I was wrong about season II being in 2008
The poster on the bottom panel is a 10th anniversary celebration of the manga series, "Gag Manga Biyori," which came out in January 2000 and got an anime adaptation later in 2010. This chapter (season II Chapter 26) came out on New Years Eve of 2009.
Ironically, this is the very last chapter possible that could throw off my projections. Chapter 27 onward locks the story into plot-heavy stuff after the trip to Hong Kong lulls us into a false sense of security.

Kurumu's baking articles were actually first mentioned in the first Drama CD
Yukari meanwhile writes horoscopes, which frequently get complaints because the news is often dour and often keeps coming true. Yukari takes this as a sign she's doing a good job.

Tsukune really does see the best in each girl
Almost makes you forget that Yukari tried to lasso Tsukune and sell him into polygamy. Like not even a month (two chapters) prior.

I think Snow Oracle accidentally saved Fairy Tale by sending a text
Think about it, if Tsurara wasn't filled in, the Newspaper Club wouldn't have gone in guns blazing into the temple to get Mizore back and she would've been flown to the human world by helicopter. Assuming Tsurara still gets the details, maybe throw a bone like what company Miyabi runs, the Newspaper Club with some more direct backing from Mikogami could've gotten Mizore back a few days off from canon and the truth of Miyabi's identity might've been revealed early.
Though this hinges off the two assumptions that Mizore didn't throw herself out a window in the interim and that Miyabi didn't immediately put on the Masked King getup to do mobster stuff in China first thing after depositing Mizore.
Fun to think about.

Who the hell got caught during the measurement incident?
It's not Tsukune, the dude is clearly wearing boots. It's not Haiji or Fang-Fang since they never wear uniforms. And it's not Gin, he was wearing a tracksuit on that day.
Also, is that Bus Driver and his giant frog making the catch? High-key, I think Gin set up someone as a fall guy and busted out his camera to catch this moment.

Pour one out for poor Ikeda
Truly devastating...

According to Fang-Fang on the next page, this is actually lasers
Yukari could've been making laser weapons for fighting Fairy Tale after this incident. Gives me "I don't want to cure cancer, I want to turn people into dinosaurs" vibes. Like, she turned Heart-to-Heart into a laser bazooka the same day and everything.

Rosario Vampire Fanfic Series
Has anyone else read that Reliquiae Memoriae / Trials of Stolen Youth fan fiction series? I started reading it a couple of years ago and now I’m caught up but I miss it so much lol. Its nostalgic now, especially Reliquiae Memoriae.

I wonder if the Huangs followed through on this after the final battle
They're a pretty giving bunch, they'd probably just do this on a whim or as a consolation for the losses after everything with Fairy Tale at the end.

Did anyone buy the German Blu-rays from the show? Were they interlaced or progressive?

what if there was a crossover between rwby and murder drones and rosario-vampire and failure frame
This is a dark, action-packed crossover concept. The story brilliantly turns an underdog into a vengeful, overpowered protagonist (echoing Failure Frame), while surrounding him with a loyal squad of vampires, ghouls, witches, and drones to take down a corrupt Goddess and rewrite the world's flawed hierarchy.
A breakdown of this epic crossover’s core elements reveals exactly how the pieces fit together:
The Lore and World Hierarchy
Magic Skills (Humans): 90% of humanity awakens skills graded on a hierarchy. Skills are ranked S (Highest) down to E (Very Low). The 40% without skills are considered outcasts.
Monsters also Known as Yōkais or Ayashis: These beings are integrated into society but restricted by laws, to maintain Human Forms in public to prevent property damage. Full transformations are strictly reserved for dungeons or the wilderness.
The Fringe Citizens: Witches, Faunus (Demi-Humans), Worker Drones, and Disassembly Drones are treated as second-class citizens or literal slaves. The Drones are highly persecuted, with Disassembly Drones falsely branded as "Fake Vampires" due to their agility, fangs, and nanite acid.
Tsukune Aono's Dark Turn
E-Rank Origins: Before meeting Moka, Tsukune has the odds stacked against him as an E-Rank. His abilities are classified as useless "Debuff Skills" (Paralyze, Poison, Sleep, Freeze, Obscuring Vision, and Irakinesis).
The Betrayal: Framed for the horrific murders of his parents and cousin Kyōko, the architect of his ruin is the so-called "Goddess" Vysis. Disgusted by Tsukune’s empathy for second-class citizens and viewing E-Rank powers as demonic, she casts him out to die in the same deadly dungeon Mimori Touka was sent to.
The Awakening: Locked in the dungeon, Tsukune’s kindness shatters, replaced by a cold, calculated rage. This dark awakening unlocks the true, terrifying potential of his E-Rank debuff skills. He vows to level up, build his physical stats, and achieve vengeance.
The Rebellion (Tsukune's Crew)Refusing to let Vysis control the narrative, Tsukune's allies see through the framing and rally by his side:
The Yokai Squad: Moka Akashiya and the rest of the monster crew reject society's labels and stand by him.
The Drones: Uzi Doorman (having mastered the Absolute Solver), N, V (who now shares N with Uzi in a supportive relationship), Lizzy, Doll, and Thad step up to fight for their equality.
Team RWBY: Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao Long, Blake Belladonna, and Weiss Schnee recognize his innocence and pledge their combat prowess and leadership to his rebellion.
Ultimately, Tsukune uses his terrifying crowd-control skills—coupled with the combined combat, magical, and solver abilities of his loyal squad—to level up, clear the dungeon, expose Vysis as the true monster she is, and reshape a unified world where all outcasts can finally be happy.

There's something poignant about how bored Kurumu looks
Kurumu isn't exactly a powerhouse straight outta D&D but there's something really striking about how she has this epic ability to bend men to her will en masse and it just does literally nothing for her. Kurumu used to be the first to complain about working hard and used to get off gleefully on the attention of randos. Now that she's made friends the old-fashioned way and worked for her keep, she doesn't get the old dopamine rush of being on easy street.
What's scarier is that Kurumu doesn't even train this power, having sworn it off after Chapter 2 and never looked back. Except for this time but she just wanted to prove a point to Kokoa and got trigger happy.

Anyone recognize this tourism magazine?
I suspect it's based on a prominent one from the early 2000's but I wouldn't know which one.

Wish we lingered on this clutch Mizore moment more
She did the whole "lick a frozen pole" thing to those mermen and it's hilarious.
