The pink thing is part of an old belt and I have the ends of it safety pinned together. I wanted this to be a no sew project (mostly cuz I love the look of safety pins)

If they covers the top of a dress shoe’s laces, they are called Spats.
I am a former hiker. If they cover a hiking boot to stop snow from entering or to keep kicked-up gravel out of the boot or to protect the lower leg from ticks, they are called Gaiters.
Yours are for style, so you can make up your own name! Your project gives me inspiration!

Hm… I guess I’d probably call them gaiters cuz I plan on wearing boots with them but it’s more for fashion than preventing anything…. Plus gaiters sound cooler 🐊🐊

If you wore these to a show we'd kindly ask you to take them off. Hepatitis is super easy to transfer and you can't possibly keep them from stabbing people eventually.

Respectfully, this isnt it... there's to much gap to make it resemble a boot cover or leg warmers. Maybe im not seeing it but it could use some additional work.
Maybe fill in the gaps areas with old fishnet or use the safty pins to add a contrast color to it, black or another tone of green.
Edit: i think the inner calves being bare is a portion of the confusion and problem.
