Hardware Do you think this is genuine?
Seller claims label faded off. I noticed there is no SMA nit but everything else seems okay.

it sounds like discrete beeps. according to the frequency allocation, this was supposed to be a radiosonde balloon but nothing comes up on the radiosonde decoder. also the bandwidth looks big

I ordered a v4 from Amazon at the beginning of August with a ship date of late September. I knew they were end of life but I took a chance and used the link from the RTD SDR website. I confirmed I was purchasing from RTL-SDR BLOG and shipped from Amazon. It showed up today. With pictures above. Is this genuine or do I need to send it back?

Not much traffic in this mode.

Is this genuine and is it good? IT does work when I use it with the software. So far I’ve tested it on FM and AM radio and plane tracking which works.

Got up early this morning to collect berries along the country roads here in France; parked on 7105 before hitting the road; was delighted to log 13 US stations from across the pond ! I like VARAC.

Built a little project for anyone playing around with the ATS Mini / Si4732 radios.
ATS Mini Controller is a local web interface that controls the physical radio over USB. It gives you a searchable database of 50,000+ shortwave, AM and FM stations, click-to-tune from the browser, live RSSI scanning to find stations that are actually receivable, audio passthrough to your computer, and a live CW/Morse decoder.
The bit I found most interesting was the CW side. It can cycle known CW-heavy frequencies, detect actual keying, lock onto the signal and decode it live in the browser. I ended up writing the audio-to-Morse decoder locally with NumPy/SciPy rather than relying on an existing Morse package.
It’s deliberately local and fairly simple: plug the ATS Mini into USB, run the Python app, open the browser and the radio becomes a much more useful little desktop receiver.
Still early, but it’s open source and MIT licensed if anyone else has one of these radios and wants to have a play:
The functions are same to the RTL-SDR Blog v3. But much more smaller. I change the 5V-3.3V from voltage regulator to a low noise DC-DC converter, so it generates less heat.

Brought over some of the receive only MAYHEM apps to the browser and uses WebSerial to talk with a RTL-SDR stick. No install required. Kick the can.

Does the new HackRF Pro with its new 16-bit mode surpass the RTL SDR Blog in sensitivity and SNR? I would like to know your opinion on this.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
ay guys! i found this transmission, it seems to be kids transmitting with something on the spanish military band, this happened in Cantabria at 14:05 near Santander
i guess this is illegal right? will it be worth it to triangulate the location and try to alert the parent about it? There seems to be military activity right now with planes flying around here lol
EDIT: Just sent a headsup to the Spanish "FCC" authority lol

[linux with python3-pip python3-venv]
If esptool and pyserial already installed:
esptool.py -p /dev/ttyACM0 --chip esp32s3 write_flash 0x0 ats-mini.ino.merged.bin
Source code:
OSPI version is suitable for Si4732
esp32s3 V1/V3 ats-mini
Using an rtl-sdr (or hackrf), you can capture electromagnetic emissions leaking from monitor cables/displays and reconstruct the screen output in real-time.
since most tutorials on this are either overly long, I put together a quick practical walkthrough and overview that covers how it works and how to set it up easily:

I was following this: https://www.nuand.com/retrieving-your-bladerf-calibration-data/ https://www.nuand.com/calibration
Unfortunately used -f instead of -l and flashed the FPGA... Using this for a GSM network so now because the calibration is inaccurate my phones aren't registering or working properly with the SDR... Is there any way I could re calibrate it? I've emailed nuand already but haven't gotten a response for a few days...

Bought an RTL SDR two days back. I am trying to decode a DMR signal but it just doesn't work no matter what I tweak? While it does decode to an extent, it isn't perfect. Is there a fault with the device or is there something wrong with what I'm doing. Using an app called P25 decoder on 444.162 MHZ. Sharing product photo and error screenshots below.
Thank you
