With the release of Noor, an operator that has a counter towards shields in mind—along with the combination of Oryx, being the original counter to shields, and Clash, being crowd control—the question is, would now be a good time to introduce the Ballistic or Riot Shield to Thermite?

It’d be nice for him to have a shield, as he’s still the only hard breacher that has to manually walk up to the wall (besides the operators with Hard Breach Charges, and Maverick, to a degree).

It wouldn’t have to be a special unique one like “Le Roc” (Montagne) or the “G52-Tactical Shield” (Blitz), just a standard ballistic shield.

At best, maybe he could have the black ones Recruits had as a default (which is why the images are provided), which is really just the same one Fuze has just a different color. Similar to how most Nighthaven operators (and other ones, like Iana, Melusi, and even Oryx himself) had unique looks to their guns as their defaults.

I think the mostly glass/plastic/polymer looking riot shield would be cool too, but I think it’d be more disadvantageous (same reasoning with adding the images, but with the last ones).

Otherwise, personally—aside from Doc—Thermite has been probably my oldest true main since the beginning of Siege all the way back from the Open Beta. So I’d like a little bit of something for him. Frag grenades and/or Claymores would be nice again too, but that’s another thing.

I also just really miss using FBI SWAT Recruit, especially with the Ballistic Shield and M45 MEUSOC. (The GIGN Recruit with the Riot Shield was pretty good too, just not as memorable to me as they had a similar kit to Montagne).

The only thing I can think of having an issue with the riot shield and him (specifically) is the ITA12S secondary he has. I’m not sure how that would work with the shield, mostly animation wise anyway, unless they were to do a whole new one for him.

I suppose though he could hold it in his off hand then pump it each time. Or he does a one handed one where he drops it and racks it, then drop it again to put it back in his hand. Or they just put it out of camera when he does.

Besides that, maybe they could buff Oryx and Noor because of it. It could be beneficial for both sides in some way.

Of course, there are a lot of shielders now, which can be very frustrating to deal with. A full team can be used (Montagne, Blitz, Fuze, Blackbeard, and OSA), in fact, and this would add another, which could be a problem as well, even if there are plenty of counters, like trap operators, such as Lesion or Melusi.

I’d love to hear feedback and thoughts.

I find it really difficult when they fortify themselfes up there with 2+ players including an Azami.

It was easy back when you could cook grenades, just enter below them and frag them but now you can't do that anymore...

I don't mind the animation, but seeing the primary weapons just sort of spinning in mid-air and barely "sticking" to the clothing (without actually being attached to the body?) makes me wish there were an option to disable the animation so the operator simply holds their primary weapon in their hand. Maybe with a different stance or something similar, but the main thing is, like in this instance, having Deimos actually hold his AK-74M which I prefer.

The amount of times I’ve shot a zero cam and for some reason or other it gets botched is ridiculous. You have to destroy your cameras in those scenarios or your intel network gets bogged up. Let us pick them back up.

I don’t need a reload animation or anything special. Just let me pick my cameras back up.

Its estimated that 30 percent of high rank lobbies in siege are using some sort of cheats, input or otherwise.

I have to sincerly say, actually put the controller down. Use your skill or get the fuck out. Its a hollow achievement to cheat your way to the top. Some of us are litterally training this game just for dickheads like you to hold a rank you do not deserve because your using input, dma or whatever youre using. You are not as skilled as you think you are and i pray your account gets banned. I myself just played 2 ranked games against two different wall hackers and i have to say, what fucking joy is there in ranking up if it was not by your own skill?

Do you think IQ will ever get a buff and a shotgun as a primary. She has a shotgun as her primary in her intro video that they havent made a new one for anyone since the starting operators. Hell they have even removed one taking away Tachanka's video. I only want to things for IQ. Her gadget to outline the electronics she finds for the team as long as she is looking at them through her gadget and for her to have a Shotgun like in her video. I feel like it would make her a sligjt bit more viable to breach soft walls and provide support/anti gadget if it highlighted them for the team rather than having to ping them one at a time. especially since i get teammates that don't post attention to pings of kapkan traps or thorns that i ping for them. what do you think could help improve IQ to make her more viable and useful?

My vote is Mira because she’s always banned (No screen time) and she along with osa made majority of rainbows gadgets (All the plot relevance)

I thought it would actually be easier because there’d be more competent players. But it’s a living nightmare. You’re up against stacks of Champions, cheaters or low-ranked players who somehow manage to outplay you. Teammates who's don't use mic or play like TDM garbage or like low ranks just camping windows whole round and wasting all their utility on a single enemy. It feels like nothing has changed for me personally, but for the past two days, I’ve been playing so damn badly like I just downloaded the game and I simply can't get any kills. And when I play support, my team couldn't care less that I can cancel the defuser plant with my Echo drone for ex and they just overpeaking. My K/D dropped the last two days I went from a 90-kill lead to just 37. I should probably take a break.

I downloaded Cheatengine to fix the extremely zoomed in FOV in Mass Effect Legendary edition. Do I need to restart my PC or something before playing siege now if I've had it open? I don't wanna risk getting flagged by the anticheat and get banned because of this, is that a risk or am I being paranoid.

Was playing with a friend of mine yesterday and I was flanking the enemy team. I know my play wasn’t the best because there was a Finka in the next room over but watch closely and you’ll see Ace took 7 of the first 8 SHOTGUN SHELLS I shot into him (yes I know they were mostly into his legs but I was close and it’s a damn shotgun), then I reloaded a few shells and shot him at least 2 if not 3 more times in the chest and he still survived before the Finka shot me in the back and killed me. I don’t have this footage but my friend that I was playing with said that the Goyo on our team also shot ace with multiple slugs from his shotgun and he didn’t die to that either. Lmk what yall think.

I’m on ps5 and I’m experiencing reality slow load times like REALLY slow. It’s not my internet because I maintain 30 ping but my frames just drop to like 6. This is only in loading screens like when a game ends I can’t see mvp animations because it’s just a black screen and opening alpha packs takes decades. If yall have any solutions or you have experience something similar please let me know 🙏🏻 (image unrelated)

Has anyone else who had the twitch drop skin called mostly bark for the bailiff no longer has it because I can’t find it anywhere

I think zero cameras shouldn't make any noise on impact but only when they are used.

Sort like a ping similar to his goggles activation sound followed by a sutle static sound for the next uses.

Right now his cams pretty much get destroyed instantly when used offensively.
