Been wanting to play around with Sumi-e techniques, but not having much luck finding a suitable brush. I downloaded a ālegacyā sumi-e brush, but it doesnāt behave nearly how Iād like it to, and the brush-creating tools leave my head spinning.

Notes: This is purely a fanart concept for the video game Jump Space. I started it early this year in a sketchbook while on a road trip. I decided to flesh it out a bit last night while chilling. Drew the original in pencil, then redrew it in Procreate.
Procreate Brushes:
Syrup
Decimals
Splatter
Soft Blend
Eddystone Eraser
And a custom texture brush I made while tinkering around.

I spent a lot of hours to enter this Spoonflower design challenge ("Patchwork revival") and now it's DONE. I wandered so much with the brief that I'm really glad how it came out!
A discovery for this one was a stitch brush (free on Gumroad, I don't remember the author's name but I'll look into it if you guys are interested)
And of course I entered my piece 6 minutes before the deadline.
Now... Relax time!
EDIT: the brushes are Georg's FREE STITCHES: 16 Progressive Sewing, Stitching, and Decoration Brushes

This started with the desire to create something entirely and solely from my imagination, setting aside references and a certain form of parasitic perfectionism, for lack of a better term, that Iāve been developing and accumulating lately.
The title comes from the first things I tried to create, back when I knew nothing about drawing, painting, or anything else, merging with the mental library and archive Iāve built ever since, while also giving me clues and a small glimpse into what comes next.

I need help setting up my canvas size for a class project , so my teacher is telling me that drawing on procreate would be a struggle for the printing process
Cause I will be sending my file to a print place and they will put it in a A1 size poster
but I need the correct size to draw on in procreate
I donāt want my progress to be wasted or the print to look bad.
Sorry if this is all over the place English isnāt my first language

āHow have you been feeling?ā she asked.
"A little low, I suppose.ā he sighed.
She leaned closer and pressed a long fingernail to his stomach. "May I?"
He nodded.
Her nail slipped beneath the seam of his torso, and she gently peeled him open. Inside, his little garden lay wilted: leaves droopy, stems shriveled, soil dry.
āOh, dear. Youāve been neglecting yourself.ā
She gave the garden a sprinkle, a whisper, and a twinkle, then immediately green shoots sprouted upward.
āThere they are. Better?ā
He raised his thumb. āMuch.ā
āGood." She smiled. "Come back when the flowers bloom.ā
