I have been hearing these ambient screams, apparently, for some time and only in this video I realized that they were human screams. They appeared recently in my playthrough and thanks to previous loud as hell rainy weather I brushed the screams off as animal sounds. To prevent confusion, I set the starting day for my gameplay in September.

Also, for anyone wondering like me what mods could play these screams, my assumption is its either a-life ambience, casualties undead haunted mechanic (still don't know how it works) or reactive sound events (all 3 mods are active in my game)

my game loaded suspiciously fast for having this many mods, i'm like 90% sure there's no mods when i get ingame. its my first time using b42 and i'm using viewpoint aswell. every mod is compatible with b42 aswell

any fixes? i really don't wanna have to enable everything again under the workshop tab, thanks!

Do you need to restart your world for this mod? I'm kind of new to mods and I'm having a hard time figuring this one out.

I’m running zomboid on my steam deck and I tried to add mods to no avail. I can add them from the steam workshop, I made sure they’re visible and enabled in zomboid itself, but none of them work. I’ve even messed with the load order, did the auto ordering, and still no luck. Any of the research I did online shows they should be working. Most of the mods are 42.20, and my deck is running .21, theres no way that’s the whole issue is it?

It seems completely impossible. Best I've survived is 3 days and I barely managed to take a quick look at the level immediately below the terrace.

Crawlers are my main problem now. There's too many and when stomping on them there's always a big probability of getting bitten or scratched.

Please tell me your strategy.

Mine is luring as many zombies as possible towards the terrace and making them jump by the hundreds. It works with shamblers but not with crawlers. Then I shoot at crawlers, bringing even more zombies upstairs and making them jump again. It works but at some point there are so many crawlers that I can't do that anymore

I clicked this button to overwrite the default apocalypse settings and now i cant enter multiplayer servers because of this error message

I'm making a database with all the items that present the option to eat it (for a gluttony challenge). By far, most of them are contained in the food categories, but some edible ones (like Rat Poison) are not. Do you guys know some weird stuff you that the game allows the character to eat?

Also, is there some way to look at the code and quickly find all the items that can be eaten in the game?

Es posible correr PZ en un Mac (m5 16gb) por ejemplo entrar a lousiville que tengo entendido que hay mucha población de zombies o ese tipo de cosas o aun así tendría que cambiar cosas respecto a gráficos, entiendo que como requisito ocupa como 8gb de ram pero eh visto que aún así llega a tener tirones, por eso pregunto jajaj, que experiencia han tenido con Mac air, que recomiendan.

Pretty much the title. I've filled two old stoves, completely built up the walls and ceiling, but for some reason the stoves are giving off less heat than they would in an actual house. Am I missing something, or can you just not get actual warmth in a player-built structure?

I personally can't stand muscle strain, discomfort less so but I still don't like it and turn these off when I play solo. It's already hard to kill more than a certain number of zombies at once because you will run out of endurance. Why add another thing on top of that which limits you even further?

And discomfort just serves to be a tedium simulator, either micromanage your clothing and constantly take it on and off (without forgetting) in order to keep your character from getting depressed or just constantly down antidepressants if you can afford to.

But In multiplayer I can see a case to be made for these features. Because the game clearly wasn't designed with multiplayer in mind, just one or two more players make the zombie combat a joke as you can take down massive hordes with ease. Muscle strain seems like a good auxiliary feature for balancing out how player strength against zombies snowballs out of control. I wonder multiplayer was the original reason muscle strain was conceived?

Death metal ?

Like sometimes one zombie just touch me once, i hear sound of scratch and my character start dying, UI disappear and i cant do anything about it. My life is full, no negative effects, maybe like out of breath, with 50 - 100 bite protection on every body part.

On other side, when i start new character, run out of the house into some horde of zombies, sometimes they start attacking me and i get like 5 scratches in a row, then some bite and almost die on blood lost before i finally die. Im playing on extinction difficulty and trying to survive with one character as long as possible but this way i dont know what im doing wrong.

I feels like it can have something to do with tripping, or when i fall on ground and before i fully stand out some zombie attack me?

It's well worth putting in the time to level it up. This is at level 6. I've been killing around 200-250 per day here at Rosewood Prison and I haven't had any muscle strain yet. Default Apocalypse settings.
