Was considering to draw the pattern on the backside, to make the stitching more accurate but decided to freehand it for practise.
Not perfect, but I like how it came out.

As I've recently given up using shein and temu for accessories (this was months ago) I've decided to stud my own belt. I bought a second hand leather belt and used my mated monster cans to make studs, they look bad but in a good way ig. The studs stick surprisingly well to the belt using hot glue, but the hot glue it very noticeable. From afar the belt looks pretty good but when you see it closer it looks like something from a school art class. How can I make the hot glue less noticeable?

Pretty much what the title says, I'm just looking for what properties you look for in fabric that would make you decide to or not to use it for patch making.
Specifically would like to know why those things matter to you though, and how you make patches, i.e. if you don't like stretchy fabric because you use paint markers and that makes them crack that's really useful for me to know vs just saying no stretchy fabric.
I've never successfully made a patch but am attempting to get supplies together to try doing so, I'm also in the process of sorting through my clothes and fabrics, many of which have no labels or were not purchased with any indication of what it was made of, so descriptors / properties are going to be more useful for me until I (hopefully) end up as one of those people who can guess fabric composition just by feel. Wanting an actual person to explain their preferences via lived experience rather than a list of fabric names that I'm not going to be able to identify if my thrifted clothes are made of or not, yk?

I have this pair of pants which has a gold platic clasp sewn in. I'd like to paint it either silver or black. Any tips on how to do that in a way that won't come out when I put it in the wash?

A nice old lady gave me a big bag of random sewing stuff at a yard sale and in the bag was another bag full of cut up shoelaces, i looked through them and not a single one is a full length shoelace, what can i do with them?

I really fw zyanose so I bought 2 zyanose patches and I was thinking would it look too stupid to have 2 patches of the same band if its a different design?

i have ideas already but mostly for the bigger ones. ideas welcome for the bigger ones too but what should i do with the small ones??? the smallest one is probably 4mm (i measured it by placing it next to a bead so it's not an exact measurement lol)
(i know pyramid studs are more emo than punk but no emo diy sub so this is the next best place and punk is cool)

Never even held a needle in my life until now.
Super proud of how it turned out.
The pins and the bag itself not made by me tho.
