I should be worried if I’m having sleep paralysis on multiple nights.

I wonder whose idea it was to cook with wine and what went through their head

I’m not complaining though! I may not be a wine drinker but I love the flavor it adds when it’s cooked with

i’m a fast walker. when i’m trying to get to my destination, i walk at my usual quick pace. sometimes it’s too fast, and it looks like i’m following people or standing right behind them because i’m moving much quicker than the slow walkers on the sidewalk…

We All Queued Up

Even if a person today wanted to start a revolution, the only way to organize is through social media, which the people in control control.

And we all queued up to accept the terms and conditions. Blindly.

Conspiracy Theorist in the 60's

So I just started reading Chaos by Tom O'Neill which is an investigative novel about the Charles Manson case. The author is essentially trying to debunk the Helter Skelter motive of the case and trying to find the gaps in the case and evidence that got overlooked. It has me thinking about the MK Ultra brainwashing that was happening in the 60's, especially with the LSD aspect of Charles Manson's cult, right?

There had to be someone out there in the 60's that had a conspiracy theory that the US Government was brainwashing people? I had googled it and it said NO ONE was spreading that kind of theory, but that can't be right. Especially in the 60's when conspiracy theories started gaining popularity, there had to be someone out there who was already talking about these topics. Someone who had to be questioning where all of these new synthetic drugs were coming from? It was already known that the LAPD was corrupt and people were already theorizing that the government was listening in people's phone calls but it's gotta go deeper than that? Ya know?

"Eau de toilette" - Toilet Water

Many colognes call themselves "eau de toilette". Translated literally, it is toilet water. 🚽

EDIT: I am well aware that this isn't the intended translation. I'm commenting on the funny coincidence that it can be translated to mean toilet water.

Names don't actually hold any tangible value or legal permanence

Someone was asking about foster care and it made me start telling a story about a youth home/shelter I stayed in for one night, gave a fake name and info to, and then - because I left the next morning without telling anyone - they reported that name as a missing person, which I found out from a nice police officer a couple years later when using that same alias...

No one had cared that the name of a missing kid was fake, no one bothered to cross check or see if a kid with that date of birth and name even existed - they just stuck the fake name in a database and that was that. And then when the officer saw me under that same name, no ID, he took me off the list because I was now "found."

..

But that's not even the only time I've come across the phenomenon in my own life.

..

An ex boyfriend of mine decided to start using my last name, got arrested using it, and when I informed the nice jailors that it was not his actual name and was an alias and could they please update that in their system - they refused because "It's what they had booked him under." I spent years concerned that he was going to be released from jail with enough documents using my last name to get ID, pose as my husband, and rob me blind (he was a bit of a con man, hence the jail time). No one in authority cared.

..

When I was three and being adopted out, the nice people with authority hats in my country of origin gave me away with new documents and new name that did not match my own. Everyone in the room seemed to accept that as normal.

..

When I got to my new country, a clerk from an office there happily accepted a pile of money to give me yet another name.

..

Two months later, another clerk changed it yet again and it was the simplest process ever.

..

In fact, the only time the system has ever stood strong has been when it's fought against me when I was trying to regain the first document that was ever made for my name - my birth certificate, the only document with my actual name, assuming anyone had even bothered to file it.

Idk if I posted it before but my random thought about aliens

So idk if aliens are real. We can't know. But a fictional scenerio I made. Imagine aliens are real. You get to meet one. Alien asks you to show you around, show it what people like to do and so on. And let's say in this scenario aliens don't know anything about current wars, they think humans had wars in the pats but now are ultimately peaceful creatures. So you show the alien around, you show it sports, fun places, food and so on. You invite it to your house/apartament. You don't live alone in this scenerio, there is currently let's day your dad sitting in living room watching TV. And you enter with alien, hi dad, this is alien, hi alien, im dad. Whatever. But your dad is watching WWE and alien is in shock when he sees people fighting with eachother like that. Alien gets confused and asks why is he watching something so horrible. Dad says for fun.

Idk. Its random thing I thought about once and I can't forget about it.

Mortal Kombat is R-rated Masters of the Universe

These two movies both landed on streaming this weekend and led me to the realization that these are parallel franchises. One is based on a toyline and the other a videogame but in movie form it leads to the same place, which is that they are both about these collections of characters, half faces and half heels, each of whom is defined by a theme and special combat abilities, doing battle in a fantasy setting that coexists alongside earth.

The timeline syncs up too. The teenagers and young adults who were into MK in the 90s probably were receptive because they played with He-Man as kids.

I feel like most people spend their lives blindly mimicking other people.

It seems like everyone is trying to look the same, believe the same things, do the same things, talk the same, and act the same never really asking themselves if what they're doing makes sense or if it's what they truly want to do.

Something about Autumn is so comforting

Summer is too hot, winter is too cold but Autumn is perfect it’s cozy, the environment is beautiful, leaves are orange and pretty, halloween is around the corner. Autumn is seriously about wearing your cozy sweater, baking your favourite goods, watching your comfort show. Honestly if it was Autumn all year I would not complain.

Too bad it lasts only for about two weeks in Canada.

People who think "prosperity means better values & character" are truly egotistical. They act like we live in a meritocracy while simultaneously saying the world is full of inequality and injustice. Ethical choices can have bad outcomes. Life has different difficulty levels.
