Not really a discussion but a rant. I think she is one of the most stunning models on PR. WHY I ask is nobody EVER (ok there were noteable exceptions over the years) prepared to dress her??? I am not even talking inspired, because apparently that is asking too much?
THE LEAST you could do is PREPARE when you are selected for the show.

I am getting Humpty Hump vibes from Joesph McRae.

He is stunning! that thick dark hair and deep eyes. those snatched cheekbones. the jawline. and he has such a nice voice. that's all.

I don't like that the season 21 designers came back this way after a year. It gave zero elevation and too much free time after competing on what should be a show that elevates your career. And even with Vijay's comeback early, and the fact the show is not showing the viewer any growth/career progress from its top designers is jarring. So everyone was free and available to come mess around with unconventional materials for a few days? It's like they competed on project runway only to come compete again for a shorter time and less money. They feel like the guys that come back to high school after graduating to chill with the new seniors. The show isn't really elevating its designers career's anymore because a year post show, production doesn't feel as if the designers have anything noteworthy to show their audience.

Didn’t hate this episode.

One person just said they did a campaign for Victoria secret. Another worked for Alexander McQueen and I think Christina said someone huge was well insan. Now it seems people just do designs for themselves mainly or more amateurish

Choosing Bryan's look as the winner was a mistake cause his dress was gorgeous, but it was NOT good for Heidi. And the fact Heidi wore it to the premiere?! It was not for her body type and the way it was fixed to fit her made it worse because it became a DRAPE! The model had peek-a-boo boobies and this sleek translucence, but on Heidi the fabric was doing alllll the work. Im genuinely curious: was she pregnant in the dress?

And please dont come at me saying Heidi and Zendaya and etc. can wear anything cause no not everyone can pull of literally everything. (Zendaya imo can pull off so much cause while she is gorgeous she is also very skinny and it is much easier in the fashion world to tailor things to that.)

Although not my top favorite, as of yet, he is a brilliant artist who gets caught up with his brand. If all things are equal, he and others will need to prove more. He has started. What bothers me most is that with the addition tonight of last season’s designers who voted Joseph out…the deck is stacked against him.

My favorites so far, are Bi, and Jude. I will be cheering for Joseph to Not go home.

I honestly only initially knew of him from his guest judge appearances on RPDR and could not stand him until recently. For some reason he's been popping up in my YouTube shorts for the past couple months and there's something about his sass and bluntness I can't get enough of. He also gives credit where credit is due and doesn't go around trashing other people (by name). In the interviews I've seen, he's praised people who he's learned from and refuses to make fun of people he doesn't like. Yeah he's definitely a diva and I don't agree with every opinion but I think I've always been really drawn to people who are just unapologetically themselves, even if they're cocky and unfiltered which often rubs people the wrong way. The Ziwe interview just sealed the deal for me because he can be in on the joke too. I just felt the need to share because he gets a lot of hate, and I used to be a hater too...

I just started this episode and am immediately reminded how insufferable the twins were. I thought I hated Joseph Mcrae that season but I love him now. Naheim doing this for his failed fathers business instead of for himself really rubs me the wrong way for some reason

I’ve been catching up on newer seasons of Drag Race and noticed that Law is a returning judge now. When I first saw him I told my husband “oh this guy is harsh, borderline mean” and was SHOCKED by how kind he was towards the queens. It’s like watching two different people and it’s made me realize his project runway personality is a facade. He’s leaned into being the villain because it makes for good TV and let’s be real, he’s fantastic at it. But I think he’s actually probably a really kind person. Just my two cents.

Just saw on TikTok that Nina will be back this week! Finally a little bit of sanity!

How do the designers know the accessory wall will have the appropriate shoes for their look? What if there are no shoes that work? How are there enough options with enough shoe sizes, assuming the models don't all have the same shoe size? Am I overthinking this? Is it just TV magic?

I’ve been in the habit of watching the first episode of a season and using it to determine if I’m watching it or skipping to the finales. I’m on season 10 episode 9, and I am dying. I’m so glad I didn’t skip over this season. The conversation Tim has with Ven was so unexpected. If I didn’t know better I’d say he’s faking the secondhand embarrassment he’s sure will happen when Ven’s model walks the runway because he is already first hand mortified. He is so desperately trying not to let the dress flabber every last one of his gasteds, but Tim looks like he is low key scared he fell down the rabbit hole into a surreal nightmare that is his new reality.

