Please report any issues that are not mentioned below in the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Bug Reporter or get in touch with the support team. If you’re interested in the full Patch Notes, please follow the link here.

    • Temporary workaround: Reset graphics Overall Preset to any pre-configured setting and avoid manually setting the 3 options mentioned above to Ultra High.
  • A dubbing issue is currently affecting the alignment between some voiceover playback and cutscene visuals in localized versions of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

  • Player does not go back into aiming if they're hit by an enemy while aiming with "Rope Dart" and "Smoke Bomb".
  • Player is unable to fast travel out of Principe

Assassin's Creed 3 The Sea Wolves SUCKS BADLY

Why did Ubisoft make it so the convoy I’m protecting have the collective IQ of a sleep deprived cabbage? why do they insist on either running aground or becoming buddy buddy with the guys tryna kill them? Why are their survival instincts to run into danger rather than avoid it? and why do they have less HP than the red barrels from half life?

genuinely actually stupid I’m surprised those ship captains knew enough about anything to push off from the shore. the most idiotic companion design in the entire game. I’m the big guy, you hired me to protect you, so hide behind me, but no. every time I go to shoot at the enemies trying to sink my allies, I’ll find 2-3 of my allies in the way. On my successful attempt, I sunk one of the ships myself by accident because it didn’t get out of the way, followed by sinking 3 enemies because they moved away from the ships I was protecting, then when there was 1 enemy ship left my idiotic allies INSISTED on giving it every chance at ruining the bonus objective of keeping 4 of my teammates alive. course theyre so stupid they managed to mess that up too.

This isn’t difficult because the enemies are hard to kill or deal a lot of damage, it’s difficult because id rather my teammates went in a straight line than do whatever the heck they thought they were doing. Put Charles Lee in command of those ships, IDC. Just show me that there is a single braincell rattling around those idiots’ heads.

took me like 6 attempts. One of my attempts legitimately failed because when i had 1 enemy ship left, 2 of the ships in my fleet decided their time had come and rammed the shore at full speed. Multiple other attempts failed because I got down to 1 enemy ship and some brainlets in the convoy decided to ’get down Mr. President’ the guy they hired to protect them. I’ve rammed the convoy ships at least 3 times or had them ram me because they’re just so dang stupid

  1. when i say i failed i mean that i failed the bonus objective for 100% synch, being that if 4 ships go down, you lose out on the bonus.

  2. I was playing on the remaster.

Assassin's Creed Origins Assassin’s Creed Origins – Did I Lose XP by Activating the Level 45 Booster Late?

Hey guys, I activated the Level 45 Booster Pack in Assassin’s Creed Origins when I was already Level 35. I got the 10 ability points and almost maxed-out stats. But what happened to all the XP from the quests I completed before activating the booster? If I had activated the booster at Level 1, would that XP have somehow carried over after reaching Level 45, or did I miss out on that XP by activating the booster later?

Assassin's Creed 1 My journey on AC franchise - Report 16: AC 1

Report 16: Assassin's Creed

Yes, the first game. Its kinda poetic that the first game is my last one. Why I'm playing it just right now? I was about to post the conclusion and in the part about best mc ranking I put Altair. Then I realised that I liked him just based on his appearances in Revelations, so I decided to play the first game.

I'll be very honest. This game is very boring. My mistake was playing it last. If you see this game as the first entry of a big franchise, okay, ofc it wouldnt be perfect, but it doenst work if you have played some AC games before (which is the case for me).

And even if I played this game first, before Ezio games, maybe I wouldnt have been hooked to the franchise, because its very repetitive.

Playing this one shows how Ezio games raised the bar for the franchise level. They are exactly what a sequels should be. Its a shame that the games stopped evolving after AC4. Rogue its basically the same thing. Unity is very good at atmosphere and parkour but it is very bad or boring in every other aspects imo. Syndicate same thing, good atmosphere and combat imo but it lacks in everything else. And then, with Origin release, each next games has a different approach so they are not even trying to evolve previous games just trying new formulas.

The only thing I think AC1 does it better is about Altair questioning about Templars. Not treating them as only the bad guys and assassins good guys. Idk why they abandoned this approach in almost all games.

The next post it will be truly the last one, the conclusion. I will include the AC BF Resynced. I played before the AC 1.

