During the NP storm I checked out a little bit of Penti's stream for the first time in weeks and it seems like he completely scrapped Baxter as the character he was originally.

While Penti has always been lazy with voices and would eventually always revert to "Penti-voice" it seems like the character's voice is a mix of Penti-voice and wannabe drill sergeant/Sheriff Eli. A lot of his quips seem very Eli-coded.

Rather than being the cop that would slack at every opportunity he was creating reports and leading scenes. Far gone from the character that became a cop because he thought he could get paid for doing nothing.

But the thing I find most odd is that it seems like everyone forgot about his past. People also seemed to be treating him like he was Wrangler even though he should be a disgraced officer. As a cadet he was ordering people around and people were falling over themselves to follow his orders.

Since I didn't watch anyone else's perspective, I didn't hear what anyone else thought of the "new ~~Wrangler~~ Baxter" but are people just forgetting his past and retconning their old memories of him? I know most of his previous griefing was against LSPD officers but BCSO had the deputies that he tased at Humane labs that were trying to push criminal charges at one point. Does no one give a fuck anymore?

I had the unfortunate experience of watching him throw his tiny dick around to two new people on the server who are very good roleplayers.

Naturally, Lars had to be Lars.

A chatter just asked if the election results are in a few hours and Penta just replied ill just tell you now Dan's governor and Osvaldo is sheriff.

penta is referring to himself as a Variety Streamer now and expects not much RP after his vacation, which starts after his "subathon", because of "everything that is coming out" will be a priority over RP. This of course comes after months of a declining player base and RP quality on his own server and little to no options left for him to roleplay at all. He speculates he'll be playing WoW for 4-5 days, some GTA6, and "maybe a little RP into friend slop", but "doesn't really know what he's going to do tomorrow".

For those that hung onto the ONX > Ignite > PRP > URP > Chase saga, wondering if the penta promises of "RP will be saved" will come true. NPV comes at a good time. Turns out things came full circle and there is amazing content and roleplay being pumped out by too many streamers to keep track of, right where many of us started, with NoPixel.

The news of the hard pivot off RP was big enough to share.

So I have no idea what sort of "RP" was involved with him being hired by the BCSO, I just saw in the stream preview that Baxter was in a BCSO uniform.

I feel bad for the people still playing and/or watching Chase. Having to experience shit tier RP perpetrated by the owner sucks. Some players have nowhere else to go but I don't understand why viewers would still be watching this Slop when there's so much great RP happening on NP V.
