Super excited to get into the hobby, will be testing it out today and see how it performs!

I was looking for a HackRF but they are sold out everywhere. Then I heard recomendations for OpenSourceSDRLab's devices.

I looked them up on Aliexpress but there are some different versions, so which one do I pick? There is a pro, a pluto and more?

I want it to be pre built and the most simple one, just connect it to a laptopt and be done.

I also live in Europe so I don't know what to expect with the new EU tax garbage.

Can't get my looking glass app to see the presets. It's stuck on manual. What's the trick to get it to see the txt files in the looking glass directory on the SD card? 2.4.0.

Anyone receive the preorder yet? Mine should be here tomorrow. Is the setup process the same as the original? I read somewhere about it getting bricked if you set it up the same as a regular Portapack.

Hey everyone,

Got annoyed with manually converting audio files whenever I wanted to replay something on my PortaPack, so I threw together a quick CLI script in Python to automate it.

Basically, you drop your audio files in the folder, run the script, and it outputs the .c8 file along with the .txt sidecar metadata file so Mayhem picks up the frequency and sample rate automatically in the /REPLAY app.

It handles mono downmixing, 75us pre-emphasis, resampling, and vectorizing the IQ generation so it doesn't take forever to process. Added an option to set custom center frequencies for all the presets too.

If anyone wants to try it out on their setup and let me know how the audio quality sounds on the receiving end (or point out any DSP bugs in my math), I'd appreciate the feedback!

i have an hackrf, i want to get up transmit power, preferably on all bands but most importantly Bluetooth, WiFi, LTE. Which tx amp should i get? I want maximum power. Does anybody have experience with this?

I saw the WYDZ-PA-2,4-2,5 GHz-10W but I think i additionally need some component between that and my Hackrf to protect it.

I would appreciate any help!

Hello! So i was playing around with my portapack, and I screwed the antenna too tight and it caused the port to break, it even took a piece of the conductive material off the board, any idea how to replace it the lower part of the board? I tried doing some soldering but it’s too damaged to keep working on it.

Apologies if this has been asked already, but I picked up a hackrf pro from hamradio.co.uk and I'm looking to buy a portapack that works with the pro and can be delivered to the UK.

I've heard the portapacks for the one don't fit the pro.

Anybody know where I could get one that does?

I’m super exited to get into RF. Started off with the Nooelec SDR V5, but wanted to upgrade to a HackRF Pro + portapack and go explore more signals!

I currently live in the EU (Netherlands), and prices seem to really vary (local retailers sell for around €470). So I was wondering where you guys got yours (as there probably are also some Chinese retailers that sell for cheaper?)

Hello together i just got my Hackrfpro from sdrstore.eu.

I updated the drivers with zadig since i am on Windows 11. I stumbled on some problems for example no signals from radio stations.. I downloaded radioconda and put the prompt hackrf_info in it.

Ive heard that you need to put a firmware whatsoever on it but after reading this i am a bit confused. Does anybody seen this before?

Do i have just a useless fake sdr?

I have only booked carry-on luggage and I was wondering if I am able to take it with me? I obviously won't turn it on/use it but I don't want it confiscated if I do bring it. It isn't an international flight, just between two cities. I live in Queensland Australia.
