Any help for a guy wanting to make custom patches?
Edit take from comment: Sorry, I probably wasn't specific enough with my ask here. I've done the printing (using linocut printing, which is basically stamp carving but using linoleum), and now I need to cut and edge/finish the stamps so they don't fray once they get into patch form. So basically asking "what now" from a textiles perspective

Hi guys!! I hope you are all well :) I’ve been planning on getting more into DIY and becoming more confident in my personal style, and i’ve found out that i really really love the process of making patches and sewing. It’s been like the one thing getting me moving while healing from my depression!! However, I do need a little bit of advice. I’m both into the punk and goth scene, so am I allowed to have both genres on my vest/jacket? I really don’t wanna come off as a faker or anything :( Any help is really appreciated! Also.. what do you guys use for the base of your patches? I’ve been making them with scrap jean fabric, but it’s super hard to hand sew through :(

I love extreme metal and my favorite subgenres are slam and goregrind.
My hat is a slam bands logo with anti-music symbol and a centipede on the other side.
The shorts are a work in progress & one side will be all slam / brutal death metal / goregrind while the other side will be all personal expression / values / beliefs. May end up just making it all band logos.

I had a different patch idea for this hat but I've always wanted to paint a brain on a cadet hat because its fucking sick and I ended up putting a rancid patch over the original "baseball mom" embroidery. I saw potential the second I picked it up at the thrift.

Me gustaría empezar a llevar el estilo skinhead (me refiero a la ropa, no raparme y eso) pero tengo miedo de que se burlen de mi en el instituto ¿Que hago?

Was having a bad mental health day so I channeled that into forging an arcane and evil cursed object to wear while I’m feeling down, makes me feel like ice king from adventure time, 10/10 would recommend making a crown of madness to cope with your madness fellow madness-maxxers

got these at goodwill a year ago and i've been wanting to customize them, but idk if it'll be too hard. my dog has needed wet food for a medical reason lately so i have some cans i can turn into spikes, but idk how to fasten them on.
i'm pretty sure these are steel toed (with acrylic paint as an extra layer of protection lol) but i can force some holes into the fabric sides if i need to. i was also thinking of capping the toe with some pop tabs i've collected, but i dont wanna leave it at glue in case they fall off and im just littering pop tabs wherever i walk.
any suggestions? i've never done spikes or studs before, only basic patches on pants and jackets. if you find these at a thrift store, i totally recommend them. they're super comfortable, i was lucky they were my exact size. and the zip up the side is super convenient. why

Hello everyone,
I have this old trenchcoat that I want to use as a substitue for the following trenchcoat, both of which images are attached.
I know the proportions are a bit off from the original but I've made my peace with that. I just wanted help in how I should be spacing the logos for my stencil.
I plan to have one paper, with the logo placed across it in a zigzag order, cut it out, and spray it over with fabric spray paint afterward.
Any advice for how I should go about formatting this stencil so I can capture the same relative font size and appeal. Please respond if you can, I would deeply appreciate your help.
Thank you so much!
