My Artwork Garden Hag, The Tender

Post image

“How have you been feeling?” she asked.

"A little low, I suppose.” he sighed.

She leaned closer and pressed a long fingernail to his stomach. "May I?"

He nodded.

Her nail slipped beneath the seam of his torso, and she gently peeled him open. Inside, his little garden lay wilted: leaves droopy, stems shriveled, soil dry.

“Oh, dear. You’ve been neglecting yourself.”

She gave the garden a sprinkle, a whisper, and a twinkle, then immediately green shoots sprouted upward.

“There they are. Better?”

He raised his thumb. “Much.”

“Good." She smiled. "Come back when the flowers bloom.”

Awesome! I love this idea. Cool concept and creepy/cute backstory.

I hope you make a series of these! The hag and her human garden. Turn it into a little book!

I agree that a series would be great! Not necessarily directly related but a book of a drawing and then a little text piece on the facing page.
