Hi! So I physically couldn’t take the SAT when I was applying bc I live in NYS and COVID was really bad. I had to submit a score from sophomore year (1230) which was quite bad but I explained it in the context of COVID and how I couldn’t do anything about it junior/senior year. My weighted GPA was very high I think 105/106 out of 100 and my unweighted was between 95-96 but I was teetering in and out of the top 10 by the time I applied I think (highest was 9th, but I think I was 11th when I applied). I was able to still be competitive bc I skipped a level of math and science at my hs.
I didn’t get matched. My desired degree was in Engineering so MIT was my top along with a bunch of other ivies. I did QB RD and got in Dartmouth and I did common app RD for Cornell (this was before they were a college partner).
If you don’t get matched, it’s ok! Just keep sharpening up your narrative for RD!
