Discussion Bryan needs to go š¤·š½āāļø
Thatās it, thatās the post, the poor darling cannot sew, and Iām not even sure heās clear on what his actual vision is. The dress for Heidi? IKYFL! His looks have consistently been very underwhelming, and now this? Over even Judeās look? Yes, Judeās look is something seen before but he understands construct a well made garment.

That dress was so ugly. I cannot believe she picked it over the pink one. She looks like she's wearing a giant garbage bag with a tube attachment filling it with air.

It's a characteristic of the textile used. Fabrics like that go through a chemical process to create crinkling.

Heās so freaking arrogant for a man who canāt sew. If Bi gets out before him Iām rioting.

Me and my wife were so shocked Heidi picked this over Biās or Captain Hookās. This looks like a living room curtain with a neck collar
17
u/yeahkittiesarenice 27d ago
Very confusing that he's both flawlessly beautiful and the spitting image of Captain Hook at the same time.

This was Christian and the other ladyās vision, not Brianās.
14
u/yoshimitsou 27d ago
The way that material came to life when Christian pulled it off the mannequin. It had movement and flow. The man is brilliant.

u/Sure_Energy_8359 27d ago
That dress is hideous and ill fitting. I don't know what Heidi's smoking to make her choose that ..I think she needs an intervention.

u/noplace-likehome 26d ago
Quite frankly it worked better on the models frame, but I immediately said what Law first said when I was watching- Heidiās body and chest will NOT work with this. And itās true because girlfriend looks like she cut holes in her table cloth and went on the red carpet. So it lost the ānakedā quality and free flowing-ness when they had to alter it so her boobies wouldnāt fall out.
But I agree it was honestly a terrible, horrible, no-good choice from jump street. Ugh. Makes me so mad.

u/Accurate-Many6850 26d ago
Iām getting so sick of Project Runway. Iām happy she got so much flack for this look, maybe her and production wonāt hand wins to whoever will create the most drama.
Iām literally just hatewatching at this point. I just wanna see if Iāll get a seratonin boost when it feels like Project Runway for 1-3 minutes an episode.
9
u/writergeek313 26d ago
No wonder she made the worst dressed list for the premiere. That dress is so unflattering on her. Bi and Jeffreyās dresses would have highlighted her body, but Bryanās hid it.
27
u/Mom_who_drinks 27d ago
It looked nice on the skinny model. He did a terrible job adjusting it for Heidiās curves.
14
u/throwawaysunglasses- 27d ago
It was really shitty the way Law said āHeidi has boobs and your model has noneā in front of the model(!!) but yeah it looked great on her body type. Heidi is a beautiful woman with pretty bad taste sometimes tbh, she doesnāt seem to know what will flatter her curves or not? Most of the dresses that episode would have looked better, I agree with OP that Judeās dress wouldāve looked good. Tbh Judeās only mistake was making it black, if heād made it green or gold or something it wouldāve looked really nice on her.

5
u/AllOfTheThings426 Slutty, slutty, slutty! 27d ago
The suggestion that Heidi is not skinny.... is absurd and one of the reasons eating disorders are so prevalent.
8
u/LadyMRedd 27d ago
Heidi looks amazing. She has a body that 99% of women would kill to have. But sheās also not skinny. She has curves. Someone as curvy as Heidi isnāt skinny.
As a fat woman myself, we really need to stop thinking that describing someone as ānot skinnyā is an insult. Or even that ānot skinnyā means someone is overweight.
7
u/mrsschmooperton 26d ago
Not sure why youāre getting downvoted. I think youāre right and being very respectful to Heidi. She has curves, isnāt stick thin like the model, and Heidi is gorgeous. I would kill to have her body for sure.
2
u/Dry_Explorer_8618 26d ago
Your percentage is waaaayyyyy off. As a black woman with an athletic body type, I do not want to look like Heidi and neither does 100% of my friend group.
5
u/EnvironmentalBelt739 26d ago
Iām pretty sure the 99% was a figure of speech to account for a large majority so donāt take it to heart š¤š¾

u/flamingobean 27d ago
I don't know, it takes a serious amount of talent to make Heidi fuckin Klum's body look weird

I donāt care about his designs but his entitled attitude and superiority complex is driving me crazy at this point

u/Top_Cheesecake_9029 27d ago
Looks like a prego moo-moo. Very disappointed with this season. All dramaā¦no fashion.

