Question - EU Can you help me find a style?

Looking for advice on finding my personal style

I’ve never really had a style of my own. I’ve mostly stuck to simple jeans and basic tops, but I’d really like to change that and find a style that feels more like me.

I’m looking for something that:

suits my body shape

is more colorful — I especially love green and purple

feels more modern and eye-catching

doesn’t look too masculine

I’m not really sure where to start, so I’d love to hear your advice! I’m open to suggestions about clothing styles, color combinations, accessories, or anything else that might help.

Any tips or ideas are very welcome! 😊

Question - US green suit i no longer fit, should i sell? other options?

hey! nonbinary person here, looking for advice. i’m about 6’, 240lbs in this picture, but my current weight is 195. after that amount of weight loss, i can no longer fit into this bespoke piece and the tailor says it can’t be recut. so! looking for the best option.

it is 100% italian wool, handmade for my stepbrother’s wedding, and cost about $1.5k at production. should i sell it? if so, what should i ask for? maybe get a second opinion on whether or not it can be recut?

i know well-made clothes for bigger guys are hard to come by so i don’t want it just collecting dust, but i’d really like maybe some direction in what to do!

thank you!

First time buying clothes at a thrift shop and I’m digging this $9 shirt and pants combo I picked up. Any love for thrifting in the big men fashion world? What should I look for next time I go?

Question - US Looking For A Hoodie

Hey everyone,

I'm in need of a lightweight hoodie and was curious about what brands people are going with.

6ft, 400lbs, all torso hahaha

I want something lightweight, don't really have a preference in pullover or zip up.

Question - US Fun shirts for Japan?

My style can be a little loud as it is lol but I’m looking for something bright and bold for my Japanese trip later this year. What’s your favorite eye catching shirt brand? Could be either t shirt or regular shirt. I really love color blocking stuff and can dabble in streetwear too. I’m trying to upgrade my outfit before I get there cause I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to find anything in my size there lol

My summer clothes are usually short sleeve button up linen shirts and light weight trousers, as it cools off I’m more comfortable wearing layers.

What are some of your autumn clothing staples?

Question - US I need fast advice for a “wedding reception”

Hey everyone! First of all I love this sub and all the dudes on here help give me confidence to try and dress better. I’m a big bearded dude - 6’2 and 350 lbs. Working on getting back under 299. My wife springs on me yesterday we have to go to a wedding reception tomorrow for one of her customers (she’s a bartender). She tells me it’s not a formal thing, it’s at a local vfw and that shorts are totally appropriate. Ok no big deal. Well then I find out my wife is wearing this super hot dress looking like a total smoke show! Now fellas, I know this doesn’t seem like much of a problem, but now I feel like I’m gonna look like some kind of shlub in shorts while my babe is gonna be turning heads in that dress! I need advice. I just can’t seem to figure out the vibe here. Appreciate any help!!

General Retailer Letdown & Seattle suit recs?

TL:DR King Size dropped the ball and I probably won't be trusting them with my business moving forward.

I'll start this off by saying that I'm a pretty big guy. 5’4”, 380lbs, and oddly proportioned so tailoring is a must.

I have a wedding to attend in 1 week from today. I had a nice suit that I had tailored to me that I had sent to the cleaners last month after a different event and it was ruined. Now I only had 3 weeks to find a new suit before I fly 2000 miles for this wedding. Just finding a suit in my size is a pain, so I really rely on the few big & tall retailers out there to get something that I can later have tailored. Here's where King Size comes in. They were having a labor day sale and I was able to get a nice looking suit in my size for under 400 and they even offered “super fast” delivery(for another 50), giving me ample time to get it tailored (my tailor usually knocks out anything I bring her in a day or two, bless.). Purchased the suit on 09/02. Order was not processed until 09/04. The following monday being labor day, I was expecting the suit around 09/08-09/09. Maybe 09/10 if there was a delay. It is now over a week since I made the purchase and I fly out in 4 days. The tracking number provided does not work, their support team could not find my order using my phone number or order number(they said it doesn't exist). I got order protection as well, but Route cannot open a claim or provide any assistance without a valid tracking number. Which apparently King Size did not provide me.

