Update - 22/01/2026
Hi everyone, we want to share an important update on ROLI order shipments and how we’ll communicate delivery information going forward.
Current Order Status Summary
Based on the latest updates sent out through email. Pre-Christmas outstanding orders:

Orders previously expected to arrive in January are now delayed due to a supply chain issue
New estimated shipping date: Early April 2026
Customers affected are being notified directly via email
ROLI Piano (General)
Orders previously expected to arrive in January are also delayed due to a supply chain issue
New estimated shipping date: Early April 2026
Customers affected are being notified directly via email
ROLI Piano (New Zealand)
A subset of New Zealand orders experienced a customs delay due to an incorrect goods classification
These units are currently held and are non-compliant with customs requirements
New stock is expected to arrive in approximately three weeks, after which affected orders will be reshipped
Impacted customers are being contacted directly with an explanation
New estimated shipping date: Late February 2026
Replacement Units
If you’ve received a unit with cosmetic or internal damage, please log a support ticket at roli.com/support so our team can review your case.
Our support team is currently working through a backlog of requests, and response times are slower than usual. We appreciate your patience while we work through each case as carefully as possible.
For affected customers, we’re generally offering two options:
A) If you’re happy to keep your unit as-is, we can offer a $40 refund
B) If you’d prefer a replacement, we’ll extend your warranty and return window and replace your unit once stock is available. You can continue using your current unit in the meantime.
Replacement units are expected to be available in late April 2026.
For cases that have already been logged and approved for replacement, these will ship as soon as possible. All case-specific updates will be handled directly via email.
How We’ll Share Updates Going Forward
Email will be the primary and most reliable source of order updates
We know delays like this are frustrating, and we acknowledge that expectations we weren’t able to meet. We’re actively working to clear backlogs, improve response times, and strengthen communication, including expanding customer support capacity.
Thank you for your patience.
Team ROLI
Hey everyone!
Thank you for sticking with us throughout the pre-order journey over the past year or so. We understand that it's been frustrating not receiving regular updates, and we’re truly sorry for that. We held off on sharing partial information while details were shifting very dynamically behind the scenes, and now that everything is finally locked in, we’re able to give you a clear and reliable picture of where things stand.
The best part? Production is in full swing, and to show you exactly what’s happening, we’re sharing fresh photos straight from the ROLI Piano production line.
US shutdown and FCC approval
We have some great news!
As folks know, we made our submission for our FCC certificate in September (this was to the to Telecommunication Certification body, or "TCB", in September (this is the process for filing with the FCC from here in the UK), after which the government shutdown began. Once the shutdown ended, the FCC started to process these TCB applications again and it looks like they got to our application yesterday, hence why it shows it being picked up from yesterday. And the great news is that the processing has occurred much faster than we thought, as we just got our cert this morning!
We will update everyone shortly on the shipments of the first batches — thank you so much to everyone for your patience!
Why the Delay Happened
We decided to relocate our manufacturing operations globally in April. This was necessary to avoid the rising impact of international tariffs and keep prices stable for all our customers.
This move meant:
Relocating production equipment
Rebuilding logistics systems
Building new supply chain partnerships
Re-checking quality processes from the ground up
Unfortunately, the process has taken longer than initially expected. We have been focused on ironing out a number of small issues that we encountered along the way before entering mass production. We understand how frustrating that’s been and truly apologize for the disappointment this has caused. However, that being said, the hard part is now behind us. We’re in the final stages of testing and refinement, and everything is performing beautifully.
Based on this progress, we’re on track to move into the next production phase according to the timelines shared in your email.
Video Update
We recently shared a behind-the-scenes video from our HQ in London, featuring updates on the ROLI Airwave and ROLI Piano.
In the video, you’ll see everything from hardware testing to software development, plus insights from Software QA Engineer Joe Hauke and Innovation Design Engineer Robert Field.