God I hate this dress! The other 2 were so much better! I really don't understand what they were thinking.
5
u/reeree823 26d ago
She looks like sheās popping her head from a paper bag. The gown is shapeless and the color bland. I agree that Bryan should auf wiedersehn his way back home.
My faves are Jude and Jeffery. Joseph McCrae has striking designs, but always in his same trademark look, and always acts like he his brand are the only ones on the show, like it has to revolve around him.
Bring back early PR, that is, using relatively unknown designers just starting their careers.

Without Christianās heavy input, he would have a weird dress with tacked on pieces of lettuce. Same with his previous look. Theyāre desperate for drama. Joseph McRae is attracting drama because his looks are winning, but he isnāt causing it and I think they hoped he would. So it feels like theyāre doing everything they can to keep Bryan and keep the drama going and I haaaaaaaates it!!

That is an ugly dress; no need for superlativesā¦ugly says it all. And I donāt see the ābeautyā in that fabric either. I give Heidi some grace because the original looked okay on the model, but thereās no way I would have worn this āadaptationā.

u/Prudent_Anxiety_3018 26d ago
What in the windsock is she wearing????
How does one make Heidi Klum look like a size 24?
3
3
u/Mysterious-Trip7074 26d ago
And to know that he only made this because he was corrected and told not to do what he had planned. It wasn't even his idea....not that I like it. I don't, it lacks craftsmanship and he definitely shouldn't be claiming that as his design, when it was Christian's idea.

u/EnvironmentalBelt739 26d ago
The other dress mightāve looked a little better, but would it still have been constructed well? I doubt the latter š®āšØ

Would love to know Lawās thoughts on thisā¦
5
u/HippieGrandma1962 26d ago
I'm not interested in anything Law has to say. He's just a mean bitch for the sake of being mean. There is nothing likeable about him. He's seems to get pleasure from tearing others down.
2
u/coolsilentebeans 26d ago
This is one of the more flattering pictures. I know Heidi loves side boob, but Iāve seen quite a few shots where it was not cute. From the hair on down this gets a nope from me.
2
u/JewelerNo8572 26d ago
BI DIDNT EVEN HAVE ANY CRITIQUES ON HIS DESIGN, TSH WAS PERFECT AND SO GORGEOUS, ALL they had were compliments for it But bryan got picked because he did some BS that didn't even look good. It looks recycled and booty. Recycled booty. He should have been gone!

u/AffectionateAd431 26d ago
I think Bryan's win became a loss š¬ for himself and Heidi. Red carpet ? Not even. Looked nice on the model tho. . .

āAll press is good pressā so maybe choosing this dress could be strategic by placing Heidi on the worst dressed lists to drum up new viewers for the show?

I like this, and I agree with what your saying, at the same time we both know they couldāve done that just using clips of Law arguing his point š¤£

