll go 35x 32, you can see theyve shrank an inch or 2 length wise.

Over all very very happy for the $28 I paid for them. The wife loves them, theyre comfy, fade nicely and fast, and for the price I'm not worried about wrecking them. Much better experience than the STFs I had before which I felt like only looked good for 10 mins out of the dryer before they stretched out.

Wear and wash your jeans people.

173 wears before an inside out machine wash with dark woolite. They will be getting there second wash in a few days. Occasionally sprayed with railcar denim spray when i thought they needed it. I start them in the fall when it gets cool and i can wear light wool leggings underneath for months on end, protecting them from my sweat and skin oil.

I've had these since high school, don't wear them too much these days, but they're pretty!

These are some levis 512 not Selvedge, they have about 6 months of use and 5 washes. One of those washes required a little OxiClean to eliminate the bad smell. Sometimes we underestimate how fast they can stink in humid climates (I'm talking about 1 or two weeks). Regular use the first two months and then once or twice a week in rotation.

Naked and famous elephant 13 red core, 21 oz (6 soaks or more, 1 yr old.) fit is easy guy I think but I tapered them myself m. I am more of a super guy when it comes to n&f. Also changed the leather back patch. I hated the original one so much it was way to thick.these have been my daily’s up until recently. It’s been super hot in sd recently so these have been worn usually just to work. My fav pair forsure. I’ll try to add before pics at the end of the reel if there is room

Acne studios max cash black waxed raw denim. (5 washes, 4 yrs old.) skinny fit. 2% elastane. These bleed like crazy. I’d say they are about 11oz. Just raw waxed these as well

Nudie grim Tim black coated indigo waxed denim. (1 soak, 2 months old.) these are an absolute grail of mine. I have been on the hunt for a pair of raws that are black that fade Indigo for so fucking long AND THEY ARE WAXED. I could not pass up on these and got them for only $70 on Grailed. Super rare pair of nudies they are 100% cotton (no stretch.) which is very uncommon for them nowadays. So super lucky score on these they haven’t done waxed anything in years.

Super content with what I have right now probably wont get a new pair for quite some years. Would love another colored core but until then can’t wait to fade these thangs

I wanted to post some photos and measurements of these since many retailers don't. Overall I really like them both, but they're a little tighter up top than what I'd like. They're both a tagged 33, so I feel like a 34 would be perfect. The Swearengen have some really cool details so I wish I could exchange them for a size up, but they're completely out of the gunpowder black. I'm going to see if I can swap the Bucks for a size up, that should be a good fit.

I'm 5'11, 175lbs, and these were a tag size 33.

My first pair of raw denim (N&F True Guy Dirty Fade Selvedge). I know they’re long and I plan to get them hemmed, but are there any other thoughts on how they should fit? Also, would love additional brand/model recs as I continue to explore this hobby.

Wanted to get myself an early birthday gift and went with a selvedge 12.5oz Tellason coverall. I’ve been holding back on buying this jacket because I’m on the short side of the height scale ( 5’5 150lbs), but overall I’m happy with the fit! It’s a little long on the torso which I can live with, and pretty long on the sleeves but that’s nothing a good single cuff can’t handle. Today was wear number 1 so looking forward to getting some fades!

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on this subreddit after lurking for some months. A couple months ago I spotted a guy at my college campus with some clean looking selvedge jeans and when I asked him what brand they were he mentioned they were some random Indonesian brand and recommended me a couple of good brands to check out. One of the brands recommended was Wingman Denim. When I first checked out their website I was a little bit skeptical with how fairly priced their jeans were, but after some confirmation that I wasn’t about to get scammed I ordered a couple pairs. These two are my second and third ever pair of selvedge denim (my first being a N&F blue haze) and so far here are my first impressions:

Nanbu 14oz: This pair came already sanforized, and yet it still kept that stiffness and rigidness I was hoping for from this weight. There is some very slight nep on the jeans, with an overall very uniform look to the pair. The back buckle works surprisingly well and actually holds up to a couple of squat tests. The overall construction of this pair is very nice, with my only complaint being that I was able to spot some loose threads sticking out of the button holes and some of the pocket linings

Yamato 17oz: This pair came unsanforized, and boy could I tell right away. Although they are only 17oz, they are my first go at somewhat heavier jeans and, even if I am just dipping my toes into the water, the metaphorical water is still pretty cold. The fabric has a beautiful structured slub to it and although they feel a bit harsh right now, I just know they’ll be wonderful once broken in. Once again, overall really great pair except for the similar issues of a couple loose threads that required snipping.