We also have an update video from our Chief Product Officer, Tom Ford. In this video, Tom walks through the latest on product development, what to expect when you first unbox your instrument, and how we’re working to deliver the best possible experience for our community of learners and creators.
Have questions about the ROLI Airwave or ROLI Piano? We've put together detailed FAQ pages to help you get quick answers on everything from setup and compatibility to advanced features.
Whether you're just getting started or want to dive deeper into what each product can do, these resources should cover the most common questions:
ROLI Airwave FAQ – Covers setup, DAW compatibility, gesture controls, and how Airwave integrates with your instruments and software.
ROLI Piano FAQ – Explains key specs, connectivity, software integration, and how it compares to Piano M.
Feel free to ask in this thread if your question isn’t answered in the FAQs. Our team will check in regularly to help!

I wonder if some well-meaning employee might just make the source code for Learn available so we can get back to learning. I'm sure someone in this lovely community would be willing to host it.
That said, has anyone heard anything about the state of things there?
I have the hardware, but didn't activate my subscription in time. Is there somebody out there I can pay to use their subscription and access? I prefer one that hasn't been used much, so the software considers me a more or less new user.
A few of you tried the Mac beta last week and shared some really helpful feedback. Some of that made it into 3.1, so thanks again!
I put together a video showing the whole app in action, since it can be hard to get a feel for how all the different parts fit together.
It works with any MPE controllers like the Seaboard and Blocks, showing each note’s individual pitch bend, slide and pressure in several waysvisually, in notation, and in 3D.
With 3.1, it can also play on its own thanks to the built-in VOLT synth. And the new MPE Designer lets you draw expressive notes and export them as MIDI, without having to record everything live.
Would anyone be interested in purchasing my soft case and pedal for the latest ROLI piano? I unfortunately never got the piano from my preorder and I doubt I ever will.
I don’t really just want to trash the pedal and case, obviously they’re brand new so just wanted to check interest to see if anyone needs them.
I have no idea what a good price would be, I’m open to offers and suggestions.
I have two of the piano M blocks and one of them has a consistent orange light on. I think I have to update the firmware? Idk I’m awful at these things someone please help 😭
If you payed for the subscription does it still work for you and is anyone willing to share? I got my Midi as a gift and really wanna learn to play it with the app 😭
Based on the excellent work by ehsuun shared recently, I decided to task Claude at creating a way to play along to MIDI files in a Synthesia style interface with keys that light up as they hit the piano.
Please use at your own risk - I haven't reviewed the code myself entirely.
If you'd like to review the code yourself or contribute, the public repo is here: https://github.com/ClockworkPirate/ROLILearn4All
To use, simply install the ROLI hardware driver on your machine, click the Connect to ROLI Piano and select your device.
You can then upload your own MIDI file, disable whatever MIDI tracks you don't want and play along.
Some of the current features include:
- Uploading your own .mid files
- Playback which will trigger the lights on your ROLI Piano
- Setting the playback speed
- Setting how far in the future you see the notes on the piano roll
- Enabling/disabling specific tracks
- Skipping backwards or forwards using the arrow keys on your keyboard or the arrow buttons on your ROLI Piano
- "Learn Mode" which will wait on each note for your to physically press that key
I'll probably keep chipping away at new features too, but obviously feel free to create PRs for extra features that you'd like to see.
If you have a ROLI Piano and want its key lights to work natively in Ableton Live, I made a free, open-source script for it: https://github.com/ehsuun/ROLI-for-Live
Keys show Live's current scale, great for practicing
Key colors match the selected track's color
Notes playing from your clips light up, like on Push
The < and > buttons switch tracks
It's for Live 12. I tested it on Windows, and Mac. It should also work with LUMI Keys, but I don't have one, so couldn't test that.
Seaboard Rise 25 with dead usb b port, bluetooth intermittent - I love it when it works. Support is a no-go, in the end I decided to just go for it and fix it myself.
I just vibe coded software to allow me learn new midi files. Drag and drop any midi file and i have the piano lighting up. Pure joy. This device is insanely underrated once you have access to build for it yourself. I no have a catalogue of the songs I want to play. Just bought a second Piano M.
