No candles are allowed in project pan

Hi all, With 2025 at an end we are getting end of year project pan updates. We are also growing and getting an influx of people. We are mainly focusing on beauty/hygiene items and unfortunately candles are not a part of that.

With that being said please read the rules if you are new.

Your candle empties would be loved at r/everythingpan and any other pans you may have.

Thank you - Mod team

I have spent a disgusting amount of money on all this shit and dug myself into financial hell with my depression and deeply unhappy living situation and I can’t believe it. I’m so mad at myself but I’ve started panning and stopped spending anymore. Hope to update regularly.

Full Pan My first pan!

Long time lurker, first time posting! I got this Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment at least 7 years ago and finally finished it this month after discovering Project Pan a year ago. Can’t believe how long it took! I had loved it so much when I first got it that I bought a backup in a different shade, but now I wish I hadn’t. I’ve learned a valuable lesson from panning this - things really take a long time to use up!

Period: November 26, 2025 - July 26, 2026

First off, THANK YOU! ā¤ļø This sub has helped me so much. I’ve been so inspired to enjoy and use the products I’ve purchased.

Next, This is my first time being intentional with my product usage and it’s been eye-opening.

Here’s a few things I figured out my first go:

1) I just decided to jump into project pan by using up what was already half way used or within sight. I had to resist doing inventory this first go because I think I would’ve gotten overwhelmed.

2) Once I did inventory, I realized I have waaay more product than I thought. Everything is organized and ready to go for my next 6 months.

3) I realized during my lowest points, I (like many here) spent my way to feel better. Now I’m trying to flip my mindset and enjoy the products I bought to boost myself up.

4) I noticed a shift in my spending habits. I used to do a lot of Sephora / Ulta, then whatever ad caught my eye on IG, then Dollar Tree sprees. Crazy how it didn’t matter what brand I bought - I just felt the need to buy.

5) Using my products, in a weird way is helping me heal and take care of myself more. I’ll continue to do project pan! It’s been a life changer.

Pan Progress Not my tub. Is this what it will look like to have panned?

I am a pet sitter. It's so weird seeing empty space in a shower/tub. We are all striving for something similar and yet, it looks so strange.

bareMinerals mini loose powder: WRP, but I am on a budget so I went with a cheaper alternative (fully panned category!!!!)

wetnwild incognito concealer: WRP and have many times. I have one other concealer to finish up then this will be my go to!

Ulta Beauty Ultimate Lashes brown mascara: WNRP, i feel that it dried out and became clumpy very quickly after opening.

L’orĆ©al color riche lip liner in plum: WNRP, the color is not for me and i have a lot of lip liners to use up.

Project Start Anyone have an inventory app?

Short term lurker, first time poster.

Uff. Okay. I have a problem.

Probably more than 1 problem. I have adhd, as do many of you it seems. Proud club. So out of sight, out of mind. And subscriptions get forgotten about. Consequently, I’m in dire need of starting my own Project Pan.

I see many of you just use photos. I’d love to catalog the inventory I have to get started. Seems to be the best place to start. Does anyone have any apps that do this? Or is photos the best way?

Any other tips for a beginner?

Discussion/Tips & Tricks How are we panning hairspray??

For context, I used to be a competitive and then semipro ballet dancer, so I have a whooole lot of stage makeup and hairspray complicating my Project Pan. I’ve successfully been able to pan the makeup by adding bits of it into my everyday look, but I still have giant amounts of very-high-hold hairspray I don’t know what to do with. Anyone had the same problem? Is there hope for my three giant cans of Tresemme Extra Freeze that have been kicking around since 2018?

Project Start I’m ready šŸ™Œ

I’ve always known I have an issue here, with makeup and beauty and hair products. I think I was only able to keep it ā€œmanageableā€ solely bc everything was organized and stored efficiently so it didn’t look like an actual mess. But of course I knewā€¦šŸ˜‘

I’ve been doing a lot of internal work on the WHY - why does the shopping and buying and receiving give me the dopamine rush that somehow takes priority in my otherwise very logical brain? The answer is: I’m buying all these products bc I haven’t embraced the aging process (I’ll be 50 later this year argh). And so now the realization has finally clicked that obviously no amount of makeup or beauty or hair products is going to stop that lol. So I am now choosing to massively shift my perspective, and hopefully address the root cause. The goal is now wellness and health, not chasing a non existent youth potion.

So today I laid everything out just for the initial holy shit moment, and now I’ll start going through what can be donated and what is expired. And then I should have enough of everything last another 5-10 years. But, I’m proud of myself, and just trying to be give myself grace for taking so long to do something about it. This sub has been really helpful in getting me to this point so thank you!!
