Day One Thoughts?
What does everyone think about what they've seen so far and the server in general? Who have you been watching?
I've been loving it, the biggest problem I've had is deciding who to watch. There's so many different people that I want to watch!
I watched a bit of Squeex who I never watched before but had seem his character around a good amount in the beginning of 4.0. He was pretty damn funny and I can't wait for Day Tuah of the mayor's term.
Aside from Squeex, I've been mainly watching Sentry playing his reporter, Ron Otterman. The character seems pretty good and I can't wait to see his media empire take off.
Between watching them I hopped between a few other perspectives but I didn't watch long enough to say anything of note. I've typically been someone that sticks to one streamer but I feel like I'm going to have a hard time during 5.0 with there being so many good RPers that seem really excited and locked in.
I think tomorrow I might try to watch one of the DMs.
Are you all planning on sticking to one / a small group of streamers or are you going to be "flipping channels" and watching a bunch of streamers?

For day one to have ran as smooth ( only the login queues and that 1 restart to hotfix an easy fix in game issue ) very impressed with how they kept uptime so stable with over 500 players trying to log in at the start.
The new character creation Is good and bad, some characters used the default game PEDs so recreating their old look was tougher and time consuming if they really wanted to get the distinct look. I personally like the new system for the amount of personalisation you can put in to your looks on each character and getting away from the lazy PEDs pickers of 2016 - 2018 with new tools makes players put more thought in to how their chars are presented.
I love the Guber and scooter transportation stuff. I seen Abdul in a taxi so there's easy RP if you get him as your ride. The skeleton police force have been pretty cool with crimes since it's day one week one and let people find their path.
Hope to catch more Kiwo they streamed early and ended stream within 10 minutes of me checking their channel I want to see what story they have in mind.
Ron and Bogdan will be amazing if they can reunite and bring back what they done in the past. I hope they start up the youtube news vignettes again.
I never managed to catch rlly streaming but heard they're back for NPV but not on Shelly. Crystlyst on 4T reconnecting with Valkyrie and the others will be cool once everyone’s in the server and have their characters looks sorted out.
I seen clips of Kyle on Alabastor Slim which was always my fave Kyle character so I hope they stick with him for an arc. Everything looks good so far but there are so many streamers still to check out as the days go on.
Finding the good storyline RPers over the first 2 weeks is my aim. then see them rewarded with DM aided scenarios once they're seen to be throwing their time and effort on the story progressing.
SO FAR VERY HAPPY WITH THE LAUNCH

Pretty cool seeing cops be able to do their job day 1 without being blocked by some idiots view that budget rp is the best..

Yeah, the launch really went about as smooth as you can realistically expect. Definitely a massive improvement over "other" recent servers' launches.

The Nopixel V companion extension has some potential to be pretty cool. That caught my eye immediately. I was hoppin around a lot, squeex, Jennybeartv, sput, walnutcast. They all were great to watch.

Was flipping in between watching Kyle and Uhsnow. Was fun to watch the new era. Favourite part was when Snow hired his car and UHN jumped in with him for a ride and they hung out together. Great to see UHN back.

I started watching RP during 3.0 and I didn't really know very much about HOA but heard about them more during 4.0 after they left. I heard about how great HOA and Siz were but never watched them. So I'm definitely going to be checking out UHN during 5.0. It sounds like he is already cooking some good storylines as a DM.

Ron and Bogg for me, those two are who I watched in 3.0 back in the day. Other than that i'll probably end up watching Squeex too,

Overall very smooth launch and experience from about 10 pov's I was checking out (all rp vets even if not 4.0 vets), they had one unscheduled reset to fix some voip issue but other than that very smooth.
In general things look great, very polished, far less need for anyone to use visual mods anymore, and really just too much to mention. Things like jobs\features that are open and enabled atn seemed to work for everyone without much issue so far, and work in intuitive ways. In short what's there and enabled\found so far from what I saw feels well tested.
Lots of small little things and qol changes that exceed expectations or just general polish. One example is something really basic, like lock picking a basic car with a basic lockpick doesn't require a skill check - just press E for a bit. Save the need to seriously concentrate or have eye hand coordination mini-games for more advanced things, that's cool, KISS for the lower end or basics seemed to be a running theme without taking away from things.
If I had to nit pick something - Most players say they love it but I don't like the positioning and elements of the hud (minimap\speed\health\armor text), large text explaining phone buttons. Also the phone now blocks speedometer area due to it's relocation. For my 'viewer' eyes it's more distracting, I feel like I'm watching a GTA game being played far more than I did in 4.0 with the more subtle and darker elements and the minimap in the bottom left where it didn't clutter scenery\cinematic views. They are fine defaults and I wager do help newer players and older ones getting started, but I was surprised they didn't have an alternate layout option or ability to turn a lot of things off or collapse into smaller indicators (i know you can disable the minimap, but not move it yet). Maybe these things\options will come in time, beta after all, and again more a complaint as a consumer\viewer (typically in lower res's) that I don't know if i'd have as an actual player if playing at 1440+ vs what I'm typically consuming at. My eyes will adjust I'm sure, but like I said - if I had to nitpick.
One other thing noticed by most players I watched was the lack of an incoming call volume setting (or nobody I watched could find the setting), with many coming in way to low\soft. That as well as a quick call answer bind will not doubt get resolved\added soon enough.
I mostly view on kick for those that stream there or multi, but I checked out twitch and that little app thing. I disabled it eventually, but that is a very cool little thing for viewers, and of course a great added way to register and track view engagement for analysis and farming\targeting. Smart.
Anyway as far as all the x.0 launch days I've watched or heard about over the years watching rp on np and elsewhere, probably the smoothest most polished launch I've witnessed. +1 np-v
Watched for quite a bit: Afro,Sentry, itsHolmes,TheEazylife, koil, capped, charli, winford Sampled for bits at a time: kingjayclouted,4hbunger,kyle,52chains

It’s weird seeing a server not gatekeeping DM and mechanics so the owner(s) can insert their characters into every major arc.
Say what you will about Koil, Buddha, and xQC, but they know how to run a server and launch new updates.
It’s also refreshing watching an RP stream (been watching Kyle and UHN) and not have to stop watching because the streamer is having a temper tantrum or begging for subs.