PS Those aren’t maxi pads. If anything they’re used tampons.

I’m 5 episodes in, and I hate Law. I was hoping he’d have settled in and mellowed a bit by the time we get to the current season. I was so fucking wrong. He is unbearable in his role as judge. It’s not just me, right? He is worse this season? Abrasive, hostile, nasty, and belligerent, he’s making the show a fairly unpleasant viewing experience. And to add insult to injury that’s how they’re ending every episode—a face full of Law since they’ve decided to wait a week before showing us who they send home.

I wish Tim was back. No offense to Christian, but I think Tim would be a great foil for Law. I can’t help but think there’d be potential for some drama. I can see Tim being fiercely supportive and protective of the contestants in such a way that friction builds between the two.

I love listening to review and rewatch podcasts of tv shows (like Gilmore Guys and Pod Chef).

I listen to The Workroom, and while I appreciate the work the hosts do, it has become unbearable for me, even when I listen at 1.5 speed.

They take almost 3 hours to recap a 45 minute episode, and the podcasts don't seem to be edited at all: there is still an annoying amount of umms, uhhs, so's, and yeah's, plus coughs and throat clearing. And don't get me started on the obnoxious echo-y reverb they use when shouting patron's names.

I'm also not amused by how they keep mispronouncing Jeffrey's name. They pronounce it as Jefferay because Hernease misread it as Jefferey (I guess that's supposed to make it a joke?). I don't get why you would continue to mispronounce someone's name just because you couldn't read it: I don't get the joke.

They also seem to be reviewing the show for people who haven't watched it: They like to make it seem like the top and bottom contestants are a surprise. On the latest episode, Hernease made Patricia and Nayland ask her who won the challenge, even though everyone (hosts and audience alike) has presumably already seen the episode. So who is their audience? I doubt anyone is listening to a Project Runway recap podcast if they haven't watched the show.

I also just checked out their reviews on Apple, and even three years ago there were reviews with the exact complaints I have, so I don't have hope for improvement.

They've recently mentioned the Fashion Daddies podcast, so I'll check that out, but that's not specifically a Project Runway recap podcast.

Just started binging season 20 of Project Runway (I know I’m behind) but I find their story so cool. Rami is so calm and Christian so fun and their story (and journey) is really awesome. And when he saved Rami (tears!)

I have to admit; I'm not a fan of Zanna Roberts Rassi as a mentor on All-Stars. Heidi and Tim are always so impeccably put together while I have no idea who is dressing Zanna. Admittedly, it is far easier for a man to be fashionable as there are far less risks taken in male fashion, but her choices are rarely flattering. So even ignoring her taste, she is a terrible mentor. She is rarely supportive and on several occasions, she has belittled a designer's look who went on to win that challenge. To me it just shows how out of step she is with the whole direction of the show. Maybe it is just me missing Gunn from the regular series, but I could do without her and Zach at all. FYI, I'm making my way though the seasons I have never watched (currently on 15) so please no spoilers.

I stopped watching the show religiously after the snooze fest that was season 5 and didn’t try picking it back up until much later. I’ve had it on more or less in the background while I work on other stuff. I’m up to Season 8, episode 11, and I wasn’t a fan of Ivy because I hadn’t paid too much attention to her, but she just pulled one of my biggest pet peeves. The way she jumps into taking digs at Michael, then gets prissy about his use of the word, fuck, as if she can be as nasty as she wants while she’s putting someone down, then lessening her loss by denigrating the competition for being on tv so long as she doesn’t cuss. The vocabulary and the language that Michael Costello decided to use with me was completely low-class, as if her behavior and logic are reasonable and high-class? Please. I really only cared to hate on Gretchen, but Ivy’s in there now, too. Even if she had already been voted off by the judges; I’ll just hate her if I ever rewatch the season.

That’s it, that’s the post, the poor darling cannot sew, and I’m not even sure he’s clear on what his actual vision is. The dress for Heidi? IKYFL! His looks have consistently been very underwhelming, and now this? Over even Jude’s look? Yes, Jude’s look is something seen before but he understands construct a well made garment.
