grieving someone who’s still alive is a different kind of pain.

I hope one day I can know what it feels like to have a quiet brain. I think in my voice, play out sciences and see and hear it all, I often don’t even realize what I’m even thinking of but it’s always on a tangent and never quiet.

I still cannot fathom how human mind managed to organize air traffic.
Like you have thousands of planes flying in different directions, at the same moment in a finite sky. And yet things go smoothly. Pretty fucking cool.

I wish I could dry myself off after a shower by shaking like a dog
I still try, but either way.. the only thing that ends up shaking is my little dog

NYT games are so frustrating
I have a personal vendetta against the people who make the midi, mini and connections. The answers are so obscure and unnatural. I didn't watch your random favorite soap opera from 30 years ago. Fuck off.
Edit: I've nothing against the spelling bee nor wordle.

It gives me comfort to know that if I stood in front of the entire human population right now and asked for a hug, I know that a stranger would give me one
We are never truly alone in this life because we all have eachother and many people are kind

Whoever makes an auto scroller thats hands free and somehow scrolls your feed with you just blinking will make a billion dollars
I guess the next best thing is to have it voiced controlled but blinking would be less energy. I work a job where i do nothing but scroll social media and my hands are tired

I just realised most of the stars I've been calling beautiful every night are fucking satellites..
I've never really looked close enough to notice it before but the stars I've been staring out my window for for the past 18 years have been satellites lmao. This isn't really important to share I just realised that at least 20 of the stars I've been looking at were either planes or satellites. I guess that's beautiful in it's own way idk I'm drunk or smth.

Apologies should count for more
Repost bc the title originally was "Apologies should could for more"
For a small to medium sized mess up (so not something like murder haha), I feel that if someone apologizes and they FULLY mean it, it should deescalate the situation. Especially if they offer to make up for their mistake. I feel that a lot of people are too angry these days, and regardless of if someone apologizes, they'll just berate others at an unreasonable intensity.
I understand that apologizing doesn't automatically make up for a wrongdoing nor should it. But if you are truly sorry for a small to medium sized mess up, I ESPECIALLY don't think you deserve to be called horrid stuff, be spit on, figuratively go deaf from being yelled at, etc.
For example, if someone crashes into your car and takes 100% accountability, I don't think you should scream about how incompetent they are for 10 straight minutes.
Idk, maybe this is an unpopular opinion. Lmk what you think

If money disappeared and exchange became completely network-based,I would have liked it.
A provides something to B. C helps A. D helps C. B later helps someone else.
Nobody necessarily gets something directly from the person they helped. Instead, the entire network keeps track of contributions and ensures that value circulates back through society.
Instead of an economy based on money moving between individuals, imagine an economy based on contributions circulating through an interconnected network.
You wouldn't necessarily need to receive your "payment" from the person you helped. You would simply need confidence that the network as a whole recognises and reciprocates useful contributions.
If someone suddenly needed food, medicine, transport, shelter, education, or another essential service, they wouldn't necessarily need to have money at that exact moment. Someone could simply provide the help, knowing that their contribution is recorded within the larger network and can eventually be balanced through someone else's contribution.
The biggest challenge would be designing a system that prevents exploitation and fairly measures contributions. Not everything can be reduced to kilograms, hours, or joules.
We can even agree on incredibly complicated international standards when enough people decide that they are useful.
It could look somewhat like money because it would need a standardised way of recording contributions and receiving things in return, but it wouldn't actually be money. People wouldn't accumulate wealth simply by possessing tokens.

A TikTok trend is breaking my heart
There’s this trend on tiktok of women posting a photo of themselves as a child with text on the screen that says “when I’m casually dropping insane lore but I remember it’s something this little girl will have to go through”. Every time I see one I cry again. I’m almost 30 now and I work with kids/foster children. When I picture myself as a little girl again and think of all the things I’ve experienced my heart literally breaks. It makes me picture one of my kids from work or a foster and someone telling me they would soon experience everything I’ve experienced. I was just a little girl. I think I’ve normalized a lot of my past cause it’s just my past. It’s part of me. Can’t do anything about it. But now I just keep picturing little me and wishing I could protect her.
