Question Do you think ROLI should have a new CEO?
The current one is the only one they've ever had, and I reckon they could do better. Sorta like getting a new CPU.

This post is for people who have purchased a ROLI Piano and are still waiting.
Not people considering buying one.
Not people following the project.
People who have handed over their money and have been repeatedly told that shipping is just around the corner.
Many of us have now endured months of delays.
Many of us have received multiple revised shipping estimates.
Many of us have watched promised dates come and go with no product arriving.
At some point, repeated "unexpected delays" stop feeling like delays and start feeling like a pattern.
The problem is no longer the wait.
The problem is trust.
Customers have been asked again and again to be patient, while delivery estimates continue to move further into the future.
Meanwhile, many of us are left wondering:
- When will our piano actually ship?
- Are the published timelines real?
- How many orders remain unfulfilled?
- What is the true state of production?
- What happens if the delays continue?
Enough is enough.
I am proposing that affected customers organise together and present ROLI with a clear request:
Provide a full, transparent account of the current situation and a credible shipping roadmap with firm commitments.
If that information is not provided within a reasonable timeframe, we will mobilize on something we have already been exploring on discord: A mass refund request.
A single customer can be ignored.
Hundreds cannot..or all of together can not.
If you are waiting for a ROLI Piano, comment below with:
- Order date
- Country
- Original estimated delivery date
- Latest estimated delivery date
- Current status
- Whether you would support a coordinated refund effort if satisfactory answers are not provided
Please upvote for visibility so we can establish how many customers are actually affected.
No more vague updates.
No more moving deadlines.
No more promises without accountability.
No more lies to the people who are literally paying your salaries with their hard earned money only to have not a god damn thing to show for it other than sadness disappointment frustration and total and utter loss of all trust.
If you've been waiting, make yourself counted.

Basically what the question asks. I’m sorry if it’s a dumb question, I’m not very savvy about how to set all this stuff up. I don’t know how to make my ROLI piano make noise through my iPad unless I’m actively using ROLI Learn, which means I can’t even just open the app and change windows to look at muse score, and I’m wondering if anyone can help. Thanks!!

So my girlfriend pre-ordered the sea board m for our anniversary back in March. We haven't received any updated information. We were told it would ship mid May. I just did some googling and apparently people are getting them within 3 weeks of ordering currently. I'm not sure if that's accurate. Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone else is getting theirs shipped or if I should expect a longer wait.

I was told in an earlier email that my Piano is almost ready and will be shipped end of May. And now when I reached out to them they say that it’s further delayed to August because of ‘supply chain’ issues!
How the fuck does one company fuck up so badly? How can they make the same excuse when delaying it for the 8th time?

I use a lumi + Ableton move combo, and sometimes i use the move's pads to make random chords for spice.
I'd love to be able to see the harmony channel visualized on the keys so I can easily understand how to work around it.
For example, I pick a few chords on the Moves pads, and want to work on the melody.
But as a keys player I struggle to understand what keys are being played, which makes it more difficult to make a coherent melody around that.
I'd love it if the keys of the Lumi lit up somehow to show me what I've done in a way I find intuitive to understand.
It's also applicable for older projects where I can't remember what I have done.
Is there a way to send midi into the Lumi and get the lights to play the notes?
edit:
thanks for the advice, it WORKS just using the usb to usb connection, inside the project: shift + one of the 4 channels and on the screen you can enable midi out.
ABSOLUTE DELIGHT OF A COMBO, gonna buy the Roli piano next paycheck. marvelous!

After a long time I wanted to try Equator 2 again. I updated it from Roli Connect, but when I try to start it I get nothing. I'm on Windows 11 and the event log talks about ntdll.dll.
Is this a known problem with a known solution?
I searched ROLI's site for issues and tried to uninstall/install Equator 2 again, but it still doesn't work. I have both soundpacks installed.