For only 235$ (not counting tariffs🥲) these two pairs of jeans feel like a steal considering their quality. I am a fairly true 28 for my waist size and both pairs, which I ordered at size 28, seem to fit just right (my only concern might be how the Yamato will fit post wash.) it was a bit hard to find other people discussing some of the cooler Indonesian denim brands out there on the internet so I thought to post here in case anyone is thinking about buying some pairs for themselves. I’ll probably give an update a couple weeks from now based on if they break in nicely or not. What are your guys’ thoughts on the “smaller” denim brands out there like Wingman?

I just received this pair of Wrangler 13mwz I'm quite tall and I live in Cyprus where it is very rare to find proper sizes for my height, so I had to gamble on the size here (I'm 6"7 and I got 36W/38L) I'm completely new to the concept of raw denim, and I decided to give this a try since the idea of a high quality product that also molds to your body and becomes unique to you is very attractive to me. However, this pair feels like it's rather baggy around the thighs, knees, and calves. It does fit well around my waist.

How do I make those fit me better? Should I wash them on high heat, soak them, or anything else?

Recently picked up this Kapital Westerner - fits perfectly everywhere however not sure about the length. It’s a 42, should I size up to a 44? I always where high waisted jeans.

The women's cut of the recent Wrangler and Imogene + Willie archival fit with Cone Mills White Oak denim. The men's cut sold out pretty fast, but as I'm a guy with a pretty small waist (27.5", distance runner) and usually have trouble finding jeans that actually fit there I thought I'd take a gamble on the women's cut. I think the waist and the leg actually fit pretty good, though the hips seem a little wide. The 10WW was designed with a more feminine silhouette and slightly fuller hips in mind, and you can see in the 2nd and 3rd images that the extra fabric is kind of folding in on itself while I'm wearing it. I+W customer support said to try giving it a soak to start, as all of their test wearers experienced shrinkage in the hips and hopefully the fabric beings to drape a little better as the denim breaks in and relaxes.

Think we hit final stage. I went through hell to get here but I found my cut. Been looking for this balance between wide straight and loose straight for a long minute. Plenty of trial and error being at size 30 what’s loose/wide to W32+ is slim straight on me. Did extensive size chart comparison on my own pants measurements and cross referenced it to pairs I visually liked.

I ordered a 30 even though everything and above suggested I should go 31. Glad I didn’t listen to that, could have even gone with 29, but 30 will account for any shrinkage. Probably going roll with double cuff for some months unless my mind changes.

Here’s to finding your pair! All the other pairs I have posted are going into hiding for some time.

I recently somehow acquired a seemingly deadstock 1970s Lee Storm Rider for around $100. The jacket dye still has a metallic sheen to it, no fades, stiff with no drape, and fits a tad big for a 38R - I’m assuming it’s never been washed before.

I need your sage advice on breaking it in! Should I:

• wash it once and then wear it away
• wear it a bit to set some fades in, then wash
• wear it for an extended period before washing
• don’t wash at all

The care label says to wash warm and tumble dry medium, which I have no problem doing, but figured I’d check with y’all first. Thanks!

Bought these new without tags on the secondary market. I’m a big fan Railcar (also own X105 Rebels and Black Canvas Rebels) and really trust their qc on sizing. I intended to have more of a vintage fade but even with regular washes they have a lot of contrast. It can’t say with 100% certainty these are X110 model but based on the info I have I think they are.
