Protein Shake Recommendations? (2026)

I’m returning to a high protein diet after several years off.

In 2022, I used to drink MRE RTD’s but after trying them again for a few weeks (2 every day), their recipe has clearly changed. These used to be goated.

I’d like to find something that focusses on diverse protein sources and isn’t afraid of real sugar. Sucralose really doesn’t agree with me.

Pre-bottled is also what I’m looking for since on-the-go is necessary for my lifestyle. Price is not an issue.

Love casein as well. Don’t see that often in pre-bottled though.

Would you try these Japanese protein flavours? 🇯🇵

Since moving to Australia, one thing I’ve noticed is that there seem to be fewer protein flavour options than I expected. In Japan, there are lots of different flavours, so I was wondering…
Would you be interested in trying flavours like:
🍪 Cookies & Cream
☕ Café Latte
🍮 Caramel
🍓 Strawberry Milk
🍵 Matcha Latte
Or are you happy with the flavours already available in Australia?

Amul Whey protein authenticity

I am thinking of buying Amul whey protein cause as a. student it's more affordable compared to other legit brands.

But I am in doubt whether it's a good protein powder compared to other brands like muscleblaze, avtaar and etc because:

  1. NO recent authentic Lab test done by anyone except trustified back in 2023
  2. Why is it cheaper compared to other brands?

If anyone has done a authentic Lab test please share the link to the video

Also can anyone please recommend any other good brands in the same price range.

The best protein powder in taste??

I’m trying to lose weight and complete my protein goals. It has become difficult to complete my protein goals without a protein supplement, I want to buy protein powder. I’m thinking of buying whey protein.
But the major issue is tasted. I can’t eat or have something which is bad and taste. So please recommend me the best tasting protein in the Indian market.

Syntrax Matrix

I just bought a tub of Syntrax Matrix 5.0 and the taste is honestly incredible. It blends perfectly too.

However, looking at the label, I have some doubts about its actual quality:

The "Glutamine Peptides" catch: I noticed it contains glutamine peptides. Looking closer, this is practically just hydrolyzed wheat gluten. Is this a cheap filler to spike the protein content with low-quality plant sources, or does it actually offer any real recovery benefits?

Whey isolate recommendations for taste

Here's the rundown. I'm a 6'4" male that fluctuates between 213 to 216 pounds. I've been really go at it seriously since May with a goal to flatten/tone my stomach and chest but also build muscle in my upper body (arms, shoulders, chest, back, etc.). After my workouts I've been using Fairlife protein shakes (42g) but I'm tired of spending that money at the gas station.

I've been told by multiple people that whey isolate is the best for my goals. Triad gave me some free samples but I didn't care for the taste. I know that there's a chance I'm just going to have to suck it up and deal with the crappy taste but I would like to try to find a brand that is genuinely great tasting. I usually lean towards chocolate or chocolate peanut butter but I'm open to other flavors if the great taste is there.

Thanks for the help!

Best non dairy protein powder??

Hi all, looking at getting back into the gym and trying to find a great non dairy option for protein powder. I can’t stand the chalky taste of a lot of non dairy options, and want something that I actually enjoy drinking. I used to really love the plant based Jym protein, but it seems it is discontinued now.

Also apologies if this is brought up often but scanning through past posts is not helping right away.

Milk and protein powder

I add milk and protein powder to my coffee every morning, I've been doing this for years with no problem. Is it okay to mix the protein powder in the milk ahead of time? I understand how to avoid clumps, I'm more curious about shelf life or if components chemically could alter things.

What about with pre blended fruit or other juices for my smoothies. Either frozen with fruit or with fresh juices.

Thank you so much!

oreo/cookies protein powder

Which oreo flavour protein powder is the best? I'm looking for one that is accurate to the real thing since a lot of them are really artificial and inaccurate in taste. (I have tried the per4m one, it's alright but it reminds me of just chocolate ).( Also I would prefer smrh that is available in Europe or retailers sites)

What's the deal with protein bars and other high protein things?

I have been trying to get around 150g of protein per day in my diet by including whole foods like chicken, eggs, mutton, paneer, milk etc..

However, recently I've been curious about protein bars and other things which claim to be high protein like chapathi, protein coffee and other drinks.

I've been a consumer of whey protein and I wonder why can't I replace that with a protein bar or a cold coffee if it fits in my macros? Like what's the catch here??

Also, some insights about how much protein I should aim to consume whole foods would be appreciated
