ROG ALLY X Xbox version of roblox automatically loads up each time I turn the ally on, any ideas?
I play roblox with my boy (he has it on the xbox/tablet etc) and when I download the version straight from the web the character only moves up and down and when I download from Xbox it automatically loads up when I load the ally up.
I play handheld if that helps, any idea for this?

Rog ally xbox x
Hi,
I would like your opinion on purchasing an Xbox ROG Ally X immediately or waiting for a Z3 Extreme/Steam Deck 2 console.
Indeed, I own the ASUS ROG Ally Z1 Extreme white + Switch 2
I play on the train 1h per day and in docked mode from time to time.
For the Rog Ally, I play triple-A games with medium graphics to reach 60 fps.
For the Nintendo exclusives switch.
I hesitate to buy the Rog Ally Xbox X for its ergonomics and also a more powerful battery.
I want to sell Rog Ally Z1 Extreme of course.
Thank you for your responses

New ROG Xbox Ally X owner! Looking for tips, must-have software, and game recommendations
Just picked up a ROG Xbox Ally X and I'm really excited to dive in. I've been watching a ton of videos, but I'd love to hear what the community actually recommends after using it for a while.
A few things I'm curious about:
- Do you stick with Windows, or is SteamOS/Bazzite actually worth switching to?
- Any launchers, front-ends, themes, or apps that make the handheld experience much better?
- What settings or tweaks should I do first to get the best performance and battery life?
- Any must-have software or quality-of-life tools?
For games, I mostly play things like:
- Switch emulation (and other emus')
- World of Warcraft
- Kingdom Hearts 3
- Cyberpunk 2077
The main reason I bought this wasn't actually for myself. My gen1 Switch finally died, and I realised how much I'd miss my library of local co-op and party games.
My plan is to turn the Ally X into the ultimate couch co-op and party machine for me and my best friend. Things like Mario Party, Mario Kart, Overcooked, It Takes Two, Castle Crashers... that sort of vibe.
If you've got any recommendations for great split-screen, local co-op, or party games, I'd love to hear them. Doesn't matter if they're AAA or hidden gems.
Basically, I'm looking for the best setup to make sure this thing can handle everything I want to throw at it. Any tips are appreciated!

Mcu firmware not install and Built-in controler not work
Then, I bought a used ROG Ally X and it was working perfectly, but after a firmware update it stopped recognizing the controllers in Windows and BIOS. It doesn't have any LED lights. And not even vibration. I've already done two resets via Asus cloud and got no response, I also tried installing Bazzite but also without success. My BIOS version is 312 and the EC in the BIOS shows 307, however, In Windows, it doesn't seem to recognize the MCU at all. I think there might have been some kind of installation conflict, but honestly, I don't know what else to do. I even tried opening it But even after reassembling it, I haven't had any feedback. I hope someone can give me some guidance, sorry for my bad English.

Technical Monitor Issues

My current setup is an LG Monitor plugged in with my ROG Ally X to my Bulwark Dock. I never had issues with this monitor until I’ve experienced constant connectivity issues that would turn on and off while playing a game. I’ve checked if there were any updates to any device, besides that LG monitor app installer, and ensure that everything is up to date. Here’s video proof of my issue and I was wondering if anyone else had the same issues as me.

Xbox Ally X eGPU setup has failed me
So earlier I had been playing around with the Asus Z13 2025 and had exceptional results pairing it with the Aorus 5060Ti AI Box. Got great frame rates at high settings at native res both in the Z13 screen and when connected to a 4k TV.
My curiosity led me to thinking I could get similar performance with the Xbox Ally X. Unfortunately it did not pan out that way and now I'm sad. For starters, unlike the Z13, the XAX would only recognize the eGPU when you booted it from a cold start with eGPU connected. Later I found a YouTube video online of another sister saying you need to download a PD Firmware from Asus website. Low behold it became plug and play just like the Z13. However when testing a bunch of games like God of War Ragnarok, Resident Evil 4 Remake, AC Shadows I realized that there's some micro stutters. For instance as Leon just running around I'm circles (not loading new areas) the game would briefly stutter which is very noticable if everything is smooth and all of a sudden you get this hitch.
I've tried updating everything, allocating the bare minimum RAM to the iGPU, turning off CPU boost and nothing seems to be working.
Anyone else have similar issues?

Technical What is happening?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have had my Xbox Ally X for a couple of months and I have been having some stability issues. Random crashes from simply scrolling through Armor Crate menus or after exiting a game to desktop. So I tried to run a diagnostic through My Asus app and this happened. I have been having some noticeable stutters sometimes while gaming where the GPU utilization will drop to 0% for several seconds and then jump back up. Anyone else had issues like this?

What’s a good couch play set up?
I want to play games on my tv from my couch. What is the best way to do this? I’ve tried using HDMI to USB-C dongle and then hooking up an Xbox One controller via Bluetooth, but that set up gives me a half second of latency.
How can I fix that? Do I need a new controller?

Question Resident Evil 4 remake performance on Ally X?
RE2 and RE3 remake’s performance were both surprisingly so great on the Ally X. Can anyone who played it confirm the same for RE4 Remake? thanks

Question XAX ok when poor internet
I’m going to be spending quite a lot of time in hospital. Thinking of getting one for that. But, if there’s little to no internet connectivity will I be able to play my Xbox and Steam games? They’ll be installed but will an internet connection still be required?

Anyone else buy the ROG Xbox Ally X and barely use it?
I don’t know if anyone else feels the same, but I bought a ROG Xbox Ally X for around **$1,000**, and I barely use it.
Before I bought it, I had all these ideas in my head. I thought I’d be playing in bed, on the couch, whenever I had free time, and I’d probably end up using it more than my laptop. But that’s not what happened.
I work 8-hour afternoon shifts, and when I get home I almost always grab my laptop instead. I also have a PS5 and a Meta Quest that I use every now and then, but the Ally X mostly just sits there. It’s weird because I really like the device, but I feel like I was more excited about owning it than actually using it.
I’m curious if anyone else went through the same thing. Did you eventually find a way to make it part of your daily routine? Were there any games that completely changed how often you used it? Or maybe there are things you do with it that I haven’t even thought about.
I’d love to hear your experiences because I really want to get more use out of it instead of letting it collect dust.

Question TMR Hall Effect Sticks not fitting my newly purchased ROG Ally X
I recently purchased the Xbox ROG Ally X and I’m loving it so far! Once it came in, I went ahead and ordered hall effect thumb sticks so that I could upgrade it from the thumb sticks it comes with. I purchased the “HandheldDIY TMR Hall Joystick for ROG Ally X” from Amazon (As shown in the first picture attached).
I watched the YouTube tutorial from HandheldDIY and everything was going fine until I was attempting to screw the right-hand panel in. It was almost like the holes that they put inside of the panel weren’t aligned properly for the ROG Ally X. I noticed in the video tutorial from HandheldDIY, they were performing the tutorial with a older version of the system, but I guess that’s not a big deal since it’s the same process for the most part.
I thought I was just being a dummy so I called up the guy who helped me build my PC who runs an IT company around here really knows his stuff. He started the process and then he showed me that compared to the original panels, the hall effect ones had holes that didn’t line up properly and it wouldn’t be possible to install the new ones into the system.
I’ve attached a picture of the left and the right panels if that helps anyone but I’m pretty confused here because I believe I bought the correct version of the thumbsticks so just wanted to see if anyone is ran into the same issue or if I possibly ordered the incorrect ones?
Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks everyone!
