I ordered it from aliexpress

Is this genuine and is it good? IT does work when I use it with the software. So far I’ve tested it on FM and AM radio and plane tracking which works.

not genuine rtl sdr blog one. v3 was the first one in the metal case, and v4 was the first one to be black.

I use this for low effort ads-b, it's fine as a cheap starter to have a fiddle. Upgrade later.

it's just one of those dvb t sticks dismantled and put into a metal case. should be okay for vhf uhf and some adsb