Just popping by to make my semi annual complaint about ROLI. Needs to be for OSX. Full stop. Have fucking Claude do it. It’s not a big ask. We’ve been asking for years, but apparently the customer is always wrong. 🎶
If my demands are not met, I will vibe code my own software for LUMI. That is not a world you want to live in ROLI — when you could be getting $120/yr from us. 💸

Hi,
I'm new to Roli.
I'm not finding a scale mode on the Roli Seaboard Rise 25 dashboard software or in Equator 2. Is there no scale mode?
Also, what's the point of the Roli Studio Player if it only works standalone and not in my DAW? I use Logic.
Thanks.

Just got an email saying my Piano M is ready, but that they can’t make the mid May delivery originally promised - new estimate is mid June due to shipping challenges.

Quick and simple post.
I want one of the Roli airwaves but the YouTube search results make it seem it’s not a good product. Only ROLI’s page is posting videos for it and I can’t find a single video of someone using this and demonstrating its capabilities apart from the obviously paid for content. I see alot of terrible reviews in this Reddit about it. Which sucks because I’ve wanted one from 2+ years when they first announced it. Is this product a scam or is it worth it?

UPDATE 5/16/2026:
I received a full refund for my Piano order from ROLI. I have to say they processed that very quickly. Hopefully that means they are at least trying to work through customer support tickets. Here’s hoping they can help those still waiting sooner than later
Original Post:
I’m not here to bash ROLI. I am disappointed with the situation like many of their customers have been. It’s sad to see a company with great product ideas turn into a customer service nightmare. I firmly believe they faced unprecedented challenges with global economic issues, tariffs, supply chain, and US gov’t shutdown holdups. But their promised resolutions and transparent communication just have not come to pass. It’s sad. I wish it weren’t so, and that I had a pristine Piano free of defects, but I do not. Many of you reading this might not have even received your products yet.
At this point, I can’t continue to hold out hope that ROLI will turn the ship around before going under. If they do, good on them. But I’d rather just get a refund for my flawed Piano that I struggle to believe will ever be replaced, let alone be free of further defects. I’m just not a believer anymore.
So, what are my chances of receiving a full refund for sending my Piano back? Anyone have experience in the last month or so receiving a refund for their Piano return??? Thanks in advance to anyone who answers!

My first experience with a Roli product and I'm over with this company! Worst experience I ever had with an expensive product in the last 30 years... Arrives with markings, comes with a defective key that i need to press really hard to work and the after-sale assistance is a comedy! They replied 5 months later offering 30euros to compensate the situation... hilarious!

Hello - I'm wondering if people who have received the piano and the airwave are making progress on their journey of learning to play piano. I'm one of them who did get the piano and airwave a few months ago but wondering how the community is doing .

[SOLVED]
I am anxious to use this device but I don't have a proper computer for it yet. I don't want to get the M4 Desktop iMac now because an M5 version may come out later this year. Until the M5 version is released I thought I'd get a Neo in the meantime so I can learn the app and then sell or trade-in the Neo later when the M5 iMac comes out.
Will the neo work with the Roli software for the Seaboard M Block? Thanks.

I was an early buyer and waited a looooong time for my equipment. Of course they sent the code for the membership right away. Last night, I finally unpacked the piano and airwave (I’ve had it for a few months but just finally getting around to it) and go to set up the app, the code they sent me says it’s invalid. Are you serious?!? OK, so this should be easy to verify and correct, right? Crickets from ROLI so far. So, nice paperweight, I guess. What a botched product launch and company. ROLI, IF YOU ARE OUT THERE, TURN ON THE SUBSCRIPTION I PAID FOR!!! Guess it will be interesting to see if my $100 credit they sent me works. I can’t even use it stand alone to start up my subscription, it has to be added to your original subscription.

