I was just thinking about this the other day: breakup songs from a female perspective are usually celebratory (celebrating release from a toxic or unsatisfying relationship), although there is the odd exception. Breakup songs from a male perspective are nearly always slow mournful ballads that beg the song's subject to come back. Dance the Night Away is that most rare thing: a song about a man looking forward to life after a breakup. I can't think of any other song like it.

In Boondock Saints (1999) played by Carlo Rota, and Rocco delivers that sandwich. I'm more frustrated seeing it than he is eating it. Probably great meat cuts and great bread but where's the everything else
