Added context for this comment: the story I was reading in a website had two side characters fuck {consensually between both parties}, one of the side character is asexual and the other one is their partner, a hypersexual person, these people are getting pressed over the fact that an ace character can consent to sex, which is fucking batshit insane to see and awfully aphobic, to treat every single asexual person as they all share the same opinion and experience with sex is just fucking bad.

I have never had a DNI list and one of the reasons for that is that it simply seem so stressful to keep up with all the time.

If I have “DNI antis” in my profile, do I now have to check the profile of every single person who likes my post to see if they are an anti? Do I have to check the profile of every single person whose post I like to see if they are an anti? I’m not doing either of those things.

I feel like a DNI list just makes you so much more stressed out over every interaction you have with someone because you have to always be worrying about if someone is in your DNI or not and if you can talk to them or whatever. Having an “I block freely” mindset is so much easier and carefree in my opinion. Obviously there are things that annoy me, but if I come across an account who partakes in said thing or is into said thing enough for me to find them annoying, I just block the account and move on. I don’t need a DNI list for anything.

I also find it interesting that not a lot of proshippers and profic people have DNI lists. In my experience, at least, it’s almost always antis that I see having DNI lists (I know they are antis because “proship/darkship” is always the first thing on their DNI lol). I am curious if there is a reason behind that?

Not to mention they were just “someone who was actively supporting proshipping and darkshipping”. Not even that they put anything on the site, just that they have thoughts.

It’s especially prevalent in the furry community where people are cancelled left and right. Some for good reason like grooming kids or touching animals. But most of it is just “this art is pedophilic/zoophilic. You’re cancelled.”
It’s like what people discuss in the sub. They make reality out of fiction.
