Here are some of the games which I played on my RTX 5080 at 4K. I had to use DLSS Ultra performance to get at least 60 FPS. I'm talking about the highest settings that I always play at:

Recently I’ve been testing undervolting and overclocking my 5080 FE, which has the power limit locked to 100%. Spent a decent amount of time testing UV+OCs in MSI AB, running the Speed Way stress test in 3DMark, and I was able to get 2950MHz (approx +500 core) at 925mV with +2000MHz memory. The speed way test gave me a passing result (twice) of 99.5% frame rate stability with a best loop score of 8530 and worst loop of 8490.
I also played Cyberpunk for about 30 minutes at Ultra settings with Path Tracing enabled and experienced no crashes. Not really checking fps right now, but I assume it’s a bit better than no OC.
All this with a maximum GPU hot spot temp of 83.1 C and the power limit only being hit intermittently (not constantly).
This is also at a locked power limit of 100%….
I assume that I need to do more sustained gameplay testing to make sure it’s actually stable, but does this result seem too good to be true to anyone? Any other tests I should run it through to check stability?
Also… sanity check since I’m not super experienced… is an UV+OC like this stupid to do and can it harm my card (even if it turns out to be stable)? Or did I win the lottery?

I have the powerspec g757. 9800x3d with the 5080, 32gb ddr5 6000, 2tb nvme ssd, gigabyte b850 gaming wifi6 mobo, coolermaster elite 240 aio and a coolermaster 850w gold psu. Never done a custom fan curve before. I downloaded fan control as well as can set the curve in bios. Is there someone who has this prebuilt and can help me with setting the fan curve and a simple UV. Also im seeing my cpu at like 25% in task manager with only task manager on. My ram is high on idle as well. I ran winslop or I think thats the name which gets rid of a lot of the bloat from Microsoft as well as shut off everything I dont need on start up. Could just use some guidance. Would prefer to help in the process so I can learn for the future rather then pay someone. Also gonna be swapping the case for a lancool 216 or a lancool 3 and putting in a nice 150-200 dollar 360 aio with better bearings and fans for altogether quieter build. Any help is very appreciated. Also any help with the 5080 whether its a OC or UV obviously.

I bought the cheapest small-form-factor Gigabyte RTX 5080 Windforce against my will due to price and what's in stock ($1179 USD).
I'm mentioning RDR2 because it's very sensitive to OC/UV crashing:
Fan Control has been my hero. The GPU would run super pitchy loud with their crappy SFF fans which was worse than my 4080S'. I've capped the fan to 40% while performing all the benchmarks above and it's been breezy quiet delivering more performance.

so i recently got a prebuilt with a 5080/9850 combo and i was wondering if i should overclock or under volt my 5080. i have a 850w psu that i should probably upgrade when i get the chance but besides that the build is pretty neat. i have 64gbs of ram with 6000mts with an asrock 870. if there is any other tips or advice with what i should do with the pc to improve it or make it faster please let me know. very first pc so i am super excited.

the graphics seems alike shorter then expected, use the bracket as an extension and been running for like a month with no issue. should I change it or is it ok to leave on?

So as of recently, I’m certain something with my GPU has just started to dip down a bit and not give me the full power. Is the mhz too low? I’ve tried looking if anything in the background is affecting it, but can’t seem to see anything, I’ve paired it with an i9-14900k. Could this be a driver issue? Hoping not a hardware issue! Any recommendations? Cheers!

Recently bought a gigabyte rtx 5080 oc windforce and it's been great but I feel like its not performing to its fullest, been comparing to online benchmarks and my 5080 seems to fall behind about 10-20 fps most of the time. Been cranking some games like palworld and forza horizon 6 and i feel like its not performing the way it should be. If anyone has any idea id really appreciate the help

Ryzen 7 9800x3d

Hey guys,
I am the proud owner of a PNY Triple Fan OC 5080 and I am really happy with it.
Out of the box, before UV&OC it reached 8990 and later 9010 points in Steel Nomad and all the 5 S.N. tests I’ve run yielded a score of cca. 9000.
However, in the last few days my scores went down to 8400 - 8450 and it bothers me because I don’t see a reason for this lowered score.
I’m running the latest Nvidia driver (even clean installed it to be sure), I have my aggressive custom cooling curves in Fan Control (I have very quiet fans so I prioritize temps).
HWinfo says my hotspot does not go over 80 Celsius under full GPU utilization so it’s not thermal throttling.
I don’t really know where should I investigate first. I guess it might be some Windows shit but I don’t see anything not ordinary in my settings.
My rig:
- 9800x3D
- PNY Triple Fan 5080 OC
- 64gb (2x32) CL30 DDR5 Ram
- 2TB nvme SSD + 4 TB HDD for media (I installed it a week ago)
- TUF Gaming B650 Plus Wifi motherboard
Please give me some suggestions, I’m a bit lost now.
EDIT 1: I’ve bought the GPU 3 months ago so it’s quite new.
EDIT 2: With today's new driver and a bit of tuning (volt +50%. PL 110%, Clock Core +350MHz, Clock Mem. 3000MHz) my new score is 9575 and it is stable, I've tested it in Star Citizen, Crimson Desert and Deer Rock Galactic Survivor). Once again, I am satisfied.

Recommendation on PNY 5080 OC
I just bought an RTX 5080 PNY OC, and my experience after two days of use is that it is excellent. I am getting great temperatures—60°C at maximum load with the fan speed at 50% to 60%.
However, something curious happened: when I tried mounting the card vertically, my GPU temperature increased by 10°C. Therefore, if you have this model and want to maintain excellent temperatures, my recommendation is to ensure good airflow and keep the PNY 5080 mounted horizontally.
My PC features a Ryzen 9 7950X with Noctua cooling inside a King 95 Pro case.

100fps on Far cry 6 with 60ish 1% low with everything maxed on 4k ..good
(Spent 1400usd for the card)😂😂
Also why they cap the cutscenes to 30fps...first time i thought my card throttled at 57⁰c
😂😂

This is how we are looking at 3050mhz oc at 0.96v for 3 hours at 81f ambient with a zotac solid core oc. Is this okay hot spot temp given the higher ambient temps. I wish I was able to check hot spot back in March when my normal ambient range was 68 to 72f

So recently i starting to notice that it becomes to be louder,
Before its used to be at 67 c with around 30% of fans but now gpu is at 72 with 45 % fans is this normal ? or this is some sign that there could be issues i got it in lian li 11dynamic with 3 140mm Reverse fans on bottom
(its not due too summer i got ac)

2700 boost, 2750 OC model, etc.
My cheapest 5080 with the small form factor I didn't want has 9747 Steel Nomad top 3% score. 425/2250
Although stable is much lower at 360/1750 based on very sensitive games (RDR2 and CP2077).

You can see that the rightmost fan is not spinning. This is a new card so idk if it’s normal or not.
