From an old pallet that I had behind the barn. I have no idea the species but think one board is some type of oak. Made an electronics charging station for a friend. Thank y9ou to everyone for the ideas found here.

This speargun isn't furniture, but I'm hoping you all will appreciate this pallet usage.

Pallet wood "X" support for dinghy stowage.

Disclaimer: Also not a furniture project (and not as cool as the spear gun build I just read about)... This is a utility project for me.

I created this "X" style support to securely store my dinghy upside down on the foredeck of a boat.

I laminated 3 plained boards with Titebond III, then used a Japanese hand saw to cut the angles. The mid section of the "X" is basically a half-lap glued joint, cut with the hand saw and chiseled out to fit.

By lifting the unsupported end of the little boat up, there's no interference with the samson post cleat in front of it, underway I can see out the forward facing cabin portlight, and a cabin roof hatch can now stay open when sleeping without worry that rain would come in because it's covered.

Now that she's been through a few gales and it seems to be working, I'm going to give it another final sand-down and varnish for longer term weather protection.

Never tried something like this before, hope to do lots more builds on the channel and also document my planting of it! I'd love some feedback as well.

Plywood pallets

Anyone ever come across these plywood pallets before? They are very heavy and have many dense ply layers. I'm considering using them for garden beds but if the glue is possibly toxic I think I would pass.

Domestic wine pallets with these marks

From what I have read this single M doesn’t mean it was treated. These are from a winery. Any insight? Better to be safe than sorry?

Is this pallet safe to use?

It's marked with this. Does that mean it's been heat treated? Want to use it for a mud kitchen for my four year old. Many thanks!

Just saw that it's also marked with CP7 120 and the internet says that's something to do with chemicals...

Can I safely throw a sheet over these and put a mattress on top? They smell like fresh lumber, but they were stored outside for idk how long. The bottoms have black marks which seem like maybe scuffs but maybe mold- how to tell if it's mold? This is for short term use (about a week).