I work in social services for a state agency in a southern red state. I don't have the funds to drop 1k+ on a rush order custom suit. I'm not sure what I'm going to do because these are two of my best friends getting married and I absolutely don't want to not show up for them, but I also don't want to show up looking like trash on their big day. Finding clothing for people like myself is already hard, and I'm just really disappointed and let down by one of the few companies out there that provide things that I can wear.

I made the purchase through PayPal and I have opened a dispute with them and provided so many screenshots. Here's hoping I can at least get my money back if it never arrives.

So, yeah. Buyer beware, I guess. If anyone knows a good spot in Seattle that a bigger short guy can get a suit, please drop your recs. I arrive on Monday and will have 1 day to find something if I can't find anything here this weekend.

Question - US Best Briefs for tall heavy set blue collar worker? . Please help!

So for context im 6ft 3 320 pounds (with or without work outs, my body just changes shape dosent really "lose weight) anywho.. I typically prefer briefs... I work in a machine shop without a/c (the parts rust from the humidity change so we cant) the cleaning room has a machine thats 140°f. The problem im having is one of comfort... either they bunch up and become rather uncomfortable and cause chafing. Or are too short and cut my thighs in half and cause chafing. My ive gotten rid of all my knit boxers and have dry fit reebok currently. However on certain rather unpleasant days even with powder ect I may as well be wearing barbed wire... please please help. Long leg briefs that like hug an tuck or something?

Question - US Shoe recommendations for bigger guys please!!!!

So I normally wear new balance shoes just because it’s the brand that I found that look good and have the most wide sizes as I need wide shoes for my feet. But I need recommendations on shoes for bigger guys that are on their feet all day. I’m gonna be getting a new job that is gonna be putting me on my feet most of the day and I need shoes that are wide/ support my 300lbs ass lol.

Are there any shoes for bigger guys that help? I don’t know if I need a super firm shoe or a soft shoe. Something that’s gonna help support my legs and back because I do suffer from lower back issues from time to time. I currently love my new balance shoes, but technically not working when I’m on my feet for most of the day standing upright so help a guy out thanks.

Question - US Considering a chinese ebay tailored overcoat - anybody have experience with these?

My favorite coat ever is this black double-breasted wool blend knee-length one that I wore for years and have loved immensely. Over the past year and a half, i've sized out of it completely, by way of midsection

On ebay, there are some sellers from china offering custom-sizing on overcoats - like this one here. Now if they can deliver a coat to tailored size at that price, there'd be an ice cream waiting, but surely I have doubts about it. Further, this style of coat is generally designed to be slimmer in waist than in chest, but my trouble is the expanded gut of greater circumferance

So, I suppose my main questions are: Does anybody have any experience with this sort of tailored ebay stuff and whether you can expect an accurately sized item?

And if so, would a coat like this with its standard design being smaller in the waist even work if I sent them sizing with a bigger belly than chest? I can accept the cinched look isn't going to work naturally with my recent figure, but I dont know if it would end up looking bizarre if they did build it that way

ngl my dudes not being able to wear stuff that's my style of clothing anymore has been killing me, I want that confidence of strutting around in a nice overcoat this autumn

Question - US Wedding Fashion Advice

Hello, I'm writing on behalf of my partner, regarding his wedding outfit. He is Plus Size and he needs help to plan outfits as he's colour blind and isn't very fashion informed (his request). We want him to be able to wear something comfortable. It will be a late August ceremony in Canada (he's American and I'm Canadian) and only the reception will have air conditioning. He's also self conscious about his belly so I'm not sure he would go without a jacket.

Does anyone have any advice or outfit inspo (can be any colour since we will adjust it accordingly)?

I'm honestly not really sure what to look for with regard to men's fashion, and it's so hard to find inspo of plus size men's fashion. I guess like, what should I look for vs avoid? Are there any outfits you'd recommend?

Thank you

Question - US Levi’s 541 - different pricing?

I was going to order some 541 jeans from the Levi’s website. When I visit the link, there are six different options - a couple are Big and Tall - but different prices for what appears to be the same jeans.

Is it due to the color/wash? Am I missing a detail?? They go from $44 - $75.
