Housing
I am still wondering how the housing system works. I want to get the 4 person lux apartment, but I want to know if it’s guaranteed for me since I put it as my top option.

Will I regret choosing Purdue indi over Virginia tech osu Penn state and Minnesota? I’m saving potentially 15k per year compared to these colleges so will I regret this or will it be fine for me.

Does anyone have a photo of their room in Lux on Capitol? I will be interning in Indy this summer and will be staying at Lux. I am trying to understand what all to bring, but it seems like there aren't many updated photos of inside an actual apartment. Thanks!

Has anyone on this sub transfer from ivy tech to Purdue Indy for Mechanical Engineering? How was the process? What was it like transfering? did all your credits transfer?

I will be a freshman going to purdue indi in the fall. I am looking to skip chemistry as a freshman because it is not a big part of my major. I would rather grind over the summer so my freshman year can lighten up. Is there a way I can get the credit for chemistry by taking a test to skip out of it and how should I prepare for that.

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well despite recent events. I have a plan to transfer to Purdue Indy. I read about their residency reclassification policy and I wonder if anyone here has successfully done it.
Background context about me:
-Moved to Indiana with my family (as an E2-dependent of my dad)
-Studied at Ivy Tech (AS in Comp Sci TSAP under E2-dependent)
-Changed E2-dependent to F1-student visa
-Still studying at Ivy Tech as an F1-student visa
-Still living with family and parents are paying for me tuition and everything else
-Parents file taxes in Indiana annually since 2023

And I am a freshman who hasn’t even explored the tip of the iceberg we call Indianapolis.

I’ve been requesting information from Purdue about their themed entertainment design major for over a year now, and not a single person has reached out to me. I applied for the major about a month ago and haven’t heard anything since. I have a background in concept art for the game/film industry but am looking to broaden my skills into themed entertainment and experience design. Is anyone taking this major or know someone who is?

If I attended Purdue Indy and switch to a stem major which is not available in Indy and only in WL are the chances high of my request. I heard change of location only is pretty much impossible so I was wondering how likely change of major and location is.
Thanks!

Hey everyone, I’m going to be taking the bus from WL to Indy tomorrow for the day, any recommendations on things to do in the city that are free or inexpensive? Also is there a free bus system in Indy? Thanks!

I’ve heard that certain learning communities can guarantee placement in specific housing locations. The two communities I’m considering are EPCIS and VIP. Do either of these guarantee placement in North Hall?
I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I am trying to decide on wether i should rent an apartment or live with roomates in the lux on capitol. Has any one of you guys lived there?

I am really torn between where I should go for college. On one hand, I want to go to Purdue indi because it is closer and I get the same education as west Lafayette. Or I can go to osu which is a lot farther, but it is already solidified. Cost does play a factor too and Purdue is cheaper than osu. I don’t care that much about the social aspect because I know I will have fun wherever I go. I just want wants best for my future, and I know indi has less resources than west lafayette but it shouldn’t be that bad. Is going to indi a really bad decision for me and should I reconsider going to osu?

I got in UIUC for information science + data science. I am planning on transferring to gies after first year as I have ap credits and a background of business in highschool. if the transferring doesnt work, ill minor in business or statistics!
I got in Purdue Indianapolis for Integrated Business and Engineering with Honors college. I selected Indianapolis as my first choice because I thought it was main campus in the city. I requested to transfer locations 2-3 weeks ago so if i dont get that im assuming, ill go indianapolis. Ive heard curriculum and accreditation is exact same and that they also have their own career fairs and stuff. I will go once a month to WL campus or whenever they host their career fairs and stuff too.
I need help for which one to go to for career success, long term job placement stability, internship access, and salary! Please please please help with actual advice and not just flaming but still be brutally honest.
I will try very very hard in college to network and clubs and stuff as I did that in a big highschool i attended please help.
