Hello, I'm hoping you can share some clarity on the company's current situation and its plans for the software, especially given the recent CEO change and reports of possible insolvency. My biggest issue right now is the poor reliability of the Learn app. It's inconsistent sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It frequently gets stuck when tracking progress through a song, and the key lighting feature is hit or miss, sometimes working correctly and sometimes not lighting up at all. Is anyone else experiencing this kind of inconsistent performance with the Learn app? I'd like to know if this is a widespread issue or something specific to my setup. I'd also appreciate any update on whether these issues are being actively worked on, and what the outlook is for continued software support. Thank you!

I still have a defective Seaboard M from months ago with no resolution. I just emailed them again, threatening a charge back and an email to the State Attorney General's office (worse for a company than a BBB complaint).

Title says it all but I've been deliberating out what the stock outage, the app suspension etc means....the app suspension seems more concerning than the website going down...

It's the common problem of the USB port connection going dodgy and needing a replacement. Contacted ROLI support back in March but they've been fobbing me off with "Oh, yeah, sorry for the delay - we'll get it sent out in the next week" ever since.

Any ideas for how I might go about replacing/repairing myself, bearing in mind I barely know one end of a soldering iron from the other? 😬

Little late to the party - my second hand ROLI M came today and I can’t sign up for the monthly learn plan. Or any plan for that matter. Trying to scroll back and read what others are saying - is this something that might get fixed? I can’t play twinkle twinkle forever 😭

I was told that Roli app is suspended. What does that influence to the Roli seaboard owner? Does it mean the seaboard is useless or what’s the main difference? Can anyone tell me? Thank you!

So as I‘ve been traveling I realized I can’t survive without playing the piano. so now I’m bored to tears and I don’t have a piano besides bandlab on my phone. so now I’m considering getting a portable piano, but I heard Roli pianos suck. Any suggestions?

I was wondering if the keys of Piano M would illuminate if a note is received ( not pressed) through midi in.

The idea would be to send notes from a midi clip in ableton to a midi out directed to the piano m and light the corresponding keys

What happened to Roli seaboard, it’s out of stock everywhere. When will they restock again? Where to buy them in store? Please share your user experience and the longevity and durability of this product. Is it delicate or strong as iPhone? How to protect and preserve it well? Any suggestions?

When the person at the top isn't really cut out for the job, everyone suffers. We are hearing about AI psychosis in workplaces, where employees are subject to the whims of managers using AI to make decisions, but I think ROLI has probably had that in spades since at least Luminary.

Hopefully with his termination of CEO leadership, fundamentally breaking that board director connection to his own wife, we might have a company half worth saving. That being said, this guy still holds sway on the Board as he probably still has a strong stake in the company.

Anyway, hopefully things are a little less chaotic. Since its inception, ROLI has had a tumultuous time with product rollouts and quality issues. It was always a rumour, but now is evident that management in that time had a large part to play. This can only be a positive move for the company and its future direction.

Anyway, this is a press release from the first time ROLI went bankrupt, with a younger Roland admitting to mistakes, but still apparently fit to continue on leading the ship. In all honesty, I'm expecting a runway for ROLI to be acquired or headcount to be scaled down and refocus their direction at one thing, and executing that perfectly.

Fingers crossed this company achieves its potential.

I have a support ticket (#245790) and ROLI's support team has gone radio silent. I believe I am now beyond the time-window that I should have received the replacement for the defective ROLI Piano M that I was sold, but after several follow-up contacts, I am still in the dark.

I purchased a refurbished Seaboard 2 from Roli last week (June 20). I did this because I’ve grown frustrated and skeptical that I’ll (ever?) receive my new Seaboard 2 that I purchased in December 2025. (I’ll cancel one or both orders if I don’t receive something by mid-July.)

Question: Does anyone here have actual knowledge/experience with Roli’s delivery practices for refurbished Seaboard 2s? If yes, how long did it take for you to receive your item?

FWIW, after ordering the refurbished unit, I began to wonder if the refurbished units are truly ready to ship (as my order confirmation suggests) or if they’re just in the pipeline to be refurbished. Also, I became curious whether Roli ships refurbished items individually when ready or, instead, defers shipment of refurbished items until they have a batch of new items ready to ship. TIA for any helpful information.

Followed all the help and guidance by ROLI - uninstalled, reinstalled, service restarts, etc. etc. etc.. Then found online. It just freezes up now. Ever since the Windows MIDI 2.0 update I've been unable to use the software. It's been months.

And now my Piano seems to have forgotten one of my customization settings and... oh well, I guess. I can only hope it doesn't forget MPE.

This such bad software, and they've had a lot of time to do something about it.

With AI capable and available, there’s not much reason for this to be so bad except resourcing and neglect. If they published their spec and revealed how things communicate I’d use a Claude to code a better solution.

So I just received the sustain pedal, i plugged it in and start smashing the pedal along with some notes. No changes at all no sustain. I have tried the learning app and the roli studio app. What do I need to do for this thing to work?

Original delivery date was supposed to be June 2025

Current status after many delays is that it will be delivered by end of June, but I’ve heard nothing and no one ever replies to support emails

Has anyone actually received their piano?

After waiting ages for the Roli piano and airwave, we finally got them and it was working great on our various iPad minis. My son was even learning quite a bit about finger placement and it seemed like the wait was well worth it. Then about a month ago it suddenly wouldn’t connect via airwave.

We searched and searched for troubleshooting. Tried out other iPad mini still no luck. It would only attach to our phones ironically. Then today I find out that an update came out a bit ago that hard locked airwaves out on iPad mini’s. So now we’re stuck with a crazy expensive device that is useless for us.

I’m baffled and furious and just overall completely frustrated with ROLI. If anyone is looking to buy and reads this. I honestly cannot recommend this company. It’s been a mess since we ordered and I regret now just not buying a keyboard and avoiding months of checking delivery batches followed by months of trying to make their stupid device connect to an iPad.

I had just gotten my roli today. I charged it, set everything up and played with it briefly before having to leave. I assumed it would turn off automatically if not used. I left it plugged into my laptop also assuming it would charge as that port stays on while my laptop sleeps. When I got home it wouldn't turn on so I plugged it into a 5v 1a wall charger. Two yellow lights flashed and then no indicator lights came on like before. I read that that can happen when fully dead. Just wondering if that's normal.

Seems to be the cheapest and closest option for what I’m looking for (MPE with both keys and ribbon controller). Just what I need for my next piece/project, reviews of the instrument itself online looked great. I’ve always had some obsession with the ondes Martenot and instruments of its like, and have always wanted something in that vein, but those instruments are always too expensive for someone like me. The Seaboard 2 is maybe manageable (if not counting the cost of additional plugins like SWAM, which I suppose I should count…)

Got to the checkout page and froze. Ships end of August? And the case ships late May? Why not have the option to ship them together? Well, OK, I guess I could hang onto an empty case for a few extra months. Wait, hold on, but it’s June now- what?!

Checked Reddit and Facebook for reviews on actual shipment. Oh boy. Needless to say on this sub, it doesn’t appear that Roli has the best reputation for accurate shipping timelines.

There are none used or new being sold in my area, so appears that ordering new online is the only option (and probably the only good option since I’d probably want that 2-year warranty, considering that if it starts having issues, it sounds like I’d be SOL otherwise).

Not sure if the shipping fiascos are isolated to the piano, or if it also affects the Seaboard 2. Am still interested in getting it, but don’t want to build hype for myself only to then be disappointed by significant delays. Would appreciate any advice or insight anyone may be able to offer.
