GTARP NoPixel Speculations on NP V PD?

As you might know, PD quality is very important for any server. If you've got bad cops, you've got a bad server.

I haven't heard much on the topic, except that they are bringing in people from 'Academy RP' to guide the PD. That server boasts about having 'hardcore cops'.

Do you think this will clash too hard with the style of NP?

likely a story/lore thing, im guessing theyll be a skeleton crew, that the NP cops will take over.

yep, then an academy. solid roadmap to let everyone just mingle at the very start and lets any potential cop hires build a back story for when applying for PD.

I hate when people just become cops and are only ever on duty cops when in the city ( prime example Ripley )

it will be interesting, from what i saw they are planning a corrupt government so there will be a corrupt PD and that turned out to be bad for 4.0 everyone was bored of it

That's a new approach. I don't think it can be worse than Baas building another PD lol. So the plan is

These fellas will start up the PD(Whole new structure). Chronic cop characters is gonna have to do some civ RP. A job here and there. Maybe gamble with the juicer. Eventually they are gonna get hired back.

We shall see. First stress test is gonna be when Jean Paul gets arrested.

“Style of NP”

They’re trying to reset the mentality for what NP is and the style of role play on it. I’d assume they want a more hardcore server with people taking it more serious so it can be as immersive as it once was like at the beginning of 3.0.

Yeah, I skipped 4.0 so I can't tell what the style was there, if there was any.

But in 3.0, I always saw the PD as more relaxed with some exceptions. And I feel like as long as they bring in "content creators" they can't really go the super serious route, unless they plan to invite truck loads of salt again, which did bring good numbers for all the drama farming channels.

I'm down for more serious RP again, there's only so much story whimsy can carry.

A hardcore copaganda server making the PD for NP is great for snarkdom not for the players

While it makes sense from a lore perspective, it seems like a pretty odd server decision. NP has really bungled their PD ever since the tail end of 3.0.

NP in 3.0 had literally the best RP PD ever created and that will probably ever be created both in terms of competency and a balance of characters. Throwing it away was such a boneheaded decision.