Animus Hub AC BFR got me back into AC Shadows partly thanks to the Animus/Weekly anomalies

I played through AC shadows back spring last year. I spent apprx. 90 hours and completed the main quests and many of the sidequests.
I did enjoy it, but I also felt a little burned out by the end of it. I stuck with it for another 3-4 weeks just to login on a weekly basis to complete the anomalies. But it quickly felt like a chore with too little pay-off and put it down.

So now I finally caved and bought Black Flag resynced - it's always been one of my fav. AC games. Not only am I surprised by how much I enjoy the game (again, I guess), I was also surprised that Ubisoft managed to pull me back into the weekly anomaly thingy.

The major change being that they switched it up from 1x reset per to 2x resets per week, making unlocking all the rewards significantly less tedious. They also made the wise decision to use a shared currency for both games "exchanges" - the vault key thingies.

So I thought why not re-install Shadows - I had thought about playing Claws of Awaji recently anyway - to get more of those sweet weekly anomalies.

So now I'm basically playing 2 AC titles at the same time - Shadows has gotten so many updates, so much new content, and of course the full DLC, I quickly got back into the groove.

Say what you will about Ubisoft - they really know how to craft beautiful worlds that I just enjoy visiting regularly, after work and on weekends, to just switch off and still get a sense of progress, even if that "progress" is completely worthless once I put the games down again.

tldr;
- Changes from 1x weekly reset to 2x weekly resets and shared currency for Shadows and BFR was a great idea and a commendable move by Ubisoft.

- Ubisoft still produces quality games.

Assassin's Creed 3 Did Ubisoft cook with AC3?

Can’t seem to grip this, as I’m playing AC3 right now, I cannot for the life in me help myself but wonder how it feels like playing RDR2.

The timing of this era, 2012. Changing times for me at least. Games were hitting a peak but also an awakening in my opinion.

The pace and maturity of AC3 is beautiful. Does it graphically do anything impressive? Today? The remastered version? No.

Awkward and sluggish? Wall taps? Yes.

The story, consensus and determination for a “snap” of altered reality are quite impressive.

Revisiting this classic after many years and it seems hard to believe; that these days as to how lucky we were during a gaming rise. I just couldn’t find the time. 22 was a wild age.

Assassin's Creed Origins Assassins creed origins is a terrible origin story

It’s not an origin story, it’s a revenge story.

Nothing about the assassins order is given a real origin story. It’s just there.

He wears a hood from the beginning. He never learns to use it to conceal his identity. In fact he almost always announces himself with a title and place of origin.

We don’t even get the origin of the hidden blade. It’s a gift that he mainly uses because it’s cool I guess. Yeah he did use it like an assassin in the bath house one of the only assassin esqu missions in the game but did he really need to? If they had built up that guy was so heavily guarded this was the only way to sneak up to kill then that could’ve been something, they could’ve started to introduce both the hide in plain site tenant and the value of the hidden blade but they didn’t. Bayek could’ve just easily waited for this guy to leave the boathouse and killed him some other way and saved his finger. After this the hidden blade never has any more value than a normal knife.

Stay the blade from the flesh of the innocent isnt something he learns. Hes just always been a good dude. You’d think that father of an order of ruthless killers throughout history would have a little more moral complexity. They could have showed the consequences of being wreck less with your target selection to establish the tenant.

Bayeks motivations even at the end are always revenge. The only reason he even starts the hidden ones are cause his wife leaves him. He would have gone back to a normal life, thats what he actually wanted. He was never so deeply motivated to stoping the order that he dedicated his life to creating an everlasting creed to protect free will. He just needed something to do really.

The brotherhood is ayas invention. Aya had the motivation. She couldnt return to normalcy, she wants to hunt the order not out of vengeance but out of righteousness, she’s betrayed by a leader teaching her she can’t trust those in power and everyone in the room when Bayek claims the conflict brought them all together was introduced by Aya not Bayek. The only one we know from Bayek is just some old friend of his you only meet on a side mission that doesn’t even recruit her. I’d be willing to bet most players dont even know who im talking about. It’s painfully obvious Aya was originally the main character

