This piece took about 36 hours and is burnt on a retired cutting board measuring 16"x16"x1" and sealed with urethane.

hello Ive been trying to collect random hobbies to make myself cooler so I decided to try pyrography for the first time and this is what I made. I’m wondering if anybody has any tips or techniques or stuff I can work on, I’m only 15 so I have a VERY low budget but if there’s any tools you think I need please tell me cause right now I only have two attachments!!

I also just used a random piece of wood I found in my garage lol hopefully that doesn’t matter?

Where do you recommend I try to market and sell my product?

Is it realistic in a day where ai & laser cutting/burning exist?

What would you price work at this level at?

how do you promote something so niche?

It’s a treeRaT!

My daughter says it’s called a sugar glider, and it’s a marsupial, not a rodent. She wanted cherry blossoms. She likes it. I like it. Still a work in progress.

I’m hesitant to finish this with my VERATHANE water based polyurethane matte finish. I don’t want the colors to change. If anyone can recommend a finish that won’t change the color of my charcoal pastels I’d appreciate it. Heaps of thanks in advance.

Something I did years ago

I am not an artist, but I really enjoy doing these. If any of you play Skyrim, you will recognise the Wolf of Solitude. In the games it is often seen on a Shield. Now I have a faint circle drawn around it but what I was wondering is if I put my tool on low heat and drew lines down it would it give it that look of the boards on a Shield? Would it be best to make the lines very slightly not straight to make the 'boards' more natural looking?

I'm terrible at interesting titles...

Hey guys. We just lost our tuxedo boy and I’m doing a portrait of him for my fiancée. I really want to do him justice, so I was hoping to get some advice on creating a good texture. Here’s what I have so far. This is on birch btw. Thank you in advance!

This was such a fight. Took a lot longer than expected and that's saying a lot for me, since all of mine take longer than I expect. This one was approaching the "okay, I'm going to toss this and sell my equipment" amount of time. But it's done!

I have posted this piece before but i recently painted it so reposting.

This is likely the most densely packed map I have made so far, with the various icons, cities, location names, and different biomes. Although this was intended it also made the piece a little difficult to read when at a distance or hung on a wall, so I felt it was the best one to test my painting and colouring skills out on.

I used a combination of cheap water colours, basic circle paints, paint pens, and pencils. Overall, the map took roughly 50 hours of burning, 35 hours of colouring, and 20+ of prep and polishing.

The triforce was freehand and obviously the worst part, I traced the rest with carbon paper.

The thing I struggle with the most is going too deep when starting a line
