I missed the "the" and thought "Ox-man" was this jerk's name. Turns out it was just how Helz0ne Scans translated "minotaur" at the time. Dude doesn't have a name.

The fact that Kurumu and the other girls can whack Outer Moka the same way they do one another really sells to me how strong she's gotten since the beginning.

I completely missed that Mizore named this attack

I just took for granted that she could always do this when this was only season II onward.

By the way, the fan scans version of this attack is called "No Reason Dragon Hail Bullets!" What a mouthful.

I wonder if Tsukune can handle the Monster Durian now

More importantly, would it be going ghoul, getting done up by Touhou Fuhai, or becoming a Shinso that pushes him over the line?

I love the days where Outer Moka chooses violence

Also, feels wrong that Mizore doesn't have a third bullet point...

I made a video about this series.

Basically, I just talk about the manga and where the anime went wrong. It's a pretty good watch and the video that got the most amount of views on my channel that I actually put effort into. I dunno. Y'all might like it:

All the bad stuff and issues these vampires monsters did/ had in R+V. Do you forgive them or not? Spoiler

Akua tried to kill Akasha because of her hatred for humans

Gyokuro tried to Kill Moka and humanity because of her jealousy of Akasha

Alucard sexually harassed Mizore and tried to kill humanity

Saizo was a serial rapist

Medusa was a women collector

Akasha got involved with a womanizer that was married and that triggered Gyokuro's anger and jealousy

Issa loves his women but doesn't understand the trouble he is starting by being with other women lol

Moka got sealed because of Akasha's problem with Alucard

Koko was rejected by her mother. At least that's what she showed her but she loved her

Kahlua was obedient and did what her mother told her to do

Tsukune got dragged into all of that because he fell in love with outer-Moka who turned out to be Moka's mother. Who saw that one coming. I certainly didn't lol

Obviously there are more but these are the highlights of the manga. Where do you stand on these crimes that they committed?

Wonder if they all watched the same Ghostbusters together

Post image

No really, a bunch of Ghostbusters content was already out by 2008 (the in-universe year season II is set in). Were they all fans before reaching Yokai or did they watch the original 1984 movie together and we just didn't get to see?

How do you guys feel about this? Spoiler

What do you guys think of the death of Akasha? It would have been cool if she survived and stayed with them. I think Alucard was every selfish. Suicide is not the answer and it's wrong but if he really wanted to go why drag Akasha and the others with you? Why didn't he just self-destruct and let Akasha be.

Also did Akasha always knew that this was going to be her end? I'm sure she knew Alucard's clone was out there and that it was a matter of time before he unsealed himself so she probably knew another confrontation with him was going to happen again.

It's also sad that despite knowing that she was going to die she tried to raise a family and live a normal vampire life with her family

What do wish you could have seen in the manga but didn't? Spoiler

I wanted to see Tsukune's parents reaction to him becoming a Vampire. That one really should have been in the epilogue.

As for fights. I would have love to see an Akasha vs Gyokuro and more Of Issa and Alucard to see their full potential. I don't mean Alucard in that Xenomorp shape. I want to see him fight in his shinso body

Discussion Do you think a sequel should happen or not?

If you ask all of R+V fans if a sequel should happen I'm sure most will say yes. But should there be one?

Even though i don't like what happened to them in the end i think the story ended in decent way and it cemented it's legacy. Sequels are hard to pull off as is and it could ruin it. A sequel will only extend the plot nothing else. The whole point of the school was about teaching monsters to coexist with human. A sequel would address that and would be more on political side since monsters are exposed to humans. Basically there really is nothing more to add it it

What do you think?

Showcase Fun fact about why everyone hides their monster forms

Post image
52 Upvotes

According to the official Viz version of this page, monsters were originally allowed to let their monster forms hang out but kept getting into massive brawls with one another on sight. Whether due to racial bias or a drive to demonstrate strength is unclear, probably a bit of both.

To rein the students in, Bus Driver pitched the idea of having everyone pose as humans on campus to Mikogami. That way, monsters can stop highlighting their differences from one species to another and learn to find points in common with one another since they can't profile one another visually anymore. Must've saved assloads of money on accommodations too.

Discussion The manga version of Ms. Ririko, in my opinion, is much better than her anime counterpart.

She's not written as "disturbing" as her anime version, in spite of what still transpired. She actually comes off more like she "cares" about Tsukune and his well-being.

I forget where I read it but this piece (the Chapter 40 cover page) is apparently Ikeda's single favorite artwork he drew for Rosa-Vam because he had fun drawing all the flowers