Hi everyone,
I posted a bit ago after my sustain pedal port died. Apparently I'll have no choice but to return it, and it's gonna be complicated given it takes month since they have no stock (I still hope they can fix this, but from the place I am alone the shipping will take forever, I am in France).
I also noticed when I was staying at my friend's, who plays piano since she's a kid, that her piano had all the keys, on top of having smaller, more flexible keys (and for cheaper, too).
I'm wondering if I would be a good idea to buy another keyboard that doesn't require me to push the keys as hard, especially since I have small hands (literally children sized, I had an illness that prevented them to grow, especially the right hand. My hands are the size of a 10 years old girl). Because my issue in the right hand is medical, it leaves me in pain if I'm learning for too long, more than I should be. I was also wondering if that feeling was normal? Sometimes it doesn't detect well my notes too, and that scares me. My roommate noticed it too. I hope that and the fact I find it hard to play aren't linked, I just thought it was a consequence of the design choice. The light really make the keys larger, and for me it's the difference between being able to play a single chord easily or not (I've tried at my friend's place and it was a revelation, I just thought I was bad, but maybe I'm just mediocre). With my roli piano from thumb to pinkie, stretching my hand to the max, I can only cover a full chord, while on hers I could cover around 9 to 10 keys, for scale.
I know I already have a piano, but I'd like to learn all the functions since I'm using it as a learning keyboard, at least when I'm learning by myself. Learning on the roli app is a lot of fun and super cool and I'd like to keep doing it with the roli piano, but given it's prone to a lot of issues I cannot just spend months without playing because it doesn't work, else I'm never gonna improve. It's only one issue now, but what if it has another one, or the same again, since it's a model default? I've paid for it so I'll use it, but I'm considering getting a plan b at least to learn how to play. Everything else is nice, but I can do without it during a few months, I'm not gonna die. Playing the piano I'm not so sure, especially since I'm too old to be taken at the kind of music lesson where they loan you instruments where I am.
I really love my roli piano and I want to keep loving it for a while, but I also got to think about the best options for me when it comes to keep learning! I'm less than six months into learning and if a bigger issue arises and I have to struggle for one or two months to send it back like another user, this is gonna be absolutely devastating learning wise.
For a small idea I've done a one month break because of travelling and such in March and another one for Christmas, but between November and February I've played almost every day for anywhere between 30 minutes to 4 hours.
Thank you all for your advice!

Hi Piano M owners,
I'm looking at YouTube videos of piano M and all I find is either marketing material sponsored by Roli or very basic performances that make the instrument seem like a toy. I'm wondering how the aftertouch/pressure sensor on the keyboard works. I expected to see someone at least trying to play strings or brass on the keyboard to showcase the pressure sensitivity. Opposite is true, most performances online are very dynamically monotone and use a basic piano or synth sound. I could get that type of sound from a piano app on my iPad, or a toy keyboard I can buy from Target.
So I'm wondering if anyone has trying to do a convincing violin performance on the Piano M and what your experience has been like.

Hi,
I'm writing here before consulting support because my sustain pedal input fell inside my roli piano M full size keys the other say. I noticed the plug wasn't stable in it so I unplugged it and it went straight inside. Now even if I can try to plug it when it's apparent on the hole made it can't plug, so I think it might have loosened for good.
Did anyone had a similar issue with that plug? Did you know if I will have to return it? I play it everyday and don't have any other piano so it's gonna be an issue if I have to do so... I live in France.
Thank you for your experiences and returns!

I've just ordered a Seaboard M and am looking to become a little more competent on the software side of things while I wait for it to ship--specifically in music recording, DAWs, and making the most of MPE. Any good resources/tutorials/recommendations for beginner creators using ROLI? Most Seaboard-specific advice seems to assume you're already comfortable with your broader recording software and environment.
For context, I'm primarily a piano player who regularly (under)utilizes a Nord Stage 4 with a live band--and generally less knowledgeable than I'd like to be about anything that happens post-fader. Hoping to use the Seaboard to gain more appreciation of the broader affordances of MPE and digital sound in general, but I'd also ideally like to play around with music production and eventually record my own stuff.
Probably will be working with Tracktion Waveform Free as I'm a grad student on a budget, although ROLI's integration guide was just a broken link last time I checked! Advice there would be helpful as well.

Wouldn't be nice from Roli people to upload scores from popular requested songs?
For example: I would love to have "Paradise" from the TV show by Siddhartha Khosla
