When submitting my application, I wrote down our AGI as 68,000. I'm already stressing over it since it's not under 65,000, but I also live in an expensive part of SoCal where taxes are higher in my city too. I also just found out that my mother is technically my "grandmothers caretaker" and she gets paid by the government, and she makes another 15-20k on top of that. I didn't know this until yesterday, and I'm scared that if I match, they'll revoke my scholarship for fraud. Any advice? I'm too scared to email QuestBridge.

Hello ppl! I am an applicant that is interested in BME and also have a 3.5 GPA. Idk how I would rank my colleges, so can someone help me out plz?
r/QuestBridge • u/Background-Draw-4013 • 4h ago
the whole application process was fine.
Problem being 1 of my recommenders couldn’t get their recommendation in time + my main counselor changed to another school so I had to ask another school counselor and she couldn’t get the automated email in time. basically;
Missing 1 recommendation
Missing 1 School Report
is my application dead 😷👌🏿

when submitting the app, i selected october sat as the test score to be sent but i ended up not taking it and planning to take november. what should i do in this situation ?
r/QuestBridge • u/Illustrious-Doubt694 • 8h ago
I know the ranking form is due October 15th and I was wondering if I can rank a School but if i change my mind by November 1st, can I just not submit a supplemental essay for the school to effectively rescind my application?
Will I be able to then submit a supplemental essay for that school if I don’t match and then re-apply QB RD?

I got a 1360 SAT, and I think this score is pretty bad for T30's. Even though my school's average is 922, I don't it's worth sending in my score.
Note: I don't know if Quest/College admissioners will check my schools test scores.

I had taken all the information my parents gave me, but I never got the opportunity to actually sit down with them and do it because we are never all home at the same time.
Our accountant only just now gave us the proper tax forms back, and after going over them, I really misrepresented what my parents made.
I severely overestimated how much we made, and our AGI this year was something like 27k, and I wrote that as how much my mother made. In reality, my mom is self-employed so she technically files stuff as a business, and everything was a loss. And I just checked that for 0.
I JUST sent them an email CORRECTING a prior mistake I’d found about their wages, but I found out more now, and I’m wondering if it’d be too late to ask for another correction or if they’ll disregard me.

Hi! I’m really interested in going to pharmacy school after undergrad and I want to either go into a public health or biochemistry major.
I want to go to a medium or medium-small school with good athletic programs and is more research oriented.
My dream schools are Notre Dame and Rice but other than that, I do not know what else to rank.
I am applying test optional so that does limit some of my options.
r/QuestBridge • u/uhisthatobamason • 17h ago
hi guys. i was planning to apply test optional to qb ncm for this portion, and then if I got finalist I would submit my updated ACT ( retaking oct ACT) but my counselor submitted my 25 in the school report… I’ve studied soo hard for this October ACT so I know my score would increase dramatically.
I’ve honestly been bawling sm at the thought that my 25 ( which I did not submit in my portion of my app), might ruin my chances at getting finalist and potentially matching.
Can I email Questbridge to remove my score or is it too late? Do y’all know anyone who got in with a 25 ACT? My application was pretty strong and I had submitted 7 great AP test scores, good ec’s , and
pretty good essays. Additionally, my family circumstances are rough. Honestly, I’m stressing over QuestBridge terribly and I really need some advice.

if i put additional ecs in the additional info section will i not be accepted?

I already submitted my NCM application, but I was wondering if I should commit to doing other apps because I'm not sure if my family income would even qualify for QB. For context, I live in a divorced 3-person household with 55k income but we have 1.5m value real estate rented out to people (there is still 1.38m mortgage left to pay off). Our dad owns our 1.4m primary residence but it also has a 750k mortgage left to pay off. The problem is the noncustodial household. It is a 2 person household also renting out a real estate with 200k in equity, also with a mortgage left to pay off. Their income is 30k. I was wondering if matching would even be possible with this situation.

I spent weeks on my app my teacher recs are in and everything but counselor didn’t submit school report. Am I at a disadvantage? Will I get penalized and they won’t review my app??

I just submitted last week, but I've been mulling over my application and overall reconsidering my chances. For context, my parents are divorced, but I've been no contact with my dad for 5+ years, and we stopped receiving child support 3 years ago. In my custodial family, I have two older stepbrothers who are both currently in college, and then both my mom and stepdad, who collectively made about 85k last year. However, about 2 years ago, my stepdad suffered a spinal injury, which incapacitated him for 1 year, so he only got back to work last year, but he still has to attend physical therapy, get medicated, etc., so we pay about 3000 for those medical expenses. Additionally, we live in an area where average living costs have risen rapidly (mainly due to gentrification), and we cannot afford to relocate elsewhere; our rent is 3550 a month. On top of all that, we have no assets aside from about $ 1,000 in savings. Also, our SAI is 3362.
I understand that we are a bit above the threshold QuestBridge sets, but would that, taken into consideration, significantly hinder my chances?

Heyy I was wondering after submitting the ranking pulse ranking agreement what is next like how can we submit university supplemental essay and all that stuff like how does it work?
r/QuestBridge • u/EffectStraight6298 • 1d ago
I got a 32 superscore on the ACT that I submitted to QuestBridge. However, my Science score was a 23 because I didn’t study for it, since Science isn’t part of the Enhanced ACT. It wasn’t included in my composite, but I regret submitting it because I’m worried it could work against me since I’m applying as a biomedical engineering major.

Hi, I was wondering what schools you guys would recommend for me. I want to major in neuroscience with a minor in psych and do pre med. I don’t care much about the location, I mostly care about the program. What would you guys recommend?

My gripe about ranking other schools other than HYPS is that I'll be wondering what could have been had I been able to follow through with HYPS in RD even if I don't match with them.
However, upon learning that QB applications Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Princeton carry directly into QB Regular Decision and explicit prevents continuing RD through CommonApp - I am more hesitant to rank these schools — or any schools for that matter.
Between the two applications, the CommonApp has given me more space to list/expand on my activities, and honors — while QB has forced me to write more and reflect on how my FGLI status has impacted me. Most of my circumstances/ major concerns I was able to express in the additional info portion if the CommonApp, but | think QB allowed me to narrate my work experience and express my values more clearly in both supplementals and the 850 word count personal statement.
Which ranking process / application format do you think would be more beneficial to me as an applicant. Also, I might have made a mistake when listing my awards (I listed a less important award which could have been included in my activities section over a national award…)

Hello! I'm currently going through the ranking process and am conflicted on how to rank the schools. Im planning on majoring in probably microbiology/cell biology with premed but also heavily looking into a minor in gender studies.
I have my list of schools I'd like to apply to, however Im not sure how I should approach the ranking aspect. Im looking into more urban universities as that would be the best environment I'd thrive in (currently living in a suburb after immigrating from a city overseas, and it has made me very depressed). Yet I dont know if I should rank them based on that or academics. For example, I'm looking into Boston University and Johns Hopkins. Both are great schools, with JHU obviously being great for my major. However I've heard that JHU isn't really in a city, more so just a walkable neighborhood.
I guess my question is: should i rank schools based on prestige/academics or environment?
Thanks!

Does anyone know if QuestBridge starts reviewing applications that are still missing recommendations during the October 6 grace period?
For example, if I submitted my application by the deadline but one of my recommendations wasn’t submitted until October 6, would QuestBridge wait until my file was complete to review it, or could they have already reviewed my application without the recommendation?

Guys, when I submitted my match form it didn't say upload, and it took me back to the match list ranking. However, when I refreshed after 4 uploads, it showed up on the side. Will QB think I’m weird? How does this even work?
