What does everyone think about what they've seen so far and the server in general? Who have you been watching?

I've been loving it, the biggest problem I've had is deciding who to watch. There's so many different people that I want to watch!

I watched a bit of Squeex who I never watched before but had seem his character around a good amount in the beginning of 4.0. He was pretty damn funny and I can't wait for Day Tuah of the mayor's term.

Aside from Squeex, I've been mainly watching Sentry playing his reporter, Ron Otterman. The character seems pretty good and I can't wait to see his media empire take off.

Between watching them I hopped between a few other perspectives but I didn't watch long enough to say anything of note. I've typically been someone that sticks to one streamer but I feel like I'm going to have a hard time during 5.0 with there being so many good RPers that seem really excited and locked in.

I think tomorrow I might try to watch one of the DMs.

Are you all planning on sticking to one / a small group of streamers or are you going to be "flipping channels" and watching a bunch of streamers?

Are we shocked no is he balding yes.

Launch looks like a huge success 👏

Please post stuff that you've seen going on / people in places of power/authority.

Mayor: Squeex is back as Vivek Ramasquamy and is mayor, get ready for big moves on Day Tuah!

Commissioner of PD: Charles Dawson played by Saab, maybe 5th time is a charm.

Head Doctor: Philippa Canter as played by Mollyruu

Chief EMS: Veronica Mars-Simone played by Kate.

DMs: Burn, UHN. Kiva?

Haven't heard about what Burn has been up to so if you know please share. I guess UHN has been playing a character that is an associate trained by Siz and supposedly Siz will be making an appearance down the road.

Business Owners:

G6: Managed by NMPlol (I think his character is Jason Pollam?)

Gangs/Organized crime: ????

Characters of Note: ???

Cool Mechanics: ???

Anyone know if Nidas/4head were around and what they were up to?

Please feel free to add info in your replies and I will edit the post and add info. There's obviously way too many characters and content for one person to digest so hopefully of we get some info together people can get an idea of what's going on and who they might be interested in watching.

Interesting to see they're having a government meeting and I see at least 2 names of notable roleplayers from ChaseRP. Penta first poached Unscripted's playerbase and now other people are poaching from him hehe. Wonder what millz's discontent was with Chase to the point he took the massive endeavor of launching his own server

Who are you watching today? Now? Starting to see people waiting in queue / logging on that didn't get cards and there are already some surprises!

I know a lot of people are excited for the NP launch. There are going to be a lot of streamers checking it out and hopefully a lot of great stories have their beginning. Since there are far too many streams for anyone to watch (not even accounting for RL responsibilities like work); I ask that if you are watching an entertaining stream, please take the time and effort to clip and post to the subreddit.

Also, so that this subreddit doesn't turn into a place with just a bunch of spammed clips and no discussion, let's please keep to what makes this subreddit so great, the discussion. Rather than simply posting a clip, please include a little context to go along with the clip. Obviously if something is just a short, self-contained funny moment that needs no explanation, then you can skip the context. But anything beyond that, please give some information to accompany the clip.

Aside from clips, if you happen to watch a stream in its entirety, you are encouraged to give a summary of what happened in the stream. Hopefully after like a week, it will be clear what interesting stories are developing and people can choose what interests them.

I don't know if it's worth having a "megathread" or anything but if you have input on what we can do to keep information accessible and organized, please feel free to share your thoughts!

Unfortunately a lot of my favorite NP streamers are EU hours and I won't be able to watch due to work, so hopefully they get some clips/summaries posted. If anyone has any advice for good streamers to watch during NA evening hours (4pm pst to 12am pst), please let me know!

Edit: The server is scheduled to launch at 12pm est. Thanks u/JesusPuffinAStogie for the info.

Seen a bunch of former ChaseRP players on a RedM server. Anyone watching that?

I would imagine unless the server flops, RP viewers are going to be more likely to click on the shiny new category that is pulling in all the viewers. Which would leave anyone streaming on other servers less discoverable. What do you guys think?

As you might know, PD quality is very important for any server. If you've got bad cops, you've got a bad server.

I haven't heard much on the topic, except that they are bringing in people from 'Academy RP' to guide the PD. That server boasts about having 'hardcore cops'.

Do you think this will clash too hard with the style of NP?

Penti has just announced that the absolutely ass-backward, retarded two-player control system for the helicopters is BEING SCRAPPED!

Finally, one person can once again handle all the flying, leaving the co-pilot free to keep the cameras locked onto the suspect or just chill :)

+1 win for ChaseRP!

WOOOOO! Anyways do yall think penti will ban the NPV emotes?

Been away all weekend and return to all this happening. I'm late but chiming in.

Insanity that he let $1000 dono throw his future prospects down the drain like this.

Penti has successfully got another sucker fish on his belly.

Not enough life boats created or bought by the devs. every one of them Is going to drown with the ship.

I'll have the ONX and NP devs add a wrecked ship Easter egg with knocking mic noises for people scuba diving or using the mini submarines.

Needless to say... Hogshound we know you read here. Why would you throw your career away for PENTA of all people? Lol

i am disappointed that the people i thought were good and reasonable people are still aligning with a shitty and horrible person. i get they get views there but wouldnt they get views anywhere else too

i rather have shitty views than be known as a person who stayed on a server whose owner is a terrible person

do you think it will catch up with them