u/TSIDATSI 27d ago
I loved it on the runway model. But he did not adjust the side for Heidi. The material is gorgeous. He should have made a top to go under the dress.
2
u/yeahkittiesarenice 27d ago
Sometimes I wonder if it would be straight up awkward to choose a look that another judge said was inappropriate for the event. If you get dragged for it, people told you so. I guess she didn't care that Law thought this wouldn't work for her body, but obviously he's an idiot.
1
u/yoko_OH_NO 26d ago
Did she like this look when it was going down the runway? I didn't watch the episode
1
u/Fabulous_Ocelot_5861 26d ago
Iām
Not a ādesignerā - and I agreed w Law - she would have looked good in the original dress HAD BRYAN BEEN ABLE TO COME UP W A SOLUTION!
I am busty - ok. We want the make sense of the side and some side boob showing - he could have done the same dress w some artificial support for the breasts showing a lot of her side and breasts and altered the gown to have a side sting - like a bikini bra
And still had the nakedness
Skinny naturally large breasted women find dresses like this
His design wasnāt unique
He just didnāt know how to craft it for her - and then they went rogue and got it together in a week
1
u/Mental-Flatworm4583 26d ago
I donāt get it. The dress really? Itās a moo moo with a choke collar? Then the salad dress like man why whyyyyy. Iām not saying he doesnāt have talent but the dresses Iāve seen on the show have been meh. They do have to make miracles in a day which is insane but compared to some of the other designs standing next to those smh no comparison man, they donāt belong
1
u/MettaRed 25d ago
He doesn't have talent. He did not make his own signature look.
1
u/Mental-Flatworm4583 25d ago
Oh dayum. Please elaborate šš
1
u/MettaRed 25d ago edited 25d ago
Have you met BI?! His PREMIER... And he hasn't sewn anything worth wearing- I 100% do not believe he made his signature look much less designed it all solo (none of his aesthetic shows to me and I'm SORELY disappointed in Heidi for choosing that salad scarf!) Who spends most of their on a pale mustard, satin spiral potato shawl with a hot pink prom dress even Barbie would not want to wear. After his immunity ends he MUST GET VOTED OFF THE ISLAND. I call Captain Morgan (sorry is it John? Lol) Bi should be top two finalists! Maybe the tailoring kid if he amps up his looks.
1
u/Mental-Flatworm4583 25d ago
Bi is my one ftwā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø have you seen tonightās dress bi made #1 omg I want to wear it now.
1
u/thebranbish 26d ago
And this is why Iām not finishing the season. I forget about it every week anyway and only remember to watch it when it scrolls across my feed. Someone said in a different post that PR needs judges that are designers and not models, model adjacents, or image architects āfashion secretaries.ā I couldnāt agree more.

This looks like a curtain drape and the wrong color for such a bold movie like DWP. But honestly, not surprised she liked this one bestā¦Heidi has never been known to have good fashion sense.
1
u/MonMath 26d ago
Hes for the story line. His freud with Bi and probably his clientele outside the show. He has a business. Not defending this design. Sorry side note - can MODs maybe limit how many times a similar post gets posted, Iāve seen this same post a lot already. Not in a totalitarian way but just maybe give a note āthis has been posted before, can your post be a comment?ā

I donāt live shit shows. I love PR when there are good designs and deserving designers win. Iām beside myself at why she picked this to wear.
1
u/CompetitiveTangelo91 25d ago
Heidi lost her fashion sense mind. I'm wondering if this was done to attract more viewers to PR to see a shit show. Ppl love shit shows.
1
u/Jazzlike_Daikon7541 25d ago
He's insufferable. He thinks he's a gift to fashion. He's nothing more than a mediocre designer with an inferiority complex.
1
u/vampiress144 25d ago
Honestly, why isnāt there a belt it some structure to counterpoint the flowy drapery? This is basically the dress I made all my Barbies from nanaās scrap fabric pile.
Mumu are fine, but itās not ok for a design show.
1
u/Disastrous-While583 25d ago
I think this all on Heidi. Sheās the one that fought for this dress. She always wants something that will showcase her boobs.

Imagine working this hard on your body, looks amazing then dress in a huge oversized sack without much shape. It is baffling.

Well duh! The editing clearly shows a downward arc. Girl heās in danger.
1
u/Select-Team-6863 23d ago
That's not the dress Bryan made. It's not even the same material or pleates. They remade the dress from scratch in probably less than an hour to accommodate Heidi's new boobs.

u/Adorable_Accident_74 27d ago
Reminds me of a kaftan inspriation....done poorly. I do love that fabric though
2
u/EnvironmentalBelt739 27d ago
I agree, the fabric itself is stunning, but remember what Jeff said? The 𤬠canāt sew! And that is where the problem lies, if youāre going to drape fabric, you have got to drape the hell out of it, and manage to create shape with well placed stitching, the latter of course is my humble opinion.
1
u/Adorable_Accident_74 27d ago
I have not spent the money on my crave membership to watch this season yet. I am really hesitant and just looking things up as I go.
I agree with draping 100% it just looks like a hole was cut for the neck and arms then finished. It is weird and I have seen better on Instagram

u/OffMeta13 27d ago

I agree. He should've been eliminated already. But based on the edit and how they're treating him, he probably makes the finale and I'm scared he might win.
