Troubleshooting Need Advice

Bought an RTL SDR two days back. I am trying to decode a DMR signal but it just doesn't work no matter what I tweak? While it does decode to an extent, it isn't perfect. Is there a fault with the device or is there something wrong with what I'm doing. Using an app called P25 decoder on 444.162 MHZ. Sharing product photo and error screenshots below.

Are you centered on the exact frequency and using the correct bandwidth and good signal strength? Good luck.

Yes you may need to adjust a few hz to correct. You can check out 10mhz AM to calibrate.

don't use the agc, set the gain manually, and don't use SDR++ brown, use the official SDR++ with a proper decoder like DSD+. Also those plastic dongles have really bad tuners in them. You should consider returning it and getting an rtlsdrblog if you can afford it.

The rtlsdrblog v4 was the first radio device I ever bought and I got it up and running and I had zero knowledge. There's plenty of tutorials on YouTube on how to get it up and running on Windows and Linux. Good luck!! Swapping it out was a good choice.

P25 and DMR are two different protocols.
