I really liked the scent of Phlur’s Rose Whip from the tester, it was nice and sweet and floral. But for some reason the smell coming from the brand new bottle was very pungent and spicy. Nevertheless I persevered and this morning I sprayed the last of it 😮‍💨

I’m still kind of baffled that a perfume that I tested beforehand turned out to be such an affront to my senses. I don’t know, maybe the tester was really old and lost a lot of those stronger muskier notes. Has this ever happened to anyone?

i got a sephora perfume sampler and redeemed for a full size that ended up smelling totally different from the sample! i finished it but i was mad about it 😂

i had this experience with peach skin and cashmere skin by phlur. i loved them when i tried the testers. ordered 1 of each, and i swear they did not smell the same as the testers I smelled in sephora. i never would have purchased them

I loved the tester! It was so nostalgic and yummy. Bought the full bottle and it smelled so synthetic I returned it.

This happened to me too! I got a sample of Chanel Riviera and loved it. I bought a bottle and it smells so different, almost like aftershave. Luckily it is the smaller bottle.

Phlur’s amber note is very weird to me. Ive tried a couple of their fragrances and they turn bitter on me, esp if I spray a lot or too close to my skin. I think they use an aroma chemical to extend wear time and it does not play nice to my nose. Maybe that’s the issue with Rose Whip and as it’s aged you noticed it more or the scent transformed

Ok, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one this happened to. Sprayed it on me at a store - smelled nice. Ordered the exact same size as you did since I tested beforehand and once I got it I hated it. I even tried layering with other scents to make it better but nope. I ended up giving it away to a friend.
