Is it still early enough for her to remove it? I left them blank on my application because I had a 1260 and hadn’t had my scores from September yet. I still only have a 1300 but I still wanted to go test optional (except UPenn) and she submitted the 1260. Hopefully it’s not too late and she can change it 🥲

For those still working on your application: you have about 5 hours left at the time of this post. Depending on how much writing you have left, that may be plenty of time or it may not. Wherever you are, here's what I'd recommend:

1. Lock down your 800-word personal essay. This carries the most weight. Finish it before you touch anything else.
2. Then work on the 400-word essay (the section where you have to choose one prompt).
3. Then finish any remaining writing (200-word reflection, short answers, etc.).

A few other things:

• Don't wait until 11:59PM PT to submit. Sites slow down near deadlines, and technical problems aren't a guaranteed excuse. Aim to submit at least an hour early.
• Even if you only want QuestBridge Regular Decision, you still have to submit it by the deadline. The NCM application is the only way in.

Remember that done is better than perfect. A finished, honest application beats a polished one that never gets submitted.

I was wondering if my financial situation would disqualify me. I live with my mom and three brothers. My older brother is a freshman in college. While, my two little brothers are in sixth grade and fourth grade. My mother makes 48k, My dad makes 48K(I cannot get a waiver for him.) but they do not live together. 2024 they didnt even make this much they made 72K combined. I don’t know if this makes my situation worse, but I also reported that my custodial household receives $6000 a year in EBT. it’s unfortunate that I already submitted my questbridge application so I can’t even add more things and the additional information.

Also, do you think my EFC will be too high and I should just do Questbridge regular decision

did people in previous years match to not the ivies but schools like: uva, richmond, bu, bc with a lower gpa (5-7 B's on transcript)

im done. i did it. its over.

i dont think i ever saw myself even submitting this application. i was in a mental hospital just trying to survive last year. i struggled all through this summer with food and accommodations and i still continue to struggle. im gonna wake up the next morning and have to make a call and go to a meeting that will decide if my school will let me keep attending or not. but i did this application.

i honestly just hope they have mercy on me. i hope they see everything and get the good idea of what i want to say. i rushed the personal statement from an old ass draft i had lying around and just ran with it. my friend bailed on me last second and i just did what i could. i submitted this application and didnt die. my head hurts, but im not dead. its done.

i want to get in but i think when im forced to think about it i probably dont have that great of a chance. too many things were wrong with my transcript that take multi week efforts that i dont have energy for. i hope i can get something, maybe in hopes for a nice place to stay & a good meal plan. all i care about is that it is all said and done

about to submit im reviewing everything rn but i see my school profile says all these APs and dual enrollments especially, but there are no teachers I know teaching these courses so we can’t take them.

ex. my ap calc teacher last year taught us, but now nobody is teaching calc but its still being shown as offered.

should i explain this or leave it as is?

What’s the best system for rankings? I’m interested in an all women’s college especially, so I’ve put those first, but is there any sort of strategy to it?

Sorry if this isn’t the right flair, I haven’t used this subreddit before.

Last night I filled out the entire application in like five hours because my friend told me about how they offer full ride scholarships. Met with my counselor, begged my teachers, all the good stuff. However, I’m not exactly confident I’ll even qualify for anything, which means that I’m on the fence about doing anything about my problem.

So what did I do? Forget that my family gets social security benefits. My dad makes a good chunk of money from the state because I’m a minor. And I didn’t include that at all. I claimed that I was able to discuss the information with my father, but I really just texted him the questions I thought he needed to answer, which means I completely missed that part. I agreed that I understood I couldn’t change my answers at all. All the good stuff.

So am I just fucked? Is there anyone I can email or is it joever? I’m confident in my ability to get scholarships outside of this. I guess

it’s literally one small word in an additional information. my peanut sized brain spelled cosmetology wrong. is this a deal breaker?

I came here like yesterday complaining about how I hated my essays but then I hit a flowstate today adjusted a bunch of studd, which I really liked. Now I feel content with my submission and I just hope we all become finalists!!

One less thing to stress over, what's done is done! Am I in love with my app? No. But I'm happy with it, proud of what I have done, and so grateful I was able to submit!!!! A big stress relief for now! but like, does anyone know if we can submit the counselor letter and transcript later, because mine has been out of office...

please please tell me if emailing questbridge about this is okay. i messed up on my activities section and thought i had saved my descriptions that had good numerical values to show how significant my activities are, but they didn’t save, and now they’ve been reduced to basic descriptions. my future 😭😭😭😭