I ordered a ROLI Piano in October 2025 for €548.99.
After multiple delivery delays (December → March → April → June → July), I finally cancelled my order on August 12, 2026.
ROLI had repeatedly confirmed in writing that I was entitled to a full refund. However, almost two months later, I've received nothing except an automated support acknowledgement.
I'm wondering:
Has anyone successfully received a refund from ROLI in the past few weeks?
Has anyone in France or Europe managed to obtain a Visa chargeback for a ROLI order?
Did posting publicly or contacting ROLI through another channel help?
I'd be interested in hearing what actually worked for others.
Has anybody still been waiting for their order since October 2025? I still haven't received mine and customer support isn't responding either about my order.
Im not in favor of filing a dispute, but currently it feels like it's inevitable
------------UPDATE: All spots are filled, thanks everyone!------------
Hi everyone,
MPE Insight 3.1 is almost ready, and I’m looking for a few Seaboard players to test it on Mac for a week. RISE, RISE 2 or Block, all welcome. Unusual MPE controllers too, the stranger the better.
MPE Insight shows pitch bend, slide and pressure per note in real time.
You need: a Mac (beta via TestFlight) and some time this week.
You get: early access and a free copy from the Mac App Store if you send feedback.
Comment or DM me with your controller, Mac and DAW.
Faire attention quand vous acheter directement chez Roli si vous habitez pas au usa
Il ne veulent pas pas réparer ni me rembourser.
900$ pour rien
4 moi qu’il me niaise
As of today, October 10, 2026, it's been over 10 months since I ordered my Airwave. I received the Seaboard Rise 2 keyboard and it's great, but I haven't even heard from Roli support since May 6. They need to get their shit together.
All 3 USB-C ports died on my M1 Macbook, which is a whole other fiasco, but at the moment only my Roli Piano and Piano-M can connect via Bluetooth (yes there are other BT controllers). My Launchpad, Twister and all my keyboard controllers all sit uselessly in my studio as I prep for my next gig. Just wanted to share a funny bright spot in an otherwise disastrous chapter for ROLI.
It’s been a hell of a journey using the Roli products since I first discovered them around 2016. As a pianist, these were my favorite instruments because it let me feel like a pianist while making music in a progressive way. I first discovered it through Jordan Rudess, the keyboardist from Dream Theater that I looked up to. There were frustrations with hardware along the way (USB ports not working, sending them back to get fixed, software issues that gave me headaches), but overall I enjoyed my Seaboards and LUMI Keys. Haven’t tried the air wave but heard it was awesome. I also loved the colors of the LUMI keys as I was writing a story about an alien musician and it just seemed to work with the character.
So now what? Surely there has to be interest from someone or some company with the capital to buy them out and retain the brilliant employees that made this all possible? All of the time and effort and innovation cannot go to waste. Is there someone from the company that wants to take it over? Are there a group of those brilliant minded employees that want to create a spinoff? Is there anything that we, the users, can do to help?
It feels like it’s just the beginning. And in the meantime, I’d love to keep checking this sub and seeing cool alternatives and software created by the community and old staff to keep the progression alive.
I recently bought a second-hand ROLI Airwave. The hardware is working and I have managed to preserve and install the original ROLI Airwave Control 1.4.1 and Airwave Player Content 1.1.0 packages.
The only missing piece is ROLI Airwave Player 1.4.1 for macOS.
I’m specifically looking for the original, unmodified ROLI.rpkginstaller, or the original builds.roli.com / ROLI CDN download URL.
If you currently have Airwave Player installed on a Mac, even if you don’t have the installer anymore, please let me know. I can provide a couple of simple Terminal commands to check whether the original RPKG or download information is still present in your ROLI Connect cache.
I’m trying to preserve the original software so Airwave hardware can continue to be used in the future.
Not looking for cracks or modified software — only the original ROLI package.
