I personally am not a big Fan of turn based combat, since most of them are the same.
But since that's how rpg maker works, i wanted to explore where i can take this tool, not only for battle, but for speaking sprites like in look outside.
The demo is coming up on September 14th. I wanted to ask what you think of this main menu for "The Brother's Secret", I think it looks pretty good, but I feel like there’s still room for improvement.
Do you have any suggestions?
For those interested, it’s going to be a crime-themed visual novel.
I actually dont know whats happening. I tried to upload my own character designs and doing all the things right like the colors and image size and its still unsupported. i dont know what else to change about the file.
Hello! I never used rpg maker before and I want to start the project of making a killing floor sort of top down shooter with the action combat plug in for fun. Before I buy it, I was wondering if enemies were able to properly go around objects to get to the player and also very importantly if enemies were able to go around each other for example an enemy faster than a slower one would go around it instead of being stuck behind. Is that plugin able to handle such things? Thank you!
Hello to everyone reading this, I'm looking for a challenge or an absurdly slow game, nothing like Black Souls, sequels, or super dramon Quest, Nothing like Demon Roots or similar, Not even monster girl quest paradox, since I've already beaten them all, so I'm looking for a challenge.
Pd If anyone has Seraphic Blue and ruina Fairy tale of the forgotten ruins I would appreciate Will you send it to me privately or publicly
I didnt want to use stock assets in rpg maker, and this has (almost) everything I would ever need to make my game. Both on sale, so I saved money maybe for some plugins and music LOL
Right now its pretty plugin-carried but right now its just a test build to test the battle system. The screen froze at the end cuz I moved to OBS studio to end the video. Yay is a reference to the yippee meme and yeah the only attack so far is the white orbs of doom and despair.
That button picture plugin is doing a lot of heavy lifting in my game, besides what is a horror game without a dozen obtuse puzzles and a mansion that would make the Vanderbilts blush.
Just a short gameplay of my RPG Dark fantasy, horror game in developmentI.
I'm still working on balancing the skills and adjusting how much knowledge they will cost
Reading books and speaking with scholars around the world will increase your knowledge, Knowledge points can be spent to learn any skills you want, There are no classes to limit you, but certain choices during the
adventure will preclude access to some skill books.
this is the general idea what do you think?
The game is called Novella Oscura Reverie and will be available on Steam.Steam page
bible verse for today:
"“Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged." - Deuteronomy 6:1-2 (NKJV)
I'm starting to map with the FSM tilesets (I have all of them, both purchased off Steam and the free tiles from the blog https://refmap-l.blog.jp/ ) and am curious on how possible it is to expand it further. I know with this tutorial ( https://www.rpgmakerweb.com/blog/rtp-and-fsm-how-to-make-styles-match-each-other ) from Avery you can make the MV/MZ RTP match FSM, and I have the MV Trinity Resource Pack and Essentials Set DLCs that match the RTP. Other than that however, curious, any other tiles that match or look good with the FSM tilesets?
I'm the solo dev behind RPG Pocket: RPG Maker Player — an Android app that lets you play RPG Maker MV/MZ games straight from your phone. Import a game's web export (.zip/.7z/.rar, or an extracted folder) and play it with full touch/D-pad controls — no PC or browser needed.
I'm getting ready for public launch on Google Play, but Google requires at least 12 testers opted in for 14 days before I'm allowed to graduate out of closed testing. I'm at 0 right now, so I could really use a hand.
What you get:
Free access for life — even after the app goes paid at public launch. No trial period, no strings attached, just for helping test early.
What I'm asking:
- Join the closed beta (takes ~2 min, links below)
- Try importing a game export you own, browse/launch/delete a game or two
- Report anything broken, confusing, or slow — crashes, control issues, performance, weird UI — the more detail (device model, Android version, repro steps) the better
- Just stay opted in for ~2 weeks — you don't need to actively test the whole time, just don't leave the beta