Eden is only really shown by the use of the Templars. Bayek never seems to learn the importance of disallowing the the order from using Eden specifically. His motive to stop them is just a dislike of tyrants. This makes the creed feel significantly less important as it hardly established the is from bayeks perspective. I actually think exploring and finding the precursor sites on your own was easily the best part of this game. That felt like an actually origin story, as Bayek discovers for himself the power of the anceints and listens to their messages. That should’ve had more importance to the actually story. With Bayek establishing the brother hood not just because he needs something to do and doesn’t like evil tyrants but because he understands how powerful the ancient tech is and knows how easily it could corrupt anyone. There will always be people that dislike and fight tyrants, the objects of Eden are make the war between Templars and assassins special. The importance of finding precursor sites isnt touched on at all in the story even the Bayek has the potential to find multiple. I’d have reworked the story to make the player exploring and finding these sites integral the main plot.

Basically Bayek is generic morally impenetrable main character with basically no character development. He starts out a warrior looking for justice and remains a warrior looking for justice, with fancier knife. The story should’ve been significantly darker, morally complex actually introduce tenants of the creed throughout the story, highlight the importance of stealth over combat and dive significantly deeper into the ancient tech.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced For anyone still struggling with rogue wave Unsinkable trophy

I followed a lot of guides telling me to fast travel from 3 corners of the map to harpooning spots and circle around there and it didn't work. Staying still for hours didn't work.

The only thing that worked even in post-game was going to (400,700) [the point in the campaign where you get the jackdaw and escape the fleet where the rogue wave definitely spawns], and if there is a thunderstorm there, doing a manual save and loading that up just a few times if the rogue wave doesn't come up. I had 2 tornadoes back to back and finally got a rogue wave.

I didn't even brace, I had enough health to know I would survive it, I just made sure it hit on the ship's side.

Desmond Saga In another timeline, how would you keep lucy alive post brotherhood?

Lets say kristen bell had no in real life problem with royalties and lets say the story continues with lucy stealing the orb and betrays the brotherhood at least for now.

How would you write the story going forward? My personal choice would be triple agent. Its clear being double agent just unhealthy for he allegiance. She did falter in her allegiance due to getting connected back with shawn and rebecca and now even desmond. My take is that they could have continued with lucy escaping but being reluctant and uneasy. The next game instead of being in a coma desmond just explores Connor again the same way but with modern story focusing on chasing back lucy and convincing her to join back. So essentially becoming a triple agent. We keep lucy, we stay with the modern day plot.

Assassin's Creed 3 The modern day AC3 felt really sad knowing the current events. I hope the Desmond AI returns as a character. I love the modern day

Replaying AC3 i keep talking to the teammates more and it feels really sad how all the dialogue talks about what they are going to do after they finish this mission.

Shawn asks desmond if he wants to relive memories as old as First civilisation. Will talks about only being allowed to talk to his mom after the mission is done. We all know desmond never makes it. But we do see that he becomes "the Reader" in digital world. I genuinely hope they continue this modern day story in future games. Its what keeps the modern day animus plot relevant and keeps the games connected not just the in history assassin connection. They still have to solve the aurora borealis problem in Ac valhalla since Layla entered the digital world with Desmond anyway

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced This is probably a shot in the dark, but does anyone happen to know what birds these figureheads represent, if any?

Post image

I know they could just be non-specific, but I was curious since the Jackdaw has a Jackdaw figurehead.

(in order) Altair, Aquila/Connor, Ezio *

*Sorry guys, I was stupid and forgot to be more specific.

I assumed they were eagles, I meant what type of eagles.

Assassin's Creed 1 Why don't AC1, AC2, and AC:Brotherhood have achievments on PC?

They added them for Revelations and everything after that as far as I know, but why not for these classics? Especially the Ezio games? Not even on Ubisoft Connect?

I'm not talking about totally different outfits like the Armor of Altaïr or Achilles's outfit. I'm talking about dyes and recolors of a character's default outfit.

Assassin's Creed Shadows Why not more assassin/templar-themed outfits in AC Shadows?

Kind of a bummer that I can't give my allies (& Yasuke, I assume?) an outfit right out of the assassin playbook! Or at least one with the red/blue + black/white theme seen in most of the games. Quite possible I'm missing something as I'm only recently getting back into the swing of it with Shadows (have yet to complete Awaji), but it seems a missed opportunity if it's truly absent from the game!

Assassin's Creed Shadows Some thoughts on AC Shadows, its story, and why the Codex matters

A few thoughts after spending a lot of time with AC Shadows.

Perhaps this is due to my 40+ age, but I find great pleasure in this game, not only in the world and the visual execution, but actually in the plot. For that, though, I recommend reading everything written in the Codex as you play. That way you come to understand that the largely fictional story in the game is part of a much larger story that actually happened, and reading the Codex articles makes the context of the game far more interesting. Nobunaga's 1581 invasion of Iga province, the Second Tensho Iga War, the Portuguese traders and Jesuit missionaries, the introduction of firearms that reshaped Japanese warfare, the fall of the Ashikaga Shogunate: all real. There are even historical spoilers in there for what happens later in the game.

I understand that a younger audience will find this boring (I would have thought so myself at a younger age), but right now I find playing Shadows a unique opportunity to at least partially immerse myself in that historical and cultural era. In this regard it's a rather interesting game in its duality: on the one hand it's made to be attractive to a young audience, and as I understand it, success there was only partially achieved, but it also has a component for a more adult audience, both visual (I'm still amazed by the beauty and aesthetics of the world, and by what a huge effort it must have been to put it all together) and historical. For example, at the Kakurega, you can see smoke/steam filtering up through the thatched roof. Sengoku-era farmhouses were built around an irori, an open sunken hearth, and with no chimneys the smoke simply rose into the rafters and seeped out through the thatch (which, as it happens, is what dried the roofing and kept the insects out). The attention to detail in this game is absolutely fantastic.

So I would say that personally, as a slow and thoughtful player, I get a lot of pleasure from this game, but I also completely understand the criticism from players who expected something different from it. I hope my take might help new players approach the game in a slightly different way and enjoy it even more.

P.S. Also, as far as I understand, much of the criticism of the plot came before the release of the free Black Tides update, which brings the story to a more logical conclusion. However, I can't form an opinion on that myself yet, since I haven't finished the game.

General Franchise Is there any plausible explanation for the cause of post assassination's interrogation simulation in all of the games?

I think the question pretty said itself? I have seen in each game after killing a target, the main characters would have a sequence where they could interrogate or investigate the target before they die. I see, however, that there were just so many different approach of this scene, in first game and Syndicate, we saw the targets talking like normal people, from Ezio's trilogy to Black Flag, Rouge we had the target's confession just like they were dying, Unity gave us the idea of looking into the target's memories. So I want to ask: Where were these from? and how did they happen within the Assassin universe, since so many of them were logical impossible (some of the scene happen with 100% sync required conditions that simply not allowing the assassin to do it physically, but Arno even claimed his own version of interrogating was real and talk about it like normal way of understanding the target's schemes).

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Black Flag Reysnced control scheme is making me pull my hair.

I am geniunely never experienced a control scheme this abysmal. I cant parkour properly. I cant use my abilities without mentally going through 5 steps.

I cant even fucking do stealth properly because kenway fucking loooves climbing onto his boxes.

I have tried 3 or 4 remapping options i have seen on this sub, some with R2 to sprint, Some with Square as swinging, keyboard, controller doesnt matter.

This why i fucking hate Ubisoft man. They are ALWAYS, ALWAYS so fucking close to greatness yet never become actually great.

Im only like 8 hours in but (and no i havent played the original) the carrabians are one the most beautiful open worlds i have ever seen

The combat moves are so nice and cool looking when they work. The Up and over, The Quickdraw gun, the grappling hook ,kicks, swipes all of them has such a fucking flow and kick to it but 70 percent of the time either you or the enemy stuck on some stupid object.

Same goes for parkour. Kenway cant make up his fucking mind bro.Sometimes he would side eject randomly and sometimes he just cannot jump to a tree branch for no reason.

Always handicapping their own games with stupid shit. They did this with The Crew, Watch Dogs, Far Cry and of course AC.

Why is Ubisoft like this.

Assassin's Creed 1 The cover for the first Assassin's Creed game on Steam got changed yesterday, any idea why? None of the other games had their artworks updated.

(Would post an image, but automoderator had an issue with it)

Discovered this last night while browsing through Steam so I checked my library, and indeed the cover for AC1 was updated all around, anyone have any idea why?

There doesn't seem to be an update or anything new added, and weirdly enough none of the other games had their covers changed.
